water damge and flood in our Apartment
I would like to share my experience with the flood and water damage problem I had about 10 days ago. Water overflow from the bathroom sink in our apartment which went to my daughter's bedroom and soaked the carpet there . So we tried to dry it our own way and thinking will dry. After few days we noticed our carpets smells bad. I called few companies to get advice. Five Star Cleaning company was one of them. I talked to Bob and he explain in details that the area needs to be dried including baseboards, under pads removed, then new under pads installed and so on, it will take 3_5 days. Other company insisted that with carpet cleaning my problem will be resolved, since it was going to cost way less, I decided to clean the carpet. So they came in and cleaned the carpet where they used lots of products to get rid off the smell. Next day we noticed not only the smell did not get better , it got even worse?? At that time after 3 days, I called Bob again, and I Honestly told him what has happened. Without getting upset or offended he arranged to come in and fix the problem for us, To make the story short, Bob and his crews came in, they had to take out the under pads, dry all the baseboard and the area for 3 days, then they put a new under pads, fixed the baseboards and clean , dis infect the carpets for us. They tried to have the minimal distraction to our family routines. It was like magic , smell disappeared. I learned to leave the job to professionals, I was lucky that I was able to fix these water damage situation soon enough to prevent mould formation which would have cost me lots of money. I would like to thank Bob for his honesty, excellent customer services, and great job done. I learned my lessons to leave the job to professionals and save money in long run.
