    lawn care

    I've been using WeedAWay for seven or eight years now. I can't remember exactly how I found them but I think it was from a flyer we got in the mail. They come regularly in the summer to tend to our garden and they're 100 percent perfect guys. They're always on time, come regularly, and we've had no problems with them at all.

    Weed Control

    I get my lawn(s) done each year by Weed-A-Way. They are a top notch business to deal with. Their employees are always respectful and arrive on time and get the job done. My lawns have never looked better and I will continue to use their services! Highly recommended.

    seeding and weed control

    i moved into my new house and had my lawn hyrdo-seeded which did not turn out as i thought it would my lawn was bare and had more weeds then grass so i sourced out and hired weed-a-way to spray my weeds and then 3 weeks later the owner sent 2 hard working gents over which happened to be his 2 son's who were not only hard working but very nice people to chat with to top-dress and seed my lawn which is a large lot 1Acre property! the grass was coming in but some thicker then others so the owner came out to check on the progress and gave me a free fertilization he said it will help the grass as well as feed the baby grass with the right nutrients to grow thicker. i have to say i am very happy with the results sure enough by the end of the 2012 season my lawn which started off as a not so pretty sight is now thick and green so because of this Weed-a-Way has my 2013 contract for a full season of weed control and fertilization intermediate package

    Weed Control

    I just wanted to say that I have had Weed-A-Way treat my lawn for several years now and been super happy with the results. I've had other companies service my lawn in the past and was not nearly as pleased. They're technicians are knowledgeable and courteous, and their customer service reps have always gone the extra mile to make me feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend their services to others..

    Long time Customer

    i have been with WeedAWay since 2003 and i have always been satisfied with the service my lawn is thick and green! i am retired now and when i take my monthly vacation every year i have had contacted the office to communicate with me through emails as when doing applications while I'm on vacation and that has made me even more comfortable knowing when i return home i can have a nice green lawn! As well David the technician who i have met is extremely nice and i enjoy chatting with him when we have a run in on a visit Thanks

    lawn spray and fertilizer service

    Got a flashy flyer in the mail this spring with this company offering a prepaid service for lawn fertilizing and weed control. I ordered up the premium service as they offer 3 levels basic intermediate and premium the premium is touted as $268.85 but because my lot was bigger they wanted more.So i paid them 500 plus hst. From the get go this company had problems, they only did half of the lot the first time but i caught them and they had to return. A few weeks After my spring fertilization I noticed 2 large dry grass patches on my front lawn near the road, upon closer inspection i saw that the student they hired had spilled the fertilizer dispenser over and was unable to clean all the little pellets left behind, needless to say this burned my grass. I called to have someone come out. I called again to have someone come out. I called again to have someone come out. 3x assured someone would by late august there was a tag on the lawn saying recent chemical spray application for weeds, and i found a small bag of grass seed on the front stoop with a note to seed the area myself. Well if that didnt take all. I am in the roofing business and when i install a new roof for a client i dont tell them if they should ever call me with a roof that is leaking that i will drop off a tube of caulking and a note to go fix it yourself. End of season October i get a call from someone who says they are important,hmm and that they will come out if need be to see what the problem is. I then get passed over to the owner who has alot of balls and says well if you tried to fix it yourself then we need not come out but please be sure it is ok now as i dont want to spend the gas if i dont have too, then has the nerve to ask me for more business in his waste bin service. Ha i just laugh as these people need to get out of the service industry as they have no clue about customer service. As well as paying up front for my service they only offered the intermediate plan which was $68 cheaper and i never did get back the difference. Words to the wise. Stay away from these actors as you can see they arent doing very well on here with a 3.2 rating I only gave them a 2 because the weed control did work well and the grass was fuller and greener by mid summer. Next year i will go back to my old lawn care company for the fiesta weed controls and do the feeder spreading myself.It was pay as you go so i cant get screwed like these guys did once they have your money.This company should change its name to Stay A Way

    I am the manager of your local Weed-A-Way Lawn Care service provider. I wanted to reply personally and let you know I was disappointed to see this review and the false information you have provided along with the unnecessary comments. We at Weed-A-Way take tremendous pride in providing the best service to our customers and apologize that we did not meet your expectations. However you did state you were happy with the weed-control and your lawn was thick and green. Therefore I am not really sure why the review was done in the fist place but I will not pick apart your review and state the facts I am going simply say that we try to cover all the bases, we aren't perfect, The technician did admit that he spilt a little fertilizer at the end of your property which is just under an acre that being said a lot of product was needed and mistakes do happen and he did report it back to the office that only thing needed to fix his mistake was to water to dilute the product and apply more seeds which the instructions were left for you. When I had personally called you to follow up on how the lawn was doing, you said the seed did not take, I had then informed you that I would send the owner out and have a look. The owner did call first to find exactly what the problem was and was definitely ready to come out and do whatever was needed in the spring to satisfy his customer because the first call from you was not until the beginning of November and at that time the lawn is dormancy which explains why he said he would come out in the spring .We obviously let you down, and apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. No one in the industry can match our dedication to providing you with a beautiful lawn and great service! Thank you for review and for the constructive criticism. We will use it to better our services for future clients. We want each person we do business with to walk away feeling satisfied, and that apparently didn't happen in your case but then again we were not given the chance. However I do think it’s important to let other readers know that this review is inaccurate the customer was offered for a technician to come out and fix the problem.

    Lawn Care

    Just outstanding service delivery and helpful office staff. The office Manager, Laura was able to answer any questions I had and was very pleasant and polite to deal with. As always, Weed-A-Way stands out from the competition!!!

    Third Year using Weed-A-Way

    I want to start off by saying I was very dissatisfied with Weed-A-Way two years running (small things like arrogant customer service folks, no-shows for service etc) but i had a change of heart this season. My experience this season was a lot different. When I called late last year to cancel my contract with them, I was transfered to a manager named Tasha. She asked me why I was leaving and genuinely asked me to stay and that she would prove me wrong. I was very reluctant to stay but to be honest the product works. I don't think Weed-A-Way stands out alone with their issues, so keep that in mind. Most lawncare companies operate using a similar business model - so if you want your lawn cared for, learn the model and play in that sandbox. If you are not prepared to, do the lawn yourself. I hate to say it but sometimes you can't please everyone... read the letters you get in the mail (a lot of companies like magazines, products by mail etc. auto-renew) and cancel if you don't like it. I am on a 'do not auto renew' option because I feel like my business needs to be earned, every year. I am very hard to please but have to say what Weed-A-Way did this year and how they have gone out of their way to make good on their promise - means that they've made a long-term customer out of me. I sure hope Tasha stays forever but barring that; i hope the owner and management has taken a page from her dealings with customers/ issues. I have just signed them up for the next season. If you choose to reach out, try Tasha - she really is amazing. And be nice; that goes a long way.

    black garden soil

    Dealt with weed-a-way on the gaden topsoil - ordered 3 bags, had a minor issue which I cannot say was from the product, user error or coincidence. I contacted Weedaway and received a call back within 24 hours from customer service as well as from Kevin 48 hours later to ensure that everything had been resolved and to make an appointment with me to check it out in person. He came by checked it out this morning and has offered advice on how best to fix my lawn by myself (it had been badly neglected by the previous owners for several years so wasn't in great shape to begin with) as well as assistance in resolving it if I'm not able to do it myself (Note: not an upsell - as I was told how to do it myself first) Regarding some of the previous posts about Kevin being intimidating or staff being rude, I have not found this to be the case at all. Both with the person I spoke to on the phone and with Kevin, I have had nothing but satisfactory, friendly and professional conversations both on the phone and in person. I have to respect a company where the owner not only takes a personal interest in issues (no matter how minor) but also in resolving them.

    Summer 2011 lawn care

    Good company, good results. We used other companies in previous years but only ever had problems with customer service. Weed-A-Way is responsive and we definitely noticed an improvement in the quality of our lawn throughout the season.
