Kurt and his crew did an awesome job, I hired them to do interlocking, regrading, resodding, tree planting, and some fence post and gate work. From the initial meeting, Kurt understood the look I was going for and offered suggestions based on that and my budget. The Distinctive team arrived early in the mornings, worked through long (and hot) days, and always left the work site clean. I'd definitely recommend Distinctive Designs Landscaping to anyone looking for work to improve their outdoor spaces. Kurt was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. I'll update the photos with better ones once the driveway and deck are done!

Finished a nice patio of about 20' x 10' in my backyard. Nicely done. I couldn't believe how much work was involved and it looked like some back-breaking labour. Everything done relatively on-time and I was happy with the quality. Thank You.

It was a pleasure working with Kurt. On his initial visit with us, we were instantly impressed. He took the time to listen to our vision for our backyard. He then explained in detail what he would need to do to complete it the way we wanted. He was very patient and willing to offer suggestions when we couldn’t decide on the stones we wanted to use. He showed us a variety of choices and even bought the stones to our house so that we could get an idea of how it would look in our backyard. True to his word, Kurt and his team commenced when he said they would. Their work ethic was excellent and our backyard looks amazing!! We can’t wait for Kurt to complete our front yard next year!

Kurt and his crew replaced my front steps, added a small walkway along with edging along my driveway. Kurt and his crew were professional and courteous. Kurt and his team were nothing short of fabulous from the first time I called him to when they completed the job. They are professional, courteous and amazing workers. Kurt took my initial idea and made that into a dream backyard that is not only a pleasure to hang out in but practical and very elegant. He worked with me as I made changes to the original idea and was extremely accommodating. In doing the work, it was obvious that Kurt took personal pride in his service and his work. He was meticulous and made sure that he put finishing touches on everything. His awesome attention to detail and perfectionism is what makes him the right contractor for the job. I have already hired him to transform my front yard. I would recommend him very highly to anyone looking to transform their backyards or have any stone work done.

I had contacted Kurt late in the season with hopes that he would be able to replace our front porch which was in very poor condition with crumbling concrete and a rotting wooden decking. I wish I took pictures to show how bad it really was. He had told me that he would do his best to fit me in before winter came and he lived up to his end of the bargain. I am very happy with the end product, it looks beautiful and look forward to having Kurt and his crew back in for a backyard project in the spring!

Kurt was very professional and easy to work with. He had great ideas and made our backyard look fantastic. We met in the spring and they started our project in September. His crew was polite and they worked quickly and were done in a week and half. I would definitely recommend Distinctive Designs for landscaping projects.

We had a 50-60 year-old enormous, falling-down shed taking up a significant amount of space in our backyard. We got a few quotes to remove it and redesign our backyard. Kurt was creative, reliable and very flexible when it came to adjusting his proposal based on our budget. He and his team removed our shed with great care (which was appreciated by our neighbours who asked for a referral!) and transformed a grubby, small backyard into a nicely designed space with new fences, a mini-stoned wall and a nice stoned sitting area. When we raised a couple of small questions, Kurt returned to review the final project and make some small adjustments. We are happy with the result and would definitely hire Kurt and his team again.
