We're really satisfied with the job that was done. Mario explained the scope of the work and what needed to be done.This included breaking and disposing the concrete around the perimiter of the house, digging around the perimiter of the house by hand, fixing any foundation issue, replacing the weeping tile, applying the waterproofing membrane and removing excess soil. To date, there's no water in our basement and the musty smell is gone. The crew also did an amazing job of cleaning up the jobsite. Given the amount of work done and the price that they charged, we think it was a great deal.

We moved into a house that had been renovated and had an addition built by a well-known builder that has worked on many homes in Olde Oakville. Because of their shoddy work not constructing the foundation, barrier and weeping tile to code, we had water leaking into our basement where the old foundation met the new in both the front and back of the house. We called MMT to investigate the problem and provide us with a quote. Just the amount of time they took to try and identify the root cause of the problem impressed us enough and we hired them after a reasonable quote and excellent reviews. They did not disappoint. The crew worked so hard to remedy the problem, and always checked with us before they had to do anything differently. They also helped us confirm that the builder did not follow building code during construction, which we were able to capture with some photos. MMT did an excellent job, and we would trust them again to work on our home.

These guys were excellent: prompt, organized, polite and great communicators. They were very honest about the scope of work that was needed on our house, built 1910. They didn't try upsell me, though they could have! They taped off the work area carefully, kept the site orderly, and cleaned up very well when they were done. A contractor friend assessed their workmanship as being A1 quality. They were also extremely competitive on price.

We asked one other company to give us a quote beside MMT, The big difference between their estimations was Mario was really detail oriented and looking carefully around the foundation and showed me some cracks that I didn't notice and explained all the details about the way they do waterproofing professionally. We hired Mario for doing the waterproofing one side of the house He and his crew showed up on time as they promised and worked so hard despite of hot weather outside. They worked so hard and finished the job as they estimated. I would definitly hire them in future if I need to and I will definitly recommend them to my families and freinds. Thank You Mario. After getting a quote from MMT and a few other companies, I decided to hire them to work on my house. Mario had given me a very detail quote and explained the process to me and answered all my questions. The crew showed up on time every morning and worked very hard through the heat wave here in Toronto. At every step, Mario and Robert were able to satisfy my expectations and they went over and beyond to put my mind at ease. As with any project on a 50+ yrs old home, there were a couple of surprises but MMT handled them professionally. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the work they did. I hope to enjoy my dry basement for many years to come and I’m sure I can rely on them if there are any issues in the future. I highly recommend MMT for your waterproofing needs.

Our 90+ year old house was having some moisture issues in the basement, dank musty smells and a small amount of standing water in heavy rains along the 2 unwaterproofed walls in our basement. We had quotes from 4 well rated waterproofing companies but MMT's quote was almost 2000$ below our top quote and Mario seemed confident and clear in the methods and materials to be used. The work team even offered to take pictures so we could see and have a complete record of every step of the process. The massive job was finished in 2 days with impeccable cleanup at the end of each day and the quality of work was of the highest quality. Top quality materials were used (based on independently done research and other quotes) and Mario was articulate and professional. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.

Much to my surprise, I experienced flooding in my basement this March 2011 after the winter snow and ice had melted and again after every subsequent rainfall. Water was rushing into the front corner of my house and under the front porch. My basement tenant had just moved in weeks prior and woke up out of bed one morning to find his bedroom carpet soaking wet. I didn't waste any time and called about 8 different waterproofing companies here on Homestars. Out of the 8, Mario at MMT stood out as being the most pleasant, friendly, honest and trustworthy person to deal with when he arrived to give me a quote. He took his time telling me exactly how the waterproofing was going to be done, what was needed, along with various options. His quote was very reasonable so I gave him the job. He was very busy at the time but squeezed my waterproofing into his hectic schedule to help me out a little sooner which I really appreciated. The job was done within 2 days and they worked very hard digging a tunnel under my entrance porch working their way through rock, hard soil and cutting through tough roots from the tree in front of my house to get clear access to the entire front wall right down to the the footing removing all the dirt and debris along the way. I made an effort to watch their work every step of the way and was very impressed with the quality of work they provided. The workers had very limited English so if I had a question I would call Mario and he would call me back within a few minutes. By the end of the job I was pleased with the workmanship and the finished product. It's been almost 4 months now and after many hard rains no sign of leaking in my basement and he offers a 25 year warranty. Mario even came back personally about a month later to remove some of the excess back-filled soil after the ground had settled to make room for my garbage and recycling bins. I'm very pleased with his work and would recommend MMT Waterproofing to anyone including my own mother!! If you need waterproofing done right and at a reasonable price do yourself and your house a favor and call Mario at MMT!

Mario is the ultimate service person. He returns phone calls promptly, keeps you updated, answers all your questions, stands by his work, and helps you through issues, even the ones that are not his fault. After waterproofing the wall on the driveway side, a paving company I hired to redo my driveway carelessly ripped out some flushing and some membrane which the paving company refused to repair properly. Mario came out to fix the issue at no cost but we had to make do without the flushing. After the last torrential rain that lasted about 40 minutes, we found we had a leak in 2 areas of the basement on the same wall. Mario came out to do some water tests with hoses. We found that the problem was due to our wooden door sill which he had previously warned me about. He has recommended changing our door sill and when that is completed he will come to waterproof the external joint again at no cost. The other problem was at the corner of the driveway wall and the front wall. Because moisture seemed to come from 2 directions and he couldn't be sure that it wasn't coming from the driveway side, he offered to dig up a section of the wall he had waterproofed at no cost to me. As of this writing, he will come back and waterproof the front wall, revisit about 2 feet from the corner of the driveway side, and waterproof the joint of a new door sill. It has been stressful but Mario made sure that he was there for us.
