I used Verdun mainly because friends had positive experiences with them. I have been disappointed at every stage. Sales: I received a quote 3-4 weeks prior to the green-on program being announced. Once it was announced, I followed up with the salesman saying that I wanted to move forward. He informed me that he had to remeasure. This 'remeasure' resulted in an increased price of over 1000. Meanwhile, when the installer came for final measure, he said that the sales person's remeasure was wrong and should not have affected the cost Install: I don't believe this to be the fault of the installers, but more that Verdun is overbooking their projects. They had only two days for our project and probably needed more. The issues: - Insulation foam sprayed all over child's room - Insulation foam stuck all over window sill - The size of the trim that our saleperson assured us they would have, was not actually available. This means that we need to do a ton of extra painting and mudding. - One of the installers who was trying to mud around the trim, informed me that he had never applied mud before - While installing trim they put a finishing nail through the side of the window frame. - We were sent windows that did not have the correct size window trellis from our quote. This affect 6 windows in 2 openings. - 3 windows have flashing that are were not installed correctly, so water sits on the frame instead of draining out. - 2 windows have marks between the panes, almost like a hand print. After Install: I informed them of the issues soon after install. It took about 4 weeks to get new windows for the incorrect trellis. But unfortunately, one of the windows they sent was broken, and another was broken during install. I am still waiting for new windows over 4 weeks later. Since the green-on program has been stopped, I am no doubt at the bottom of their list, since they need to rush out as many orders as possible by the new program end date of October 31. update: I just now received a call to book an appt to replace the windows.

Verdun Windows and Doors worked efficiently and quickly to replace old with very solid new windows. They added foam insulation and removed the wood which was rotting and uneven. They carefully measured down the 8th inch to ensure windows would be level and straight. It had been raining a lot just before they arrived and they were very careful not to damage the hardwood floor. They were very polite and showed us how to remove the windows for cleaning etc. The only thing is that there seemed a bit of debris outside where the bits of old flashing had been removed. Some of this small debris blew into the backyard and in front of the neighbour's backyard to the right of our condo townhouse- but the wind was gusty and they had collected most of the debris themselves. We are very happy Ottawa Clients and would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

We are very pleased with the service we got from Verdun. Starting with getting an estimate by Maxime, who was so great we ordered every window to be replaced on the spot and will now do the same with a new front door. To the installation by Eric and Matt. They were all professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure we were never put out. The windows Verdun made were beautiful. I am very proud to show them off. I highly recommend Verdun. The installers, Mark and Glenn, did excellent, careful work despite the challenges of installing full-frame windows in our 110-year-old, 3-storey, central Ottawa home. The windows are beautiful and they look great with 5" trim the installers brought which blends really well with the large original baseboards that the house still has. Everyone we dealt with at Verdun, from the office staff to the appraiser (Pat Malette), were extremely helpful and pleasant. The entire experience was terrific and we could be happier with the final results. Thank you, Verdun!

We had the privilege of having Benjamin and Harry from Verdun Windows to complete some service / cosmetic 'edits' to our recently installed Verdun windows. These two were extremely personable, professional, and took great care and pride in their workmanship. We could not be happier with the finished product!

Windows were of good quality and installers were professional. I had a problem with the size of the windows but they were replaced with the correct ones. Excellent customer service.

These windows are the best and my salesman Max was amazing. He took care of me from beginning to end and went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with the final outcome. Whenever I had questions or concerns, Max was there to help. He even gave specific instructions to the installers to leave the original trim of the house in place for certain windows and to replace the trim completely for other windows which added significantly to the final look. The windows themselves are fantastic quality and look beautiful. My neighbour just had all their windows done but went with another company because Verdun was so heavily booked. Being able to compare the windows side by side really highlighted how much better Verdun windows are. My installer Rob was friendly, accommodating and offered really great advice when I asked. I was nervous about the installation because I was concerned that the stucco around the windows would get damaged, but Rob installed the new windows without damaging any stucco at all! He also repaired some rotting wood and an ant colony that was found after removing one of the largest windows. I'm so happy he found this issue and repaired it. Rob left the work site spotless, cleaning up all garbage and debris. He also walked through the property with me to ensure my satisfaction and took the time to teach me how to properly lock and clean each window. Max and Rob also helped me follow through with the GreenOn program submission which was very much appreciated. Knowing that I can call Verdun at any time in the future if there are any issues gives me great piece of mind. I couldn't be happier that I chose Verdun for this very important investment.
