Very profession company to deal with - from start to finish!! We have dealt with other renovation companies (with our rental properties) in the past and there always seemed to be some problem. Workers not showing up, they want more money because they didn't quote properly in the first place ect. With Planit Builders we didn't have any issues.

Basement Reno using PlanIt, PM John. Really love our new space. Well planned and finished. Project took slightly longer than originally planned but we were in no hurry and are very pleased with the end result.

in may of 2014 I hired Planit builders to build a garage, don was a great "salesperson" everything went smooth, and we agreed to start our project with an estimated completion date of sept 15th. I have had 2 site supervisors, as well as the construction manager Steve involved, and nothing has went as planned. concrete STILL isnt poured fully, they had to come back several times, trades show up when they want to. it is now FEBRUARY 21st 2015, this project is still not complete, and the entire project has been a gong show, concrete is cracked, doors wouldn't close,trades never show up. I have dealt with every layer of management in regards to issues and timeline, my garage will have a birthday before I am able to park in it. and as much as everyone says "this isnt right we need to fix it" nothing moves at a pace faster then "I don't care". I have been told that every customer is pissed off and basically to suck it up.I have tried to work with this company, but have had no luck. this project is 42000$ of junk on my yard. please save yourself the time, headache and money, and hire a real company or do it yourself. ... We recently worked with John Papageoriou on our basement and he and the team did an amazing job. we are extremely happy with our basement and are excited to put it to use. Thank you Planit builders!

BEWARE! Planit Builders promises transparent, organized, clean builds and DOES NOT deliver. Our garage build is now 4 months overdue, our property is a mess and no one can be bothered to answer our questions. Basically all of the things we were assured were not going to happen - have happened. Completely false advertising. If I could afford to sue I would. Do your self a favour and hand pick your own trades and babysit them personally; because you will spend your time chasing after Planit Builders staff only to have them find you less than qualified trades to do a crappy job and leave a mess. To date every trade that has done work on our garage has had to come back and fix their work. WE ARE REGRETTABLY UNSATISFIED. I urge you to do your research, whatever amount Planit Builders offers to save you is worth paying someone else to have a job done correctly the first time.

Thank you very much everybody at Planit Builders! We had such a great Christmas with our family. Having you finish our basement gave us all the added room we needed to have the "Entire" family over! We love our flooring and how warm everything feels.

Joe Parker was great to work with! Very professional. Always took the time to relay information to us about the project. Our project was delayed by over two months. Problems with trade. Painters and a missed vent for our dryer. The construction part was fine the only issues we had were with the administration side of things. They did try to appease the issues and did go over and above on our requests. The major issue was lack of communication on financing. Everything worked out in the end.

We recently worked with Joe Parker from Planit Builders in successfully completing our basement. We are very satisfied with the end result. Joe continually went above and beyond to ensure that our needs and wishes were met. In our opinion, site coordinators are responsible for too many projects at once. We would recommend Planit Builders.

Garage was supposed to be done Sep 15th. It is Nov 19th and only a small amount of work has been done, and it has been done incorrectly. I set up a meeting with the site coordinator to discuss, and took time off work to make the meeting, but was blown off without a call. I feel mislead by the good reviews on this website. Avoid this company.

I contracted Planit Builder to finish my garage over the summer of 2014. The initial contact and contact with Don was fabulous. He was very helpful and easy to deal with. The job went ahead with some minor delays and a bit more mess in my yard than I'd anticipated but it was a work site. The garage was completed, with just a minor adjustment needed prior to the job being signed off on as completed to my satisfaction and full payment forwarded to Planit Builders. Approx 1 month later I received notice in the mail from Alberta Land Titles that a lien had been placed on my property by the concrete sub trade. I contacted the lawyer for the sub who advised me they had not been paid due to a dispute between the sub and Planit Builders. I contacted Planit builders to discuss the lien. Initially they advised me that they'd had an issue with the quality of work of the tile setter and were working to find a resolution. When I advised them it was a garage, they stated they would have to check into it. They contacted me later and informed me there had been some issue with the work quality and my job had inadvertently gotten mixed up in the dispute as they were aware there were no problems with my concrete. They stated the bill would be paid that day and the lien off in two weeks. I contacted them at the end of two weeks as the lien was still not lifted. They apologized and stated it would be dealt with within the week. Again, a week later, the lien was still there. I contacted them again and they stated it would be deal with by the end of the business week. Again, it is still there. It has now been since Sept 26 and there is no progress. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB and have been in contact with a lawyer to deal with the matter. They have had 6 weeks to deal with this matter and all I have gotten is promises that it will be dealt with soon. I am renegotiating my mortgage and cannot move forward with this on the title. If you do use this company, hold 10 - 15% back for 45 days as per the builders act to save yourself from this issue. I cannot express the stress of knowing a lien has been placed on my property due to nothing of my doing and not being able to get a resolution on this. I've been advised that this will supersede any mortgage or other lender claims and therefore the mortgage holder can either recall my mortgage, demand the cash in full be placed in trust with the courts until the dispute is settled or at minimum refuse to grant me a new mortgage until this is resolved.
