    Furnace cleaning, inspection, repair

They were very prompt, efficient, courteous. They did the job quickly and effectively. Although my furnace is quite old and not that efficient, they were very honest and told me it would still last a long time. They didn not pressure me to purchase an new one. Highly recommended

Infraction warning on Water Heater and possible gas leak

Jason and Chris came in and did a thorough job to make sure the renovations around our hot water heater met code and also helped track down an intermittent gas smell from the furnace. These guys were polite, friendly and competent. They located a tiny leak and fixed it hassle-free. They did a thorough job on the entire furnace rather than just calling it quits on the first thing they found that might have accounted for the gas smell.

    Kitchen Gas Line Installation

I am a contractor who recently called in Jason and Chris to install a new gas line for a gas range and oven in a very old home in downtown Toronto. They answered every phone call the first time, showed up on time, were incredibly efficient, and did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. All homeowners and contractors should make these guys their first call when it comes to Heating and Air Conditioning and Gas Lines.

    Second opinion, replace air conditioner

My husband and I were preparing to put our house up For Sale. During the Pre-Inspection the Inspector noticed water all over the basement floor and in our Furnace!! Yikes, we didn't want that in the report. The inspector said we could have blown the furnace up and he disabled it and told us to call for service. I called Buttons as they had been highly recommended to me. The serviceman who came out said we needed a hole new Air Conditioner and Furnace too!! The price he quoted us was around $7300. We thought we had to replace them as we wanted to sell our house. Our Real Estate Agent said we would never re-coupe the money and was there not a less expensive quick fix?? I felt a little uneasy about the whole thing and was skeptical about the serviceman from Buttons coming to such a quick conclusion. We knew the Air Conditioner was really old but the furnace was only 2002 which is not that old! I decided to call True Home Comfort for a second opinion. I got their # from a friend who was very impressed with them. Chris and Jason were able to fit us in the very next morning and came down to take a look at our Air Conditioner and Furnace. They established that the man from Buttons had rushed to judgement about the furnace and hadn't even turned the heat on to see if it was working! While they said they couldn't give us any guarantee about the life of the furnace, they said it was fine and in working order at the time of inspection. To make a long story short, they replaced the Air Conditioner (which was the cause of all the water in the first place) on time when they said they would, at the price they quoted! Thank You Chris and Jason for being honest, reliable and saving us about $4300. dollars!!! We have sold our house and move into our new home in November. The new air conditioner is working great and so is the old furnace!!!

    Capping Gas Line

Jason returned my call the very same day which was greatly appreciated. He managed to fit me in the next day and capped a gas line in the kitchen as we are preping for a reno. He was quick and considerate. While here, he also gave me a quote for A/C for the house. We had quotes done last year which ranged from the impossibly priced to almost impossible installation for our 100 year old house. He was straightforward about how it could easily be done, how realistic the airflow would be to the top floor, and how much it would cost. The quote was very well priced, I'm very happy I called them and recommend them to anyone who can use their services.

    Central AC Installed

We've gone the last 4 years without AC in our home. Summer of 2010 was unbearably hot, so when I found out I was pregnant in Jan 2011, we decided this year we were finally going to get an AC installed. We were on a tight budget and leery of contractors. That's why I was so happy I found True Home Comfort on HomeStars. I spoke with Chris in Feb and he came out right away for a quote. He explained everything to us and gave us his opinions on which AC unit would be best. He gave us 3 options in different price ranges and didn't try to sell one unit over the other. Some months went by, I had some questions and Chris was always quick to respond. We got a couple of other quotes and Chris' came in the lowest. Eventually my husband and I made up our minds on the unit and install date and Chris accommodated our schedules and got in within 2 weeks. Yesterday our original thermostat started acting funny and I thought it might be an issue with the AC. I emailed Chris, he responded within 5 minutes and was over at our house within the hour! Turns out the thermostat was working, just old and fussy. You can't beat True Home Comfort's price and customer service.

    BBQ Gas line

Best service I have ever had. Chris and Jason are punctual, responsible, professional, and attentive. They take time to explain procedures and options to me. The quotation is very reasonable (I got 2 different ones). I am very satisfied with job quality and services from consulting, communication to execution. They even cleaned the site perfectly. Very pleasant to work with them. Highly recommended.

Created More Heat Air Flow through our Vents

Chris and Jason came in and did the job needed to be done and did it in a timely manner for a great price- now our basement is warmer and heat is distributed more evenly by creating the additional holes in vents to allow more air to come thru, thanks!! Would recommend and use their service again!

    Furnace Air Humidifier Installation

Jason was very patient and professional with us during this whole process. Our house was experiencing very dry static air, dry skin and nose bleeding at times since the air was so dry. After a few email exchanges with Jason, we negotiated the cost and schedule a date/time for the humidifier installation and the rest was easy and very smooth sailing. During the installation he was explaining every step he was doing and answering any questions we may have with no problems. He noticed that the by-pass duct pipe that connects the humidifier to the furnace plenum was to short and would not do a good job. Instead of continuing and pushing through for doing a quick patch job, he told us that he would need to put this installation on hold for the weekend until Monday morning so he could get the proper by-pass pipe length in place. As promised, he called back Monday morning and completed the work quickly. For not completing the work (...and feeling bad about it) he brought us an extra filter (..or evaporator pad) at no extra cost. What a nice gesture. Now that the humidifier has been running for a few days, we notice a big positive change immediately in the air moisture throughout the house. We have been measuring the relative humidity in various rooms on different levels and it’s very constant and comfortable. The picture below shows how well the job was completed. You can see the unit mounting work, the draining pipe at the bottom, the by-pass pipe to the plenum on your right and the water tap to the left above the hot water tank. Highly recommended, honest and he tells it like it is.
