Hello, we just finish developing our basement with Planit Builders and our experience with them was amazing. The customer service was excellent and our site coordinator Dale Coates was super helpful, respectful and professional. They are super clean workers and very well organize company. I recently moved to Copperfield and bought a new house that did not come with a garage. I am very happy with the work the PLANiT Builders has done for me. The site coordinator (John P) was great to deal with. The price was very fair and the upgrades that I asked for were reasonable as well. I am really happy with the finished product, and really happy I chose them. Marius F

I would recommend this company, everyone was great to deal will all the trades were friendly and did amazing work. Any deficiencies were dealt with immediately. I would recommend this company to all our friends and family. Our site contractor was great, he kept us up to date and always recommended the best!

My original review I gave them 8/10, I've now deleted that and I'm re doing it to a 4/10 because of how poorly our deficiencies have been handled. The guy that ran our job is "no longer with them" so my husband wrote the owner an email asking if we could please get our deficiencies dealt with. He then forwarded the email to Steve Belanger who has told us twice that we would be by to take a look and has yet to show. My husband has now wrote a second email 3 days ago and we have yet to hear a response. This just shows us that as soon as their customers sign off they wash their hands clean and are done with them. We WERE very pleased with Planit up until the deficiencies had to be dealt with and now I would not recommend them to anyone. Really disappointed. We didn't pay this kind of money for a job that has yet to be completed.

We had a our basement developed with Planit about just under 5 years ago. I would not recommend or use this company again. From the start they made promises such as maple handrails but then ended up putting in maple coloured hand rails and stated "that is what was the contract stated not actually real maple wood". I had to replace my vacuflow because my square footage increase, that was fine but the my new vaculfow did not work well and when i got it checked out it was determined that there was probably a leak in the hose and it could have just become loose over time even though it never worked right after the reno. So now I have a new vacuflo that never gets used because I will have to cut into my roof and get the vacuflow fixed but plant wouldn't cover it because they claim it wasn't because they loosened when they did the reno. Now, the 5 years of warranty are up and a few months ago and my steam shower is not working and I can't find my owners manual. So I call Planit with hopes they can get me a new one and maybe help with the steam room. I have had a plumber look at the unit but because it is a fiberglass unit they need to contact the manufacture. It has been a month and a half of phone tag and not returning my calls and I am thinking is this because my warranty is now up in a week. You tend to think the worst when people don't act professionally. They have given me excuses that certain people that were working on our issue are gone so it takes time, well maybe they should keep better records of what is happening. I will post what happens in the end.

I was originally happy with the work but over time realized a few things I found weird. Why would you suggest a sensor light that would be wired with another light that is not sensor? It will be on all the time! Now I have a City of Calgary inspector telling me he's checking deficiencies (fire wall wasn't installed) that were never corrected and this company hasn't called me ever to tell me about it. AND our site coordinator Shawn, was fired. They did the work fast and were quick to get the project started but I'd like to know what that did to the quality? I would probably still recommend them but I would warn the person to keep an extra close eye on progress to make sure they're held accountable. >>>>> previous rating below We are very happy from start to finish. I am very happy working with this company.The site supervisor was very approachable. He always update us on what has been done and what will be done for the next week. They are very organize and punctual.i will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.i want to thank Dale Coates and company for a job well done!

Very good work! Garage look great! All work was completed on time with no issues. The matched my home style and everything. I would highly recommend them again. Great company to deal with.

‎Our experience with Planit Builders in developing our basement was very, very positive. We obtained estimates from four companies and Planit provided one of the best. Estimator Don S. was excellent in trying to accommodate our budget. Based on a quote we received from another company, I know that Don did not try to sell us anything we did not need. He discussed every item in the estimate and showed us records of Planit's Pre-Paid Contractors requirements (i.e., PPC Licence and Security Bond). He struck a great balance between good salesmanship, honesty and trust. Once we hired Planit, our next primary point of contact‎ was Site Supervisor Joe P. I always felt our development was in good hands with Joe. He was on site every 2 to 3 days or sooner if needed. He was always accessible by phone and would email end of the week updates on the status of our project. He has excellent attention to detail and made sure that all finishing work was at a very high standard. We also felt that Joe was very honest and trustworthy. When we discussed changes in design, he would only recommend changes that he thought would enhance our home and not for the sake of additional revenue. Looking at the entire company, we were impressed with the logistics of Planit's operations. Once we hired Planit, we were quickly scheduled to meet with the Drafter, Designer and Site Supervisor. All Trades were scheduled to come to our home on a timely basis and were required to sign in. We could view the timeline of the project on Buildertrend. All of the trades that entered our home were very professional. At the end of the project, the cost was exactly on target with the estimate. Another benefit that sold us on hiring Planit is that they offer financing, which allowed us to pay very little prior to the work being completed. There are many stories of Pre-Paid Contractors taking advantage of consumers by taking payment, but not completing the work. We felt safe and secure in hiring Planit. They did exactly what we hired and paid them to do. Thank you!

Our basement renovation included a bathroom, family room and bedroom with walk in closet. We were pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff, the communication on the project, the BuilderTrend tool, and the end product. In particular, our Site Supervisor Joe Parker was fantastic to deal with and always went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied, to deal with any problems that arose, and to keep us updated on timing and what was happening with the project. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Planit Builders to others.
