Mice - Joe is the best

Joe was exceptional. He did a thorough examination of our property to determine any possible entries locations from mice. He wasn't trying to just deal with the current rodent problem, he wanted to prevent it from happening again, which is so key and often what other companies neglect to do. He had all the tools necessary and went way beyond our expectations, which included crawling under our deck and doing all types of sealing around the doors. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained to us how to detect rodents (signs of nests, where to look for entry points, where they were crossing in ceiling) and how we could take our own precautions because he genuinely doesn't want mice to return What I love is that he doesn't solely rely on poison to solve the problem. He tackles it from every angle. Overall, Joe went above and beyond. More importantly, he genuinely cares about solving our rodent problem and is willing to spend as long as it takes to get the job done.

This typical Toronto home posed many challenges. Such a small house yet it still took me hours and hours to source out the entry area. Baiting alone could never solve the problem and access issues (semi-detached home) made the situation even more interesting. The job was a process and I am happy with the outcome.Joe

    Pest Control

We had a tricky problem with WASPS over our front door, behind the brick wall. Once we contacted Joe, he responded the same day, described in detail what he would do, gave us a price, and came the next day, as arranged. Under the circumstances, it was, nevertheless, a pleasure to work with him. His knowledge of wildlife and its behaviour is extensive. Problem was solved as per his script. We would recommend Joe anytime. Thank you.

    Wasp removal

Found Snap Pest Control on Homestars. Called and spoke with Joe at 6pm, and he came the next day exactly as promised. Explained the best way to remove the wasps, and took the extra time to suck them out and then powder the opening. Also offered to come back if the wasps returned. Very friendly, and very helpful. Would hire and recommend him.

Thanks for your review. The key here is that I vacuum the wasps out so that the risk of them entering a home are lessened dramatically. This method takes longer however I can sleep a night knowing that 95% percent of them have be removed offsite. Joe

    Carpenter Ant Problem Solved

Joe Bruno and Snap Pest Control have proven they are the best pest control company. He has truly set the benchmark for superior customer service and resolving my problem with carpenter ants. Prior to calling Snap Control, I had two other pest control companies come to my home. They just sprayed the home perimeter and were done in 10 minutes. Joe took the time to investigate and ask relevant questions to find the source of the carpenter ants. As a result the problem has been resolved. I am thrilled that there really is a dedicated professional who listens to the customer and takes the time required to deal with the issue. Joe's relentless attention to solving the problem clearly demonstrates his concern for the customer. You absolutely must call Snap Pest Control for your pest issues.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the review. Upon arriving at the home I noted that there were many dead carpenter ants right at the front door. Knowing that two previous companies had sprayed the homes exterior it was peculiar to see so many dead bodies concentrated in one area. The issue was that I was staring at a concrete foyer and a nest was sure to be nearby. In my termite operations I have often found that poured concrete wooden forms are usually left in place by builders. Plywood as is most often found in the forms themselves is readily consumed by termites. A quick look directly under the front porch ( cold cellar ) verified to me that carpenter ants were nesting in the plywood form. An experiment was conducted whereby water was poured down the wall by my client while I was downstairs and sure enough liquid was seen spiraling downward into the cold cellar. As the two previous companies sprayed copious amounts of chemicals randomly around the homes exterior some insecticide did seep down into the plywood and managed to kill a few ants which died near the front door. The issue however was not resolved because the ants which were unaffected were numerous and the access to the cold room was still readily available. With 1 tube of silicone the 4 foot span of the upper wall was rendered water and ant proof. The escape routes were dusted and the ant issue is now resolved. Finding the source of the problem and sealing it for good has put a stop to what would have been a lingering carpenter ant issue at my clients home. As an exterminator the mistakes which were made here are the result of improper inspections and an inability to fully grasp the the consequences of the spray applications themselves. Had the exterminator simply waited and understood the consequences of his or her spraying activities they may have then been able to discover the nest location with respect to the emerging ants. The issue is that by the time the spray is over they are rushing to the next job and not seeing the results of their actions. Having to return however, over and over to respray the home results in added frustration and spending even more time to resolve the issue. Finally, the possibility that the ants now will spread and explore even more locations in a home is more likely.Joe

    Mouse problem solved

Joe is incredibly thorough, punctual, courteous and MOST importantly he got rid of the mice in our 100-year-old house. He carefully inspected the parameter of the house and covered any possible entry. He provided convenient repeat visits to re-bait the stations free of charge. Last year we had a bad experience with another company. And then we found SNAP. We are impressed with Joe's work and are grateful for it.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your kind review. I enjoyed the challenge of locating the root cause of this issue. Doing the job correctly involves a thorough inspection of a home and anything less only prolongs an issue and or creates a lingering mouse problem. Mice by the way are now making their way back into homes as we speak.Just this week there has been an increase in mice calls. As the days grow shorter(Early August) mice will create or find openings to a home. Rodents are now in storing mode and are actively engaged in stockpiling for the winter. Mice know that the cold will come and instinctively are preparing themselves.Joe
