The city was crippled with a major snow storm, our furnace had not worked in two days. We feared the scheduled installation of our new furnace would be postponed; however, the team from Boonstra showed up on time and ready to work undaunted by the weather.
Before they even started, they placed runners and stair covers from the front door right through to the furnace room. They even wore shoe covers in the house. Despite the level of snow and slush outside, they did their very best to keep the inside of the house clean.
In far less time than we had anticipated, the old furnace, AC unit and hot water tank were removed, and the work area was thoroughly cleaned before they began the install of the new units.
With the abundance of snow that had fallen the previous evening, the men had a more difficult time reaching the AC unit outside on one side of the house, and the venting on the other side; but they did it, and acted as if the high snow and bad weather was something they had to deal with every day.
I watched them working and saw them approach every task with the highest degree of professionalism. They replaced all of the old equipment, including all the AC lines and the vent piping. Each step in the process was done on purpose and with an obvious greater plan in mind. They knew exactly what to do and when to do it.
By the time the job was finished early that afternoon, the work site was completely cleaned. All the connections, piping, venting, duct work and wiring were all done neatly and professionally, and I have no doubt they are all well above code requirements.
Before leaving, they took us through every feature of the new furnace and ensured we understood how to operate and care for our new equipment. They even set the thermostat to our desired level and walked us through how to program it when we were ready.
All in all they did an awesome job and we highly recommend them.
