    Main Drain

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you for the fantastic customer service you provided recently in repairing the drain system at my home. From your friendly dispatch team of Murphy and Latina, to your in-house expert Dave, in-field Team Lead Aurelio, and the very capable and polite members of your front-line service team, the service Bosco has provided has been exceptional. All of your staff are courteous, knowledgeable and very technically competent. They also take great care when entering and working in a customer’s home. It is clear from my dealings with your very professional Operations Supervisor, Louis, that customer satisfaction is your first priority. I will certainly use your services in future and will happily recommend Bosco to others when the opportunity arises. Thank you again

    Furnace

We are very pleased with the service which we received from Bosco Home Services. Our furnace broke down on the Family day holiday and we called Bosco Home Services at 9:30pm, the technician arrived within an hour and had us fixed up quickly. Joe the technician was very thorough and walked us through the process. The service was very professional and quick. We are extremely happy with the service provided. We will be recommending Bosco Home Services Platinum Service to all of our friends. This comprehensive "package" is, in our opinion, an insurance policy for our home - a service no homeowner with an older home should be without. Don't forget to ask about the Platinum Package so that you can have a same peace of mind that we now have!

    Furnace Servicing

Joseph, the serviceman for Bosco was incredibly professional and thorough in his dealings. He clearly explained all he was doing and answered all my questions fully. He did a complete servicing of the furnace and since it was 19 years old checked the reliability and safety of the furnace. For instance he did a soap and water test on the inside heat exchanger to see if there were any cracks etc where carbon could be escaping but there wasn't. The furnace passed. He acknowledged the belt was okay and igniter was good. He cleaned up the flame sensor as this was not in good shape but now is! I was impressed with all he did and his recommendations on future steps. I would work with this company again for sure!

My furnace started making noise on the coldest day of the year and then just quit on me. I called Bosco Home Services and once they heard I was without heat, I was put on a priority list. I found them to be honest, professional and very helpful. I would recommend their services to anyone. Thanks Jay and Murphy.

    Service Technician

My furnace broke down on one the coldest nights this past week. A friend referred me to Bosco Home Services. I called them that night and they were so efficient to send me a service technician the morning after. They were very professional and efficient. The service man fixed the problem with my furnace and the price was reasonable as well. Great service from Bosco!!!

    Furnace Tune up

We just had the exact same thing happen! Our furnace was working perfectly well beside our CO2 detector prior to the arrival of the Bosco technician - Joe. We asked him to come and clean our furnace. After several minutes he told me that the furnace was leaking CO2, red-tagged it and left my two children and I in the cold for the night. I asked for readings and he said that according to company policy they shut down any furnace when they detect leakage, doesn't matter the amount. I didn't see the heat exchanger and I didnt see the leakage. I am going to call them tomorrow, mention this website and call the TSSA and the Better Business Bureau. I suggest others do the same. These people deserve a small claims court case against them before they go out business.

    Bosco BIG SCAM

This is incredible. The same thing happened to us. We moved in this house in 2011 and we had a 9-year old furnace. We decided to call Bosco and do a check up. The technician apparently found cracks in the heat exchanger which is dangerous for our health due to the carbon monoxide that is released. He redtagged the furnace and shut it off leaving us and our 7-month old son in the cold. I asked for a carbon monoxide reading, or another test to prove that this was necessary but he said that the visual check was enough. Of course, there was no way for me to see the cracks but I had to believe this guy! Of course, they wanted to sell a new furnace but we went to somebody else and did it. They couldn't see any cracks in the heat exchanger and neither could the other two technicians we paid to do that. We called the manager at Bosco and he refused to deal with this, not being an "urgent matter". He agreed to come and check but didn't show up. Therefore, we wrote to the president of the company and eventually he sent two technicians to show us the cracks. Apparently, we are blind, because they were showing us cracks where we couldn't see anything, not even a scratch... The license in his pocket gave him the right to say that something is there where there is obviously nothing! DON'T GO TO THIS COMPANY EVER! IT'S JUST A SCAM.

    Bosco Home Services

I had the same experience -- and technician -- as Peter in Etobicoke. I signed up for the NewsTalk 1010 special in the fall -- furnace servicing for $11.10. The service was scheduled for February, due to delays caused by some work we were doing in the house. Not long after arriving, Joe was telling us that we needed a new heat exchanger, and that for the price of changing that part, we might as well get a new furnace. We, thankfully, decided we wanted a 2nd opinion. However, Joe red-tagged our furnace, and left us in the cold. Two technicians later, the consensus was that they couldn't see a reason to red-tag the furnace, but they wouldn't put their own licenses on the line to remove the red tag without removing the heat exchanger and doing a full test -- at a cost of $250. We had no choice. Of course, the test showed that there's absolutely nothing wrong with our heat exhcnager, so the red tag can come off. Thus, our $11 service ended up costing us a whole lot more. UPDATE: following the posting of this review, I contacted Bosco to ask them to make this situation right. The lady who took the call was very professional and sympathetic; she took the details and said she'd have the HVAC manager, Roy, call me back. She gave me a reasonable timeline, and I actually received the return call earlier than expected. When I spoke with Roy, he immediately offered to make the situation right, and has sent us a cheque for the cost of the test we had to pay for in order to have the red tag removed. While I obviously am quite unhappy that we were put in this situation in the first place, in the end, I am very satisfied with how the company responded once notified about it.

    Furnace "Tune-Up" scam

I had an old furnace that worked fine but my wife was pressuring me to get it "tuned up" and cleaned. I was hoping to get another winter or two out of it. Having heard Bosco's commercials I decided to give them a try. The technician showed up and I could tell by his attitude and comments about the furnace that this was not going to go well. He wouldn't tell me anything as he took it apart other than "it's really old", which is the reason I called him in the first place. He worked for about an hour but refused to fill me in on what he was doing as he worked through it. Finally, he came out of the furnace room and told me he would not be putting it back together. He "red tagged" it because he said the heat exchanger was leaking CO2. I asked him to show me but said he could tell by the water leaking from the test he did. I asked him for options for fixing it but said not to worry he already had someone coming over to sell me a new furnace. I kicked him out of my house and called the dispatch and told them not to send their furnace sales guy. The sales guy called me and was very angry that he wouldn't be getting the sale. Based on comments I saw on here, I called another company and had an awesome experience. I made a point of having the new techs tear apart the old furnace so we could see the heat exchanger and there was nothing wrong. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE SCAMMERS AT BOSCO.
