The scope of our project was extensive, requiring us to move out for 6 months (March 2018 - Sept 2018). We live in east end Toronto, (Coxwell/Danforth area), our home is semi-detached and approx 80 years old. Work completed: basement lowering 3 story extension out the back, main and second floor remodeling. Alex was essential the project, giving us architectural designs to consider and finalize. He gave us options (moving the furnace room to the far end of the property) that helped us maximize space in the new living area in the basement. He brought a clear vision to what we had been thinking. Alex stewarded us through the committee of adjustments (in partnership with renovation consultant) and was a liaison with the city when we ran into a complication (an error by the city that delayed approval of our permits). The process is pretty Byzantine so were extremely grateful for his expertise. Communication wise, it was pretty good. On occasion, we had difficulty understanding him (he has an accent) but he always understood us and our desires. In the end, the house looks amazing and Alex was a core part of the team that made it happen. Thank you!

Alex and Cadaxx Design have provided reliable, timely and cost effective permit applications and technical support for my clients at House Calls Renovation Advisors. Although we have only done two projects together this year so far, I expect Alex to be invited to participate in many more in the future. I plan to update this review toward the end of 2019.

Alex and his team did a great job of doing drawings of existing apartments in a multi unit home including redesigning the layout of one apartment for city approval. He did multiple design options and his work ultimately resulted in a city stamp of approval and a building permit.

Alex was very thorough and detailed when designing the plans for a detached laneway garage. He handled all the drawings and permit application. He was especially helpful when we had to talk with the city planners to revise our square footage to stay in line with the bylaws for garage square footage and green space. I will definitely be using his services in the future.

Alex was very patient throughout the process as we had several iterations of our project over many months. He always made himself available for us and brought a creative touch to our drawings with 3D renderings.

Cadaxx provided as is drawings, permit drawings, and submitted all necessary paperwork to the city of Toronto in order to obtain permits for the project. All drawings have been approved and permits received in a timely fashion. Always a pleasure working with the entire Cadaxx team, their hard work and attention to detail is brilliant!

Cadaxx Design were responsible for completing drawings for our entire home. We purchased a 2-storey house and completely gutted every floor to the studs. We needed drawings for everything for this project! The team was especially helpful with advice on a well planned design and layout. They took care of all the permit applications and always gave us advance notice of things coming up. Their payment options are easily processed online, this was super helpful for a year long project. There was always a timely response from Cadaxx, as we had several questions for the project.

Alex really helps visualize your ideas and works with you to finalize a design. He also really knows how to navigate the process at the city so we knew what to expect along the way. Super responsive, great listener and interpreter of your dreams. He helped us design something functional for our busy family and we are very pleased with how it’s turned out!
