Tom was great and very informative. He did an inspection for our 55+ year-old home. He went through the entire house with us from roof to attic to basement. He spent a fair amount of time patiently explaining all his findings to us and provided some history on our home, the materials used and what to look for. He captured everything in a comprehensive report and gave us recommendations on how to approach the items we found. Overall very efficient, professional, friendly and approachable. Our friends also used him and similarly appreciated how much they learned about their home as well. We would recommend him to anyone.

Tom from Clearview was a pleasure to talk with and to have inspect the house I purchased. He gave excellent tips and advise. It was great to receive the complete inspection report the same day which included the pictures to review that night. It was a pleasure and I would absolutely use again if needed, though I hope to stay in this house for awhile. I was very impressed by how professional, knowledgeable, and detail oriented Tom conducted himself during the inspection. He arrived early and got straight to work on the roof. Not only was he easy to understand and follow but even the manner in which he responded to my questions was clear. I could tell that he is very experienced and cared about my interests. The inspection report was very detailed but easy to understand, I received the report the very same day the inspection was done. Although we did not end up getting the home, I will be calling on Tom again soon when I need another home inspection. I would definitely recommend Tom's services to anyone needing a quality home inspection.

Awesome inspection! Your findings have prompted the sellers to take down the drywall to see exactly where and the extent of the water and potential mold damage. The problem came from the windows at the side of the house and cracked sill outside the kitchen door to be the culprit (it wasn't due to a crack in the foundation, thank goodness!). The sellers will now replace the kitchen sill by a professional masonry company, and will take $1000 off the price of the house for my husband to put the basement dry walls back up. We bought a new model home from the builder and called Clearview to perform a home inspection. Our inspector Tom arrived early and did a thorough job. He also drove to my existing home (5 minutes away) to look at a crack I was concerned about and he did so gladly. Over all I was very pleased with Clearview and would be happy to recommend.

Tom did a wonderful job. We had some concerns about the property and in the end everything was well documented in a PDF document quickly after the inspection which easily allowed us to look over all of his notes. It included plenty of pictures with all deficiencies found and recommendations for repairs and timelines for how critical they were, as well as general guidelines for what codes require. As the inspection was going along he was friendly with our toddler who can be intense at times. Tom walked us around the house as the inspection was ongoing and fielded all of the questions we had and continues to be helpful via email after the fact. Overall very good job done. A+ Thank you

In short, we purchased a house, without a home inspection clause as part of the deal. Big gamble and I'd recommend otherwise, but with the GTA real estate market the way it is, can't go back! For peace of mind, we sought a solid home inspector at a reasonable price. Going with Tom @ Clearview, we couldn't be happier. Over the phone, he patiently explained the process and pricing options. In person, he answered every question I threw at him and he wears his experience well. We opted for the inspection with infrared scan and we learned some very intimate things about our house. The written report is very insightful and we now use it to prioritize the sequence of what to fix or renovate next. If you're on the fence about getting a home inspection, I'd recommend even just calling Tom about your reservations. I'd gladly recommend this company for the honest work that they do.

Very happy with the overall service. Before booking I called Tom and asked a lot of questions about what would be covered with the various options he offered. Very helpful and answered all my questions. We ended up choosing the Extended Plus package including the infrared camera and air sampling. In our case the infrared was very useful, as much of the basement is finished. I would highly recommend this option. The report was sent over promptly, and will remain very useful as a to-list for items in the house. Lots of pictures make the issues clear. Tom was very professional and knowledgeable. He took time to go answer all our (many) questions. Thanks Tom, we really appreciated your efforts!

Simply the best inspection ever! I called Clearview because they had great reviews and from the very first phone call to the end, they were amazing. I had two inspectors from Clearview conduct the inspection...wow...2 for the price of 1. They were fabulous. They spent close to 4 hours on my home (which was only 1900sq ft) and there were beyond thorough....they were super thorough and produced and easy to read and comprehensive report....Too bad the rating scale only goes up to a 10 because they are really a 10+++. Thanks so much Clearview for an amazing job. I would highly recommend.

This was the best inspection ever !! Tom and his partner came as promised, did a thorough inspection, found the 3 major issues the even the current owners were not aware of and sent the report the same day. They were onsite for almost 4 hours were very helpful in answering our questions. As a result of his report we got a $15,000 price adjustment from the Vendor! His report is very detailed (55 pages) and included all the digital and infrared pictures. We seen other inspection reports but Tom's report was the best we've ever seen. Thanks for a fabulous job, we definitely would recommend your services.
