We chose Clearview to do our home inspection based on the high score they received on homestars. We were signed up by Clearview to complete a review which was a little off-putting but we did it. Since however, we have had our gas furnace, stove & dryer shut off 3 separate times by Enbridge for 3 separate gas leaks that Clearview did not detect. After the first leak, I contacted them to inform them that a leak had been found on the day we moved in (because WE could smell gas) and our furnace was shut off. I thought they might want to know in case the equipment they were using was faulty. and despite signing away any rights on the contract, thought they might offer some compensation towards the cost we paid given the repairs cost us well over $1000. However, I was assured that the equipment is routinely examined and working properly and no restitution was offered. We have since had the furnace shut off two other times over Christmas with a 3 year old in the house and me at 8 month pregnant. Rather frustrating. Wanted to share our experience among all the great reviews.
