Basement Renovation
We recently had Novacon construction re-finish our basement due to a flood we had in late fall. We had the insurance companies contractors come out for a quote and they removed the damaged areas from the flooding. We then called Pavel to come an give us a quote as he was reffered to us from a family member. The quote he gave us was slightly less than the other contractor so we decided to give them the project. Once his crew started they started to discover a long list of problems that the previous contractor had made. He repaired these items such as lack of vapour barrier in 2 bedrooms, improper subfloor and framing installation, ducts were on wrong side of vapour barrier...to name a few. He took the time to explain these problems and solutions and he didnt even charge us for these things!!! We were very impressed with the crews professionalism and respect for our house. Thanks to the guys at Novacon you did a fantastic job and we will definately use you in the future!!

Hi Peter There were a lot of surprises that came up when we had a look at what the previous contractors had done. Fortunately its nothing we haven't come across before and only caused minor delays with the additional work. I hope you and your wife enjoy the new basement!!

Basement door
Shortly after moving into a new house, we quickly recognized that we needed a door to a room in the basement to make it the perfect suite for our nanny. Having worked with Pavel and his crew on my previous house, it was a no-brainer to call him again, even for this tiny job. Pavel had the work done to the quality I expect and within a quick time frame, leaving no evidence of any work afterwards other than the finished door. The only question I am left asking now is, which project do I bring to Pavel next?

Home addition and second story renovation
We engaged Pavel and Novacon to add a ground floor addition, larger second story addition as well as a complete demolition and renovation of the second story. We talked to many different contractors before deciding on Pavel but were immediately attracted to his management approach and easy going attitude. Pavel provided us with a detailed proposal and payment schedule that outlined every aspect of the job, it's timing and it's cost. Any changes to the proposal were managed through formal change requests so that at all times we knew the status of the work, it's cost and schedule. Through the course of a 7 month renovation there was rarely a day when we weren't in touch with Pavel and at no time were we left wondering what was happening with our home. Any time we encountered unforeseen issues Pavel notified us right away, explained the issue and presented us with options. If we asked for recommendations, Pavel would tell us his opinion but at no time did we feel pressured to do work we weren't comfortable with or to expand the scope of the job. Despite some serious delays at the beginning of our job (we got caught by several weeks of extreme and uncharacteristic rain fall) our renovation was only a month beyond schedule and was finished on budget. We're overjoyed with the quality of the work and have no regrets whatsoever about undertaking the renovation. We would happily recommend Pavel and Novacon to anyone considering work on their home.

Addition, basement reno
We hired Pavel to put an addition over our 3 car garage, update exterior pillars, add a balcony, finish our basement, and convert a laundry room into a 3 piece bathroom and mudroom. It was a very big job, took approximately 5 months and was completed on schedule. Pavel provided us with a detailed breakdown of estimated costs to be expected for the job. We were very happy with the work completed by Pavel and his team. He was very easy to talk to and work with when we wanted changes made or wanted to upgrade a particular feature. The team was always courteous and respectful of our time and space considering the house was being lived in at the time. Mike and Andre took the time each day to sweep and tidy up before leaving. We were happy with all the finishes and if we had a concern it was addressed and/or fixed immediately. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Pavel and Novacon and will definitely hire them again to complete a renovation project!

Whole House Renovation
Novacon gutted and renovated our first and second floors, including kitchen and bathroom, in early 2013. Our experience with Pavel, Mike, Andre, and their subcontractors was amazing. Pavel was very collaborative and accommodated our feedback, was considerate of our timeline and budget limitations, and talked us down when we were inevitably stressed during such a large scale project on our home. He and his team are experienced, courteous, friendly, professional. I recommend Novacon unconditionally and would work with them again on any reno in the future.

Bathroom renovation
I hired Novacon because of a leak onto my basement ceiling. Pavel was the person with whom I negotiated. It was soon discovered that the culprit was the roof. Pavel organized to have the roof fixed. He started renovating the bathroom on May 21, 2013; the entire project finished on June 6, 2013 within budget, as well as without any unpleasant surprise. Pavel explained everything to me before hand. His workers worked on the project punctually everyday. I am very happy with the job.

Basement Renovation
We were looking to finish our basement. Pavel was first to show up to discuss options and explain what we could do to finish our basement. Pavel's knowledge and experience was exactly what were looking for in a contractor. He explained everything in basic terms, detailing the different choices that we could make along the way. We dug the basement down 3 feet deeper, underpinned the foundation, changed all plumbing, and finished the basement with a family room, laundry, bathroom, small bar and bathroom. Finishing work by Pavel and his team (Mike and Andre) were top notch, we made changes along the way which Pavel incorporated very easily without question or concern. He came in under budget and within the timeline for a big housewarming party. Thank you Pavel and team, we spend all the time in our newly renovated space. We would definitely use Pavel on our next renovation. Mark

Mud/Laundry room reno
I hired Novacon to enlarge our laundry room and give me the mudroom of my dreams. Pavel was a pleasure to deal with and readily took my ideas and made them come to life. He also came up with great suggestions that made it even more than I could have hoped for. The work was done on time and on budget, and the people Pavel had on the job kept the house clean and tidy. We've had nothing but compliments on our new laundry/mudroom--and I can't believe I actually enjoy doing laundry now. I'd absolutely use Novacon again for future renovations. Top notch work.

Underpinning
I worked with Pavel at Novacon completing an underpinning job for him. He was organized and readily available. Some contractors take forever to get back to you but Novacon was pleasure to work with. kitchen and floor renovation
Super Reno at our home ! Kitchen was on time , just as the floor was complete. Believe me I looked around for a contractor and found prices were all over the map. My wife and I got a referral from a friend who used Novacon in the past. We contacted them and spoke to Pavel. He explained the whole process to us in great length and with ease. He explained to us why some contractors had a huge discrepancy in cost and he was right we had experienced that with another contractor when we went on the cheap. We had to re-fix all the mistakes this " HANDY MAN DID" I strongly recommend Novacon For all your Reno needs.
