    Piano appraisal, moving and tuning

James was very professional and gave a good price for quality service for piano appraisal, piano moving, and tuning. The only reason that I didn't give a perfect score is that he was late for two visits. However, everything else was done perfectly!

    Piano move and tune

I shopped around a bit for movers for a 44" upright piano. James offered the best price, and his website showed many positive reviews, so I gave him a try. He responded to my emails quickly, and arrived when he said he would. He and his crew were very meticulous about the move, very careful, and there were no bumps, dings, or scratches on the walls or the piano. Before moving the piano, it had several issues (keys sticking etc), and James was able to fix those issues as well for a reasonable fee. I'm very pleased with the service I got from James and would not hesitate to use his services again.

    Baby grand piano

James was quick to respond with good pricing, I found him on Kijiji and then looked him up here. Out of about 6 quotes he had the best price and (by far) the best rating on Homestars. Communication was good and easy We set a time and he was there within 10 minutes of our agreed time (the house was a little difficult to find) The move was quick and painless and very professional. I would use him again and recommend his services.

52" Upright Piano move from Markham to Richmond Hill

I found James through HomeStar Reviews. He was extremely quick with his responses. I emailed him after 8pm on a Saturday evening, I did not expect a reply that night, but we confirmed a time for a Monday move by Sunday morning. He came with his team of 2 other guys. They were very meticulous with great attention to detail. Any furniture they had to move out of the way were replaced. They did not rush the job, took their time to make sure piano was secured. The job was completed within the 1.5 hours he quoted. At some points I wasn't sure they were strong enough to handle the piano, but at the end everything went well. James has a good team working with him. No complaints, I would use James again if I have to move my piano again and would definitely recommend him to a friend.

    Piano delivery

I had a piano I had purchased from a private party delivered to my house. James was very open about the costs and what was involved. Delivery was quick and easy, and his team even gave suggestions about the best place to put the piano in my apartment for safety away from heat sources. They were very friendly and professional and quick. Pianoinside.com also offer a discount on tuning if you have them move it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they charge an extra $10 for each step above 5 they have move it at both pick up and delivery. In my case there were 7 very small steps at the pick up area since it was sloping grass but only 3 steps at delivery but I was still charged for the 2 extra steps. But even with that charge they were cheaper and more professional than other movers I had called. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

    Piano moving and repair

James and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They moved an upright piano from an apartment to my house effortlessly. They even arrived on time, and when it was discovered that a leg on my piano was broken (it had been that way for some time, before the movers arrived), James stepped in and performed a repair on the spot - no questions asked. I would not hesitate to use them again, and I will be recommending them to any friends who may be moving a piano. I'm also planning to ask James back to do some tuning.

    moving an upright

moved an upright from Markham to North York, approx 15km. The original cost was $200 but the piano could not fit into the room because the hallway was a little too narrow for the piano to turn, James charged me an extra $50 to tilt the piano up (then back down to put in place). I have hardwood floor and the homemade cart they used did not cause any issue. Overall I am pleased, James is professional, responsive with phone calls and questions, very on time, came with two other guys, was careful with the piano, has legitmate insurance (with no extra charges), experienced. We had a small incident, the leg of the piano chair was hit against the door frame (after all the tough work was done with no incidents), the door frame had no problem but white paint was on the piano chair leg. James was able to remove the paint with some chemical without any issue. only one consideration for James is to consider use some disposible shoe covers, hence the one point deduction.

    Moving of Apartment Piano

James and his two helpers moved an apartment piano from my sister who lives in New Market to Bowmanville. His crew was very careful with moving the piano. He also tuned the piano for us. He did a good job and I would recommend him to others.
