In the autumn of 2011, I discovered a leak in a bedroom ceiling above a tall wardrobe. I called The Cutting Edge Roofing based on reviews in HomeStars. I was told that I would receive a call back to arrange a time for someone to attend and provide an estimate. I waited over a week and did not receive a call. I was very concerned about the ceiling damage spreading, so I emailed and advised that I was unhappy that they had not been in contact and that I wanted to post something on HomeStars to advise others that Cutting Edge does not respond in a timely manner for roof leak repairs. They promptly called and advised that they had been very busy and arranged a time for someone to come out. Robert attended, did an inspection and advised that the company that had done the roof had angled some shingles incorrectly, causing the water to be trapped rather than run off. He seemed very nice and knowledgeable and provided me with brochures on new roof options, so that when the time came to replace that roof, that I would keep Cutting Edge in mind. We agreed on a time for the repair and that I did not need to be in attendance. I received a bill for $225 + tax. I planned to have the ceiling repaired by a contractor that was going to reno a different room in the house at a later date, so I just left the pan atop the wardrobe. The ceiling was repaired after the reno, in the spring of this year. In late July, I noticed that the ceiling paint was bulging in the same spot, so I replaced the pan, poked a hole in the ceiling and water poured out. I called Cutting Edge again, advised my name, that they had done a repair in November 2011 and that the roof was leaking in the same spot. The receptionist stated that repairs are only guaranteed for 60 days. I was a little taken aback by this response because I had only prefaced the conversation with the information so that she would know that my info was already on file; not to imply otherwise. She advised that it would likely take a week before anyone would return my call as they were very busy. It's now over a month and I have not had a call back. I paid $254 for the roof repair and over $100 for a ceiling repair and I am right back where I started. Now, I don't even know if the roof was ever repaired, as I wasn't climbing up to touch the ceiling or check the pan for water at regular intervals. It is apparent that Cutting Edge does not have the courtesy to return calls, stand behind their work(?) nor do they value their customers. I gave them two chances and they ignored me each time. I feel ripped-off and annoyed that they conduct business in this manner. Rest assured, I won't be calling when my roof needs replacing. Don't bother searching around, just call Cutting Edge. Robert and team are top notch. I've dealt with many different types of crews for different jobs, but he and his team are superior and you can't be disappointed. They pride themselves on quality, workmanship, attitude, but above all they believe in the strength of their reputation and referrals over making quick dollars. I went on the roof and watched them several times to make sure they weren't cutting corners, but they instead showed me the little things they were doing like the way they were cutting the shingles, getting under siding, new flashing, sealing trough leaves, etc. They installed more vents, a ridge vent, sealed up the leaky troughs and did a great job on cleaning up at no extra cost. Excellent value and will recommend to all friends and family. Only downside: they are busy and may take some time to get to your roof, but it's worth wait for the peace of mind. Besides being busy means they are doing something right and not sacrificing on quality just to do more jobs. I wish I could rate them 11 out of 10.

Having undertaken the renovation of my new home and gotten way more surprises than I bargained for, I finally had the opportunity to see into a previously inaccessible attic when the ceilings came down on the upstairs level. I noticed some nails protruding from the roof and holes that appeared to be patched with what I thought were shingles (the patching was black and had a slight sheen). Before I went any further with the reno, I wanted to have someone check out my roof -- after all, why put in all this work only to suffer water damage? Given the fact I thought I didn't have plywood in these "shingled areas," Robert came out the same day and inspected the the attic area. He told me that whoever did the roof previously did a really poor job of patching the holes, but it was actually a thin metal cover I was seeing underneath the shingles, not the shingles themselves. Robert also went up on my roof to inspect it and took some photos to show me. Apparently, my roof has a couple of good years still left in it, but when it's time to redo it, I won't be calling anyone else except The Cutting Edge Roofing. Robert is pleasant, honest and extremely thorough. Robert -- Thanks for putting my mind at ease as I finish up my renovation!

Robert and his crew completely reroofed my townhouse in one day and installed a replacement skylight to boot. Their courtesy, workmanship, and cleanup were impressive. I think Cutting Edge is exactly what it says -- the cutting edge in service and quality. You may get lower estimates, but not the expertise, first-rate materials, and positive energy that this company brings to the job.

We just had our roof done by The Cutting Edge Roofing Company and I can't speak highly enough about the quality of workmanship, service and expertise. Simply put, these guys are the best in the business and i highly recommend them to anyone requiring any work to their roof. Rob and his team were outstanding, taking care of every detail and then some. Nothing was left undone and I am completely satisfied with the outstanding job they did. Rob even came by this evening to inspect and without hesitation or any charge, did some work on my chimney saving me hundreds of dollars. The crew was great, friendly and total pros. If you want work done on your roof there is only one place. This one! Thank you Cutting Edge!!!

Robert Landry's A-Team (Jimmy, Billy, Hank, John) came on time, worked right through and did a superb job! They were very skilled, courteous and answered all my questions (some not even related to the roof). They even got rid of dead squirrels from my attic and had to contend with a bunch of yellow jacket wasps. The price wasn’t the cheapest but was well worth it. Robert’s extensive experience, knowledge, professionalism and down to earth attitude were very much appreciated and I would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone and everyone.

Work was professionally done, great crew. Owner Robert Landry works and was on site, everything was cleaned up afterwards. I opted to pay extra for full coverage of ice & water under shingles. They tested underlying plywood to determine if any needed replacement for rot. Excellent, honest service. Company is more concerned about reputation and gaining referrals than short term profit. If you have problems, they stand behind their work; even if it means they make less on a job. I would highly recommend them.

Robert actually came onsite and supervised the job itself. It was a pleasure working with him and his crew. The did a really good job, were courteous and honesly I felt at time I am dealing with Mr. Homes :) Anyway, unfortunately Robert actually damaged my ceiling while installing the roofing due to the bad shape of the wood in the attic. That being said, he came at least 10 times to repair the whole and make sure that the fix is as close as possible to the original. He was very friendly and very flexible in doing business with him. The whole job took a whole day and at the end they made sure they clean up all the mess. It's been almost 1 year and I don't see any changes in his install, he really knows what he is doing. Don't hesitate to get the guys, but as always ... make your homework!!!

The crew from Cutting Edge Roofing did a great job. They were a referral from another service provider I had used in the past. Robert promptly replied to my inquiry, conducted an estimate within 48 hours and then got the job done in a single day. Cutting Edge did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to others.
