Awful experience. Called to buy a dryer. They promised to install it, but didn't. I asked three times if the final price included installation. All three times their sales representative said yes. I even told them the existing dryer was over 40 years old. Sadly, after all was said and done, they should have asked me just ONE question: Is the current dryer hard-wired or with a dryer plug? They didn't. Ultimately, when the delivery guys came, they immediately said that they couldn't install the new dryer. I asked them why. They said because the existing dryer is hard-wired. They didn't know how to do it.
1) THEY are the professionals. THEY should understand THEIR business. THEY need to ask the right questions.
2) Had they told me up front that they could not install the dryer, that's okay. I would have said thank you and found another company who could.
3) THEY broke their contractual promise. They said three times that they would install the dryer, but didn't.
Now I have to find an electrician to install the unit; an entirely unexpected and unnecessary expense.
Yes, they did offer to credit the installation charge, but that's not the issue. That credit MUST be returned. It's not their choice under the circumstances.
All I asked is for a fair proposal from them; however, it was virtually impossible to get them to call back, even though they always said they would.
Again, awful, awful experience.
