    Great knowledge and patience

    We were pretty thorough in our research as my wife is a big cook and the kitchen is probably more important to her than most. Mathieu and CAS had great knowledge and advice and he stayed with our questions without becoming the least bit phased. In the end despite our research and shopping around we came back to a package that was pretty much what he advised in the first place. The bottom line is that you need to feel comfortable with what you buy and who you purchase from. At this stage we are. I will update you once they are all installed.

    New washing machine

    CAS recommended by a friend, and dealt with Tom Tahmasebi to order a washing machine. Knew what I wanted, and Tom explained the order process and services provided, and information relevant to the order. Didn't push or try to upsell the machine or extended warranty. Had some questions regarding ranges, and he was patient and provided good options and price ranges. Pricing at CAS much better than competitors, even shipping costs. Also had options for priority or regular delivery times if needed, which isn't really offered by others. Will certainly consider for future purchases.

    Delivery gone wrong?

    We purchased a matching washer dryer set from CAS via their website. Originally, we had to wait a bit for both items to be delivered to the warehouse, but soon enough we were able to book a delivery date. The night before the delivery, we got a phone call confirming it and stating that it would arrive between 1 and 5pm. Great! So the next day, work was booked off, and I was waiting around for the delivery. At around noon, I thought I would check the online tracking system and found that our order had been CANCELLED by the store. In shock, I called the customer service number, and they said that yes, it indeed had been cancelled because they didn't have all of the items. I explained that I had received a confirmation email the night before. They said yes, the order was cancelled in the morning. My next question was in regards to not being informed on the day of? Perhaps a day of work didn't have to be missed! They said they didn't know what happened, and kept transferring me to different people around the company. I spoke to Customer Service, Customer Care, Logistics, and then back to Customer Care where, after being on hold for such a long period of time, my call must have been "timed out" because it went directly to a voicemail system. I called back two more times and the same thing happened. Finally, on the third call, I told the person who answered that they weren't allowed to transfer me. This gentleman (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) was very understanding and supportive. He put me on hold for a short time while he personally checked that another employee was available before transferring me. I then spoke to this next person who said there was not much they could do, but the delivery would come the following Friday. I asked if there would be some sort of reimbursement and she said that they could reimburse only the delivery fee. Well, I've been incredibly inconvenienced. One day off of work, and another one coming up because of a failed delivery attempt? I asked her to speak with her manager and she said that he told her the same thing. I said that I was so disappointed and that I wasn't sure if I should keep my order with them. At this point I was told that that was the manager's message: "You can get the delivery fee back or just cancel your order." Is this what you call customer service? I then asked to speak with the manager. The only additional compensation I was requesting was $40 - the amount it would cost to take out my old washer and dryer. Well, this manager was a piece of work. Essentially he said no, this isn't possible, and he said that their prices are so low that they can't give bigger discounts. So I said, well then don't make mistakes like this! He was sarcastic and condescending. At the end of the conversation, I told him the only reason we were sticking with the delivery was because I needed the new washer before the holidays, but that I probably would not ever consider shopping at Canadian Appliance Source again. His response: "That's okay". I do actually know his name, but won't post it because I have ethics...but he was a Customer Service Manager...there was no customer service on his end what-so-ever.

    Canadian Appliance Source - "Power RANGErs"

    After a week and a half without the use of our 6 year old range that had a damaged temperature sensor and was burning everything to a crisp within minutes ... we were in desperate need of a new range ... not worth the cost to repair the old one unfortunately - we needed a new range and fast! Called them up ... Mark Yakut answered ... within 10 minutes the purchase was done and delivery was arranged ... tomorrow we get our new range! Amazing!

    Great service, knowledgable staff - what more can you ask for?

    I had read a review here about CAS's return policy so decided that I would only go there to see 2 washing machine models. I fully intended on purchasing from a big box store even if it was a few dollars more. When I arrived, I was greeted by Angelo Moutoulas. He told me that both models I was interested in were on display but also suggested I look at another one. He showed me the specs and price point that I'd be looking at. In addition pointed out that this model had a 10 year motor warranty whereas the others were only 1 year. Then he showed me all three on the showroom floor. I was impressed but still needed to check out online reviews. Angelo explained the return policy ... basically, products will be accepted if it's defective and approved by the manufacturer. A few hours later, I called Angelo to complete the purchase transaction. The whole process was extremely efficient and I was able to get my new washer in a matter of days. Thank you Angelo for pointing me in the right direction! I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

    New microwave

    Checked multiple stores on Black Friday for a specific Panasonic microwave model. Several gave prices but nobody had it in stock. Alex also said no stock but was the first salesperson to offer to order it. And his price was better than the others! Emails kept me posted on the order status. Two weeks later, I picked it up. Pickup dock was very organized and efficient. Great service all around and great price. Very satisfied.

    Good sales staff, good prices, unreachable customer service line (for extended warranty)

    Last year, I bought a Bosch dishwasher plus the 4yr warranty. 14 months after the purchase, I encountered an issue with the appliance. I called Bosch first and they said that the problem should be covered by the extended warranty and so I contacted CAS. The first time I called the customer service line at CAS a few weeks ago, I waited 30min and eventually gave up. Today, I called again and like that last time that I was on-hold, a recording periodically thanked me for holding and that 'your call is important to us'. In between, there was music and some voice-overs that say 'we treat our customers like family' or something of that sort. I was happy to hear a ring after about 6 minutes of holding but then a voice recording told me to leave a message and that they will get back to me within 48 hours. Unbelievable that a customer would be put on-hold only to leave a message.

    Washing machine & Dryer

    Both machines were ordered through internet. Derek gave us an excellent service and all the information (in English and in French) we needed before buying the machines. Confirmation of purchase was quickly received by e-mail and delivery date was confirmed a couple of days after we placed our order. Excellent service (we didn't get the machines yet and we hope that the delivery will be as good as the processing of our order. Thanks

    Fridge Order

    Dave help us identify the best fridge which fits our needs (size, quality, quietness, etc). He was very professional and effective. He took the time to explain us various options. Thank you Dave !

    GE Cafe Gas Range

    I would recommend Canadian Appliance Source for your appliance needs. Josh Zinga was very helpful in addressing our concerns, without any aggressiveness to make a sale. He was informative when it came to product specifications and listened to our questions. A pleasure to do business with. Our delivery experience was just as explained to us. The delivery came within the specified time, and the delivery persons were polite and respectful of our home.
