I selected Elie from The Plumbing Expert because I wanted to work with a smaller company allowing me to deal with the owner rather than a random employee. Elie had great reviews and I was not disappointed!
He was hired to replace an existing faucet that was previously plumbed in a difficult manner that required some finesse just to remove it. After a series of contortionist moves, Elie was able to extract the old faucet and began the arduous task of installing the new one. Surprisingly once installed the new faucet leaked. Elie tried every possible remedy which included a trip to the hardware store and ultimately a trip to the supplier to replace the cartridge.
Despite this trouble, the new faucet still leaked. Elie determined that, though unusual, the faucet was defective. Unfortunately after spending 5 hours problem solving, at that point the store was closed so nothing could be done further. Arrangements were made the next business day for a replacement faucet which indeed solved the leaking issue.
My reason for being so impressed with Elie is that he did not want to leave my house without resolving the issue and put in so much of his own time to try. Unlike many contractors, he was more than fair about the compensation and even seemed reluctant to take any money for his time, though the product defect was not his fault. He also followed up the next day because he was so bothered by not being able to perform his job perfectly.
Ultimately in any construction application, there are times when the best laid plans can go awry. It is refreshing to deal with a trade that is professional, tenacious, and genuine in his effort to provide outstanding value-oriented customer satisfaction.
