Spots of mold were appearing on the ceiling of a basement bedroom. When I poked my finger through the affected area, a massive amount of mold was discovered. I called three companies to take a look. Accu-Star was able to assess the day I called. Using an infared detector, Nev was able to show me the extent of the issue and arranged for removal and disinfection the next day. Nev and his team were expert, professional, clean and respectful. Everything that would be and was done to remove the mold and prevent it from coming back was explained to me clearly with all details I requested, including names of chemicals to be used. Nev was also able to offer advice on how to resolve the root cause of the mold which involved a leaking drain pipe that was completely inaccessible, would not be touched by two different plumbers and was quoted as costing thousands of dollars to reroute heating ducts. Nev referred me to a smart problem solving contractor who fixed the problem by rerouting the problem pipe with minimal deconstruction at a cost of only hundreds of dollars.

We noticed some mould on the drywall in the basement and we were a little worried. Called Nev and he came in on a saturday morning to check out the problem. He looked the mould patch and tried to see if there was any moisuture comming into the home using the infra red camera. Fortunatly there wasnt any moisture comming in. He said it was small case of surface mould and that it can easliy be cleaned by getting some spray at the home depot. After asking what I owed him he said not to worry about it. It the mould came back them we need to get it checked out. Thanks Nev. It was great experience dealing with you and I would reccomend you to my friends.

Nev came to my house promptly to inspect the mold in my attic. His knowledge and concern was very helpful in my decision to vent and insulate my attic properly to control the mold until a future date when I may wish to install a complete new roof. His honesty and advice saved me thousands of dollars. I would highly recommend this company and will use their services in the future if a need arises. We found out there was black mold in our basement due to a slow leak from a pipe in the wall. The plumber that found the mold was telling us it could cost us 10,000 dollars to fix the problem. THat is when we called Nev. He came out the next day and walked us through where the mold was and what they were going to do. We did have an extensive mold problem but it only cost us 2,000 (not 10,000). Nev and his team were so helpful and friendly. The started work right away and did a fantastic job. They were even able to save our carpet. It was very reassuring working with the accu-star team and I would recommend them to anyone who finds mold in their home!

The system won`t allow me to give a 20/10! HONEST! Is the first word I think of when Nev Budhwa comes to mind! I had extensive water penetration in my basement and told FOR SURE I had mold. I was quoted about $1500 to fix it. Along comes Nev and it cost me less than $120.00 and he told me I could remedy it myself for $15.00! He took time to explain what had happened and how the mold developed. He also instructed me on how to avoid conditions in order not to allow the mold to surface again. Hope I don`t need him again, but he is my go to person anytime someone asks for a referral.

Nev and his company went above and BEYOND the call of duty. They were simply amazing. Honestly, I've never felt the need to review a company before, but after meeting Nev and his team, I felt that I had to get the word out! After a contractor discovered a water issue in our house, we had Nev over to determine the cause of our problem and to see if we had a mold issue (Nev later discovered that our dryer vent didn't exit the house when it was built and has been pumping hot air internally for 16 years). After the discovery of mold, we were also very concerned since my 6 year old son has had health issues. Every step of the way, Nev and his team kept us informed and updated. Nev was very knowledgeable, honest, professional and concerned. My husband and I highly recommend Accu-Star to anyone. We are extremely satisfied customers!

I was highly impressed with this company. Nev came to my house and inspected the situation (mold on ceiling in a bathroom and on walls in two bedrooms). Using a professional device he ascertained the exact situation and explained very clearly and in great detail what my problem was and how to go about fixing it. The work was scheduled for within a few days and the team arrived on time and set to work immediately. Great care was taken to isolate affected areas and the team worked straight through from morning to late evening - not even stopping for lunch! They were all very polite, professional, thorough and clean, tidying up well after themselves. They left an air cleaner for the next two days to ensure that the air did not retain any particles of mold. I would highly recommend Nevo and his team for any mold problems you may have. Not only did Nev explain the problem, he also taught me all about mold, how it grows and how to prevent it in my home. I now feel extremely clear about everything. He also recommended companies to do follow up contracting work. I felt that the price was reasonable and feel secure that my problem has been taken care of.

We have health issues related to mould, and our doctor had insisted that we have our basement checked out. I called Accu-Star after checking out reviews. Nev came over within a week of my phone call. He was knowledgeable, helpful, honest, friendly, and extremely thorough. He scanned the entire house with a thermal scanner, making sure that we understood everything we were seeing. Nev then identified a number of key areas which will be dealt with in time, and made sure to brief us after so that we fully understood what he had found and what our options were. He recommended holding off on testing until we had completely removed "stuff" from a busy area of the basement - testing will be completed after we have finished removing and checking everything. I cannot recommend Accu-Star enough! No regrets!

We can sum it up in a nutshell...we were impressed. Nev, came out from Accu-Star and did an amazing job. The service was not only friendly and professional, but also thorough. We feel 100% confident we made the right decision to call Accu-Star Environmental Inc. and it is not often that we can say that about a company. He came with a no-nonsense approach and provided a realistic assessment of the property we were interested in purchasing. We had a leak in our basement washroom. We called Accustar to help us to detect if there was mold. Nev arrived on time and used his thermal imagining device to detect moisture and mold in our basement. He also walked the rest of the house to check other areas for us at our request. He did detect mold in 2 areas of our basement and followed up with a very reasonable quote to remove the mold. We were very impressed with Accu-star and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. The job they do is very thorough and professional.
