    7 windows

    Great start, extremely poor customer service for 7 months and finally a great couple of guys to very efficiently install some very nice windows. If you don't mind waiting forever for the end result, without any compensation or concern for the customer the windows are lovely. Wasn't even told about the government rebate upon placing order or throughout until installation day, when we had to go back through our credit forms due to their tardiness and look for photos to prove they qualify. Again, very nice windows and efficient crew

    Kitchen Renovation

    I would never recommend this company to anyone! We have been decieved repeatedly by everyone we have dealt with at Northern Comfort from the salesman right on up to the sales manager. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing over there. Ordered a window and 3 doors on November 7, 2017 and as of February 8, 2018 we still haven’t received the window which we were told we would have before Christmas. The doors are sub standard at best with several defects. Because of Northern Comfort’s continued deception, the progress of our addition has been at a standstill! I am a a general contractor in Barrie and will never recommend Northern Comfort to any of my clients...if anything, I will strongly recommend against using this company!! Yours Truly, Ruy M.     Window installation

    John and Brian were great, they did an awesome job, they showed up on time both days they left the house clean after they were done. I highly recommend this company.

    Installation of two patio doors and two side doors

    We are happy that Northern Comfort had arranged Shane and Larry to work on our project. Both of them are professional, skilled, responsible, polite and patient. We hope that they will be back to work for our house in the future. Another appreciation is for the Installation Coordinator, Kristen. She responded to my e-mail promptly. Thank you.     Install sliding door to deck and powder room window.

    Scott and Daryl did an excellent job. They were professional and courteous. They took precautions to limit the work mess and cleaned everything up when they completed the installations.

    installation of 13 windows

    Had the pleasure of having Shane and Larry in our home for 2 days installing our windows; both were efficient, courteous and professional. We cannot say enough good things about the service they provided. Shane would let us know if there were any issues and question us regarding our preferences if there were choices to be made. The clean up was meticulous both days - it was an absolute pleasure having both Shane and Larry in our home and we would highly recommend you having them in yours!

    Front door and sliding door replacment

    I'd stay clear of this company! The first week of August I had set up an appointment with this company for a quote. Justin came out and gave my husband the options and a quote. Since we were getting a few quotes we didn't give him the order right away The next week we called him and he came back to see me, double check the order and the order was signed. I was told 6 - 8 weeks from the time the second person comes out to double check measurements and the order itself. The second person came out in early September, I believe and did whatever it was that needed doing and the order was submitted, I'm assuming. I gave them a call in mid-October and was told it would be at least 10 weeks so I waited. Mid-November came around and I called again, we are now at the 11 - 12-week mark and I was told that they are running behind and they would have my doors December 5th. I called them back December 5th and sure enough, they were there. I set up the installed date for the following Monday and was told they would be there around 8 am. I called at 9 and was reassured they were coming and that they had to load the truck. I called at 9:30 and was told it was canceled, something happened to one of the installers. No apology, just matter of fact. I did book time off of work for this but that's my problem right? The installation department said they were trying to get in touch with me since 8:30 but my number was out of service, which is true I changed the number but they did have my husbands number so. The appointment was rescheduled for the following Monday (another day off of work) and at least this time they showed up. I opened my front door to -- " I think we have a problem" Explain to me how the sales rep comes out twice and somebody from the installation department to double check everything comes out and they still manage to make the door backward??? After all the waiting, to say I was upset would be putting it mildly. The good news was that they were going to have the door remade at their expense ?? WHAT? REALLY? Was I supposed to be grateful? I do have to say that my sliding door was installed, it looks great and is so smooth and easy to operate but you can buy that brand through other companies so that has nothing to do with Northern directly. The two installers were awesome and I would have them back in my home anytime. Long story short, I've not heard anything from this company since December 18th/ 2017.

    Jerry and Ernie went way out of their way to help me.

    Jerry from Northern Comfort Windows and Ernie went way over and above to help me get my sliding doors fixed. Not only that but Ernie was so helpful, he was my Christmas miracle. I can't thank Ernie enough for his help in getting my doors out so I can get my new washing unit inside my house. Thank you Jerry for sending out your very knowledgable, friendly, installer who provided me with exceptional customer service. My faith has been restored. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Getting Repairs done properly is a chore

    Since I had these patio doors installed I had to have repairs done. Kelly a service repairman that I spoke to on the phone was impatient with me. Then when he came to my house to fix the issues and he tried to be argumentative with me. Now the next day after he supposedly fixed my door I can no longer turn the lock on my sliding door. I have tried to call the Barrie office to say my sliding doors that I paid $1,660.00 with the locking mechanism no longer locks all. All I get is a message system for all departments and no live person. I am not impressed.

    Northern Discomfort

    Unbelieveavle. Ordered Aug 9th. 11-12 weeks for install. 5 weeks past that date and not one person at the whole company can tell me when they will be installed. Do yourself a favour. Order some tarps. Then at least there will be something covering the openings! These people are spineless. Take you money and then ZERO communication. You have to e mail and call. And you will see that not one of them will really give you any solid information. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with these jokers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
