    3 new wood windows

    I have used Dundas Specialty Windows and Doors before, and they never disappoint. I had 3 new wood windows installed and the job was done in 1 day, along with a good clean up. The offered to reinstall the trim which was not part of the scope, and we were appreciative of that. I find Nelson and team to be very professional and very helpful. I would use the again.

    Great work wonderful after sales support

    My wife and I had brand new Anderson patio doors installed in our home from Dundas Specialty Windows & Doors. The job was great we were very pleased. Unfortunately, despite all our precautions a slopy contractor damaged one of the doors while doing a large renovation for us. We called Dundas and they sent out Marcio their repair specialists. Due to weather conditions, you can not paint in the rain, it took a bit, until the weather cooperated with us. We are very pleased with the work, the quality and attention to detail that was afforded our issue. We would highly recommend Dundas as a company that not only did a great install but is willing to rectify issues that can happen afterwards. Thanks to Marcio, Stacey and the entire team at Dunas

    Window installation

    Got 5 Anderson windows installed by Dundas and I must say the experience was great and the windows look amazing. The staff were super friendly very professional and helpful. The installer did a great job, I absolutely love the way they came out! I would highly recommend Dundas S. windows and doors!!

    Wouldn't go through that again

    We wouldnt order windows from Dundas again. If I had to guess, they took on too many new customers during the pandemic us among them and got overwhelmed. Regardless, there were a variety of delays at nearly every stage of the process (acceptable, given COVID), always new excuses for them (less so), and poor communication throughout (worst of all). One example of many: when the windows were installed, there was a handle missing for one, which meant we couldnt open it, and the wrong bathroom window in a pair had been sandblasted for privacy. Hey, it happens. But it took weeks of regularly calling and emailing before we even got a visit booked to fix those issues, and a total of a month and a half before they actually were. As you can imagine, there was plenty more where that came from. Indeed, just about every step of the process felt like one we had to drag Dundas through to get anything resembling their help. The windows are nice, Ill say. But all in all, not an experience Id want to go through again, and not one I can recommend.

    Mr. Topping, what you have described and acknowledged in your review is an industry wide problem that has plagued the entire construction industry since the start of covid. We, like many other business, are at the mercy of our suppliers that have been caught up in material shortages, staffing shortages, shipping container shortages, increased demand and slew of other issues that are too long to mention. These are not made up excuses, they are real and create difficult situations and frustration you and for us. We are family run business and have been in business for 37 years... something we are very proud of. We are not perfect, but we are doing the best we can with the information we are provided. Lack of communication has been an issue because things are constantly changing, and in most cases, information is not provided to us or only provided at the last minute which makes it impossible to tell our customers exactly what is going on, this is a fact. Your glass came wrong, we got that corrected. Sounds like you were happy with the product and the quality of the install... the issues you are unhappy about are just out of our control. I truly apologize for all of the delays and for what you felt was poor service. Nelson Pereira

    new entry door

    Very high quality door and lock set. The installers arrived promptly and did a great job. I would definitely use this company again for future projects.

    Windows replacement

    We had Dundas Windows replace 11 windows back in Sept 2019. We are still very happy with the windows - look and quality. Pros: -professional staff, from sales rep to installers -quality product Cons: -some of the work was completed early evening when it was dark. Upon completion, there was noticeable extra caulking in large front and back windows. We had some back and forth to get the installers to come back to do the fix. Would have preferred for Dundas to do a final inspect and to more closely manage any follow-up required. In the end, rectified and happy with final product.

    Great windows installation

    I just had 8 windows replaced by Dundas Wood Windows and they did an exceptional job. The windows are perfect and Antonio and Keith did an incredible job on the installation and aluminum cladding - it looks much better than I expected. My house is an 1885 Victorian and Antonio was very mindful of this and the cladding supports the style of the house. This is the second time I’ve used Dundas Wood Windows and both times the office staff and installers were great to work with. The window products they use are high quality, which is important as installing new windows is a sizeable and long lasting investment. I would highly recommend this company if you’re looking for quality windows at a reasonable price.

    Amazing Service!

    Wow!! From the quote to the install this Dundas Wood Windows and Specialties was wonderful to work with. They were responsive, professional and the installers were the best! They took the time to clean up everything, and left the place looking better than when they came :) The new windows and patio doors look fantastic and could not be more happy! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    Quality workmanship & installation

    I was looking for quality installation on quality window products. anderson windows are quality window products so the key was to find an installer who cared about the job they did. this company cares about the job they do. we got quotes from pella, nordic, anderson, lepage, & entryguard. we knew they were all quality doors (sliding glass) & the price was competitive for all of them but anderson offered a wood framed sliding glass door with an aluminum clad exterior & stainless steel rollers & a multipoint lock for less than lepage. so it was between lepage & anderson & lepage only had a lift & slide door in our size which is custom (the whole width of the house & height of the 1st floor) for $7,000 more than anderson quote. so then we had to see if this anderson seller would do a good job on installation. they convinced me that they would by whatever means. & they did. they are not high pressure they are very low key but thats a good thing. they answered my questions well & did what they said they would do leading up to the purchase. so we went with them & now we have a place i'm comfortable going with for all our windows & doors. Good work guys! I also want to update & say that when mike & alex were done with the installation - they said they would come back the next day to finish some aluminum trim on the exterior of the house. so the next morning around 8:00 am 1st thing they came as promised & did more great work on the aluminum trim. the trim looked great with good caulking around the edges & was well installed with all the little details done. - more great work.

    Window and door replacement

    We replaced 90% windows and our front door, on a 1910 era home in Leslieville. The product selection was excellent and we were able to customize certain elements to align with the style of the home. We purchased aluminum clad wood windows, French casement style, with custom painted interior frames to match our trim colour and the colour matching was perfect! Likewise we customized the glass in the front door with our own design of coloured glass. We love the work and have had so many compliments already! This week the house is being painted on the exterior and will look fantastic after everything is complete. We appreciate all the consultation you provided under extraordinary pandemic circumstances, the extra site visits to figure out glass colours and door adjustments and Nigel’s patience making the revisions. Thank you to the team for an efficient, expert job and a clean worksite at the end. The house is incredibly quiet now, and we are suddenly aware of all the inefficiencies of our old windows. We will have some windows to do after a kitchen/bathroom renovation and will definitely come back to you for your expertise.
