We went with Planit Builders to develop our basement, and we were overall pleased with the entire process. From sales to final close out, Planit was great to work with. For us, communication was king ... I was very pleased with how responsive our manager and super were to questions that came up. Very pleased with the quality of the work and how professional the trades were throughout the build. They were not the cheapest option we were quoted for, but they definitely were the most professional. They follow all codes, bring in certified trades, add in services like cleaning and furnace tune ups, which were worth it in our opinion. Recommended.

Garage build was finished 1 month ahead of schedule. As with any major project their were bumps in the road here and there but what really made it a non issue was my Site Supervisor Dale. He really went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and informed about each phase of construction. When I had an issue he resolved it almost immediately. Planit in general are well organized and have an excellent process that walks you through from signing your contract to getting the project started. It was interesting watching my neighbors build a "budget" garage and watch my build happen in parallel and seeing the difference in quality and workmanship. Planit really does go above and beyond. A special thanks to Dale for making this painless and ensuring I was more than happy!

2017 Update Just around the 2 year mark of our basement we began to notice baseboards cracking away from the wall. Starting over a year ago, yes one year, we have tried contacting Planit to ask about warranty or how to remedy the situation. As we are now dealing with a mold issue in one of our storage closets I cannot confidently referral anyone. I'm hoping after my fourth call this month someone will answer or return my call and assist me to get this resolved, I'm not looking for a free repair I'm wanting a professional company to advise on how to remedy the difficiency of their workmanship. When you pay $45k+ for a service a simple call back is appreciated. John, our site coordinator, made the entire process a great one. He was friendly yet professional, always in communication with us about progress, delays and was always prompt to answer our questions and ensured we were happy with the work being done. We were pleased with the quality of construction, and the ease of the design process. I also appreciated the designer coming to our house to pick the design selections and offer her opinion on detail. After the build had been completed I wished I would have chosen to go with a carpet upgrade but that is nothing I fault PlaniT for and am happy enough with the standard carpet we picked.

We had a lot of delays with the project but in the end the basement turned out awesome. I dealt with Shawn and he made sure all my concerns and/or issues were met. Very nice guy and would recommend using him as your next project coordinator.

We had a slow start with Planit builders as the initial project manager was let go, but afterwards they had a person transition to the role and he did an excellent job after quickly learning the job. Dale Coates. He was a good communicator and had our best interests in mind. He worked with us to ensure that all our concerns were being dealt with.

We had our garage built with PLANiT Builders in the late fall. We didn't want to write a review at the time as we had some concerns with seasonal service. We have had everything completed now and couldn't be happier! They went above and beyond completing the seasonal work and even helped us have our door fixed when our neighbour slid into it this winter. Thank you PLANiT Builders! We will be recommending you to all our friends and will definitely be calling you when we are ready to develop our basement.

Ours was a huge project. Our poorly developed original basement had to be taken back to bare bones to redo everything. We hired Planit Builders for the project after a recommendation and were extremely happy with the final result. Joe and Dale were quick to respond to emails and took care of dealing with all the trades. Our project took a little longer then the estimation but we expected that to a degree having done other reno's in the past and having a 30 year old house. Our basement is absolutely beautiful!! Exactly what we were hoping for and more!

I chose PLANiT Builders to finish my basement because they were great to work with and efficient when they built my garage in 2009. I was not disappointed in the least with Joe and Dale. They were a pleasure to work with. They maintained communication every step of the way and answered any and all questions in a timely manner. They kept my project on schedule, and in the end they actually completed ahead of schedule. The made sure every detail was taken care of, the existing finished areas of my home were protected and left my home clean when all was said and done. Joe is a fantastic site coordinator and I have no doubt Dale will be equally fantastic to work with when he takes on a solo portfolio of his own having been trained by Joe. I had no hesitation recommending PLANiT after my experience in 2009, Now, I strongly encourage anyone to choose PLANiT for any of your home renovation needs! Planit Builders developed my basement. Every step of the the process was easy. Everybody was good natured, friendly, professional and attentive to details. Everything promised was received. The project went very smoothly, and was completed before the estimated completion date. Every trade they had to do the work was all professional and curitous. The quality of the work is excellent. None of my own trades friends had anything bad to say about the work. The site supervisors Joe and John ALWAYS went the extra mile. They know the business well and have excellent 'people' skills. I just can't say anything bad about my experience with Planit Builders. They will be the only people I call if I ever need this type of services again. Thank you Joe and John

Hey, Just wanted to let people know that they are outstanding! We moved to Calgary from Montreal just before the Reno’s began in our new house. I work from home here in Calgary (also a new venture) and everything was done with respect and helpfulness ensuring that my wife (also working at home most days) and I were able to complete our work without any trouble. This was a very good experience right from the start of the project, from site set up, to building changes, billing inquiries and quick responses to requests we had answering our many questions about the job and the whole process.The whole team made the project easy, whether at our basement site or the Head office.
