Landscaping
After interviewing many contractors to landscape our backyard, I found Kurt and his great team. What made him stand apart from the rest was the time he spent with me to go over the project and he even went to help me pick out the stones for the project. He is a genuine person who cares about the quality of his work and he is very honest. Kurt and his team have a great work ethic and they were in and out in under a week. Our backyard looks amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kurt to others. He will be definitely coming back to our home to complete the front and side yard!

Urban Backyard Overhaul
Kurt and his team did a great job on our project. We have a small urban backyard which was not being utilized well. They came in and demo'd the concrete, added nice stonework, privacy fencing all around the space, and even did a few small jobs in the front of our house (levelling some stairs and re-configuring flower beds). Kurt was very quick to respond to questions and helped us make decisions that worked for us. His team completed the job in just one week and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We now have a very usable space!

Widening of driveway and new walkway
We found Kurt and his team to be very professional and detailed. We are very pleased with how our new walkway turned out and most of all feel confident that Kurt did a high quality job at a fair price. We would recommend Distinctive Designs to any of our family and friends and plan to hire Kurt to complete further work in our backyard.

Patio and Garden
We would absolutely recommend Kurt and his company Distinctive Designs. Kurt is knowledgeable, friendly, punctual and creative. Kurt listened to what we had envisioned, provided options and suggestions and was accurate with his estimates. Kurt helped us create our dream patio with trellis for our backyard and a beautiful starter garden in our front yard. This is only the beginning of our landscaping vision for our home, so we look forward to working with Kurt again in the near future--Tiago & Dianne

Landscape Steps
We had a terrible set of landscaped steps that were sliding to the side due to improper install and foundation. I spoke to about 5 different companies all who could not do the job or were priced very high. I came across Kurt on homestars. He was very professional. Walked my Wife and I through the process. His guys were great and did a proper professional job. Would recommend them to others!

Landscape redesign with Stone Walls & Patio
I would HIGHLY recommend Kurt & his team - Shawn, Adrian & Brendon for their workmanship & professionalism in the redesign of our backyard. The team worked incredibly hard digging the soil out, building new wallls, steps & patio ALL BY HAND! Kurt was available to consult, as changes were made along the way. We are thrilled with how it looks & can't wait to enjoy next summer. Thanks to you all & looking forward to doing the upper patio next summer!

front and rear stonework
We are pleased to recommend this company. We loved the work that they did - which was done in a timely manner, but also the recommendations the owner, Kurt Byers, made as we were not exactly clear on what we wanted. His guidance was invaluable. The work was done in a timely and cost effective manner and he is highly professional and kept us informed every step of the way! My husband and I would highly recommend this company for any kind of fencing, percola installation & design, landscaping and stone work. Kurt went above and beyond our expectations and most important, the job came in right on budget!!! These guys get a 10 in our books

Grade and sod front yard
We used Kurt and his team to grade and sod our front yard after a pool install in the back. It was a mess! Roots, rocks, sprinkler lines... They were fast efficient and it looks great!! Definetly would use them again!

Replacing stone walkway and front porch
Kurt and his crew did a fantastic job of helping us decide what stone would be right for us. They arrived first thing and put in 2 solid days of work ripping out our old stones and wood and replacing it with a really beautiful job of new stone. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone looking for good work and a completely courteous and professional crew. Thanks again Kurt!

fence
kurt and his team were awesome they did an excellent job with the installation of our new fence.made it easy, affordable, and fast to gather up all of our Neighbours (12+ homes) The crew was great and the clean up was excellent.
