    Purchased a new Wall Oven

We recently purchased a replacement double wall oven for our home. We found Canadian Appliance to be the best priced in Canada. We did some research on the company and felt confident in our decision to purchase from them. Our options were limited due to the size of our previous wall oven cutout and the sales representatives helped us narrow down our choices. We received the product and delivery went hassle free. My wife and I are very happy with our purchase and would recommend Canadian Appliance Source to anyone.

    Kitchen Update

Recently purchased my entire kitchens appliances from Canadian Appliance Source and was very pleased with the experience. Customer service was outstanding. I hadn’t needed my units until my kitchen was completed, and Canadian Appliance held them for 3 months until I was ready for delivery. Delivery personnel were very accommodating and scheduled the exact time for delivery when I had elevator availability in my building. We love the new appliances that Mike helped us choose. We really appreciated that this large purchase went smoothly and uneventfully. Would recommend them to family and friends for sure.

    Purchased Refrigerator

I needed a fridge in a pinch because mine broke down. I found Canada Appliance on the internet and loved their easy to use website. They had the best prices from all the companies that I searched, including Sears. I had some questions so I called and spoke to Danny who had all the answers. I ordered the fridge on the spot and Danny told me he could deliver next week. I begged him for next day delivery because we just could not survive without a fridge. He was kind enough to rearrange his delivery schedule to accommodate us. This is the second time that I've bought from CA and I wouldn't consider any other company for my appliances. BTW, I visit their website monthly because they always have some fantastic blowout deals to take advantage of.

    washer & dryer unit

***UPDATE*** I made a complaint about this company on Homestars before, back in October 2010 regarding our awful experience with this company. I must say that judging by some of the reviews on this site, they must have their store manager writing rave reviews, not actually dealing with customer service issues. In response to their response to my Homestars review- "Our store only offers Basic Washer & Dryer installation. This situation required a certified plumber which we do not provide." A) It WAS a basic washer & dryer installation, the dryer just needed to be configured to vent out the side of the unit- when I called Maytag about this, they told me that the supplier (distributor) did this, not the manufacturer, or the consumer. I made it very CLEAR with the salesman that this had to be done and his response was- "yes, we can do that." B) Regarding the "certified plumber" comment. The issue with this poor installation had nothing to do with plumbing. That is aside from the fact that your goon delivery men took a part of the drain pipe with them when they left our home, therefore not connecting the plumbing drain properly AND causing me to have to go to Home Depot to pick up the same part that came with the unit. I'm pretty sure my plumber friends would laugh if they were called to a job to connect a drain pipe and two supply hoses... To further caution fellow Homestars users, I'd like to provide full disclosure on how Canadian Appliance Source dealt with my Better Business Bureau complaint. I should also add that CAS didn't even respond to the BBB, here is a quote out of my case (this is BBB writing- not mine!)- 11/22/2010 No Response received from Business on 2nd Notice Dec 15/10 - company advised they will reply shortly. fd Dec 13/10 - called 416-782-5900 and was put on hold for 10 mins. Have sent email to naiomi@ and sales@canadianappliancesource.ca. fd I've made my complaint clear here on Homestars, here is their BBB suggested resolution to the same complaint (once they finally responded to the BBB)- 01/06/2011 Receive Business Response We are sorry to hear about your story. We have no way of knowing if parts were taken. We deliver all parts. Out of good faith we will give you $50. Thank you HERE IS MY RESPONSE- 01/07/2011 Consumer Satisfied- with Letter (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) We accept the act of good faith in response to our poor customer service experience with Canadian Appliance Source. HOWEVER- AFTER THREE WEEKS- NO REFUND WAS ISSUED, SO- 01/25/2011 Received Consumer Rebuttal We have yet to receive our $50 from Canadian Appliance Source. As far as I'm concerned, this case should be reopened. RESPONSE FROM CAS- 01/26/2011 Received Business' Rebuttal Response We will refund you the 59 for delivery. MY RESPONSE- 01/27/2011 Consumer rejects business' final offer (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We accepted your offer of $50 on 01/07/2011. After almost three weeks we have yet to receive this "offer of good faith." Until we receive the money, I am unwilling to consider our case resolved. Once the money has been received, I will gladly close the case. RESPONSE FROM CAS- 01/28/2011 Received Business' Rebuttal Response We removed the appliances for free. 5 business days is an estimated time, as stated on the web site. We still had a two man team come to your house and drop the unit off so a $59 charge is in order. We can not take responsibility for damages incured in the home as stated on the invoice. MY RESPONSE- 01/31/2011 Consumer rejects business' final offer (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) So you're renegging the offer of a refund now, hillarious. The customer service provided by this company is appalling and I strongly caution anyone considering doing business. I do not except this response from the business and thus, my BBB complaint stands. Needless to say, sounds like Homestars user Peter in Toronto and I should be sharing awful customer service tales of CAS over beer! ;-) ***ORIGINAL HOMESTARS POSTING*** Due to their reasonable price, my wife and I ordered a washer/dryer unit from this company. The salesman assured me that the unit would be delivered within 5 business days. Before purchasing it, I confirmed that the unit would be installed a certain way. We were unsatisfied with this company in the following ways: - the unit was delivered 4 days late. - the unit was not installed properly (not as agreed with the salesman) and was actually installed against the manufacturers specifications- unit not leveled, drain form part missing, etc. the "installers" were clearly delivery men and, therefore, not qualified to install appliances (let alone a light bulb). - the installers damaged our home (see image of scratched floor). - the installers took parts of the old washer with them that were needed to install the new one and ALSO took parts of the new washer necessary for installation. (due to this I had to purchase additional parts at Home Depot) - when we asked to speak to the manager, we were told "he's not in until tomorrow" for 4 straight days. we asked to speak with the owner and were told "he refuses to deal with customer service". when we finally did speak with the manager, he failed to adequately address our customer service/satisfaction complaints. I'm probably forgetting something.... Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend Canadian Appliance Source to anyone. The $100 you might save on an appliance is NOT worth the headaches and awful customer service experience.

    Answer from pro:

Canadian Appliance Source strives to please each and every customer. Our store only offers Basic Washer & Dryer installation. This situation required a certified plumber which we do not provide. Customer was fully refunded for NON installation. In rare instances products are back ordered, we do apologize for the delivery delay of 4 days. Store Manager

I had a lovely experience dealing with this company. Exceptional customer service, and the best prices in Canada. I dealt with some great fellows there. The dryer and washer that I ordered works like a charm. I would recommend them to anybody.

    Dishwasher

Buyer Beware! This company has the worst customer service and are so unprofessional. First, we order a dishwasher that the customer service rep tells us that will be shipped to their warehouse in 5-7 days. Ofcourse we waited and waited, and had to phone them to find out that the dishwasher was on back order and wouldn't be available for 3 months. Then, we get another model and I wait for delivery, and they don't show up. After getting verification from two of their staff members. They call me and twist it - saying the employee should have told me that it was a tentative delivery time. Why would I take off work for a tentative delivery time?!? Doesn't really make any sense, neither does the company, and they do little to accomadate you after you made the purchase. Unprofesional service.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Cindy, We really do apologize for your experience with our Company. Canadian Appliances Source delivers efficiently and on time hundreds of home appliances on a daily basis. In rare instances some high demand sale items may be back-ordered from the manufacturer. we do apologize for any inconveniences.

    Weber gas grill

I usually don't write reviews, even when I receive poor customer service. But this service was so exceptionally BAD I feel the need to share it - to allow you to make an informed decision before buying from Canadian Appliance Source. It all has to do with the delivery of a Weber BBQ to my home. I ordered the silver level (in room) service - I paid the extra cash as I knew the BBQ would be heavy and I would prefer a professional delivery to my first floor home. After a comedy of errors on behalf of Canadian Appliance Source, the BBQ arrived at my home 3 weeks after being ordered. My girlfriend had stayed at home by herself to receive the delivery (after all, we had paid for in room delivery). When the Delivery guys arrived, they stated that I had only paid for street delivery. My girlfriend politely refused street delivery (she could hardly carry the BBQ in to the house herself) and the delivery truck took the BBQ back to their wharehouse (they were polite and understanding of the issue). About two days later I receive a series of phone calls from Phil (of Canadian Appliance Source). He starts off by telling me that I need to accept the delivery on the street, claiming all sorts of crazy excuses for why the product cannot be delivered in to the house. When he realises I am no push over and that I easily (and politely) shutdown each of his wild claims, he quickly becomes extremely rude, argumentative and aggressive. I keep stating to him that all I want is a solution, and his rantings continue and he escalates (I think this guy believes bullying the customer is the winning solution). I have never had a less helpful set of discussions with a customer service department - and I mean EVER. Following the pointless discussions with Phil, I work directly with the delivery company. In contrast, these guys were very professional and helpful (their name is Sameday Delivery) - and the amazingly difficult delivery Phil kept ranting about became an easy delivery one week later. No doubt these guys (Canadian Appliance Source) have good prices, but their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I will not shop again with them, regardless of their pricing. Please take the utmost care when ordering from these guys. Do so at your own risk!

    Washer and dryer

Attempted to purchase a washer and dryer from canadian appliance source. They charged my credit card on may 11th and told me that the appliances would be shipped out the following week. After 2 weeks of waiting I contacted them and kept being transfered to another member of their staff, whom would always tell me will be shppied tomorrow for sure. That went on for 3 days , finally I asked to speak with a manger who informed me that they were cancelling my order because they suspected I was a fraud as well as my credit card. When I asked how they had come to this conclusion, I was told by Ari (listed on BBB site as CEO) who told me he was only security for the company that they believed because I kept calling to check on the status of my order that it smelled fishy to them. I don't know about anjyone else but if I was committing fraud and thought they may be onto me I would not pursue it. Oh and this story gets better. After telling me that they were cancelling my order they proceeded to charge my credit card AGAIN. So a company that claims they suspected fraud made 2 charges on my credit card for almost 1800$ in the span of 3 weeks.I have made a complaint with the better business bureau, and we will se what happens with that. If nothign is done I plan to take this matter higher , so that they never do this to another customer again. Consumers beware!!!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Karen, Sorry for your experience. Canadian Appliance Source was notified by your credit card company after each attempted authorization that these charges were fraudulent. We did reverse both authorization immediately. Sorry for any inconveniences. Store Manager

    Oven

I recently purchased an oven from the Canadian Appliance Source and was so pleased with their product and especially their service. I was treated with respect and dignity and the job was done very quickly. They guided me in choosing the product and learning how to use it and take care of it. I would definetly recommend this company to anyone who likes attention and are when making an important purchase! Thank You!!

    WEBER GAS BBQ

We have ordered a Weber Gas Grill and we were told that it will be delivered in TWO WEEKS!!!!!!! That was just a big false promise, because when we contacted them after 3 weeks of waiting we were told that the grill is not available and they have no time frame when it will be available. Also they charged my credit card after they told me that it will not be charged till they receive the unit in their warehouse. The salesman Paul kept putting me on hold again and again after I showed my displeasure over the phone just to tell me eventually that the Grill might be available in another 10 days to 2 weeks but with no guarantees. I acknowledge that they had the most competitive price in the market but lower price means bad customer service & false promises. Now I am still waiting my Gas Grill to arrive and paid for something which I am not sure when or if it will ever arrive.... Any suggestions please let us know?. This was our first time dealing with this company and we are now wondering if we ever should have!!!!!!!!!!!!!
