    Friendly professionals

    Me and my wife just recently moved to Toronto from Europe and we found our new home in a building over 100 years old. The building clearly went through quite a few renovations over the years and we were a bit worried that the current state might not be entirely safe with regards to asbestos and lead, especially lead in water. So we've got in touch with The Healthy Abode, set up an appointment and were greeted with a fantastic, top-notch service. Angelina and Vince are incredibly helpful, professional and yet very friendly, patiently answering my 3000 questions about everything with a smile. I'm very happy we chose The Healthy Abode and wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Neither should you!

    Lead Testing

    We had the windows replaced in our home and only afterwards did I think about the fact that the window frames and sills are probably painted with lead paint as the home is very old. I was very concerned as I have a young baby so I called The Healthy Abode. I first spoke with Angelina on the phone who was very helpful and reassuring and told me first how to clean up the dust and dirt from the work myself. I followed her instructions but then called her again the next day to ask if she would come and test the remaining dust to give me some further peace of mind. She was able to see me the very next day and she and Vince arrived right on time for the appointment. They were totally professional but caring and understanding. They took time to answer all of my questions, look all through the house, and allay my fears. Angelina took a dust sample and the results were back to me in only a couple of days. Angelina also followed up with me by email regarding the results. From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with them and I would call them for any matter relating to lead, asbestos or mold. They were knowledgeable, thorough and kind!

    Amazing service

    Angelina and Vince were everything I needed when I needed them. They were kind, quick to respond, gave full and clear answers without ever talking down to me and even offered very helpful suggestions. In a time when I needed answers they had them in spades and followed through with every promise and solution. Anyone who needs this kind of testing should absolutely hire them.

    Designated Substance Assessment

    Angelina and Vince of the Healthy Abode are fantastic. We contacted them to perform a designated substance assessment, which we needed completed as quickly as possible. We had previously engaged the Healthy Abode to perform testing on our parents' home so knew we would be in good hands to conduct the assessment. They were able to accommodate our urgent request and came to our house the very next day. Angelina and Vince are professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Their understanding in performing their services discreetly and providing honest, impartial advice was very much appreciated. We can't recommend Angelina and Vince highly enough.     Asbestos Testing

    Great service!! My spouse and I recently purchased an old Victorian home and we wanted to test the various vinyl tiles and linoleum found throughout the house, before we started renovations. I sent an email and immediately received a response from Angelina. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered many of the questions I had. Angelina and VInce were able to come to my house the next day to test and were very straightforward with cost associated with the sample testing. Results were received shortly after, with thorough and descriptive report of each flooring tested. I would recommend this company to anyone who will be renovating their home. Thank you Angelina & Vince!!

    Home renovations general inspection

    We recently purchased our first home and as it is quite old, we needed an asbestos check done before we began renovations. Angelina and Vince were able to come to our house the day after we called and were both extremely knowledgeable, easy going and helpful. They went above and beyond, offering great advice on our current renovations and steps that should be taken for future work in our home. I would highly recommend the Healthy Abode and will definitely give them a call if we need more testing done.

    Asbestos Testing

    Angelina was able to accommodate me on the same day to have various substances tested for asbestos. She and Vince arrived to collect the samples and send them for testing. They were both respectful, very helpful and spent the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Angelina also provided some suggestions regarding the expedition of the testing to help me save some money. On the items that I chose to wait 4 business days, I ended up getting them in 3. Would highly recommend.

    Asbestos testing

    Amazing!! Angelina and Vince were very thorough and very personable. Had them check out my first home for asbestos. Tests came back a few days later and were negative. A week later I was demolishing my bathroom and found the older bathroom buried underneath. There was some type of unknown paper on the wall, so I called Vince and Angelina. They came by within an hour and confirmed it was just wall paper that had been painted over. They definitely went above and beyond and I would recommend them to everyone!

    Asbestos removal

    When we had an energy audit done, they reported we had vermiculite in our attic. To be safe, we decided to have it tested. We scoured the internet to try to find a good company. Chose The Healthy Abode. Really glad we did. Angelina was amazing to deal with...right from the initial email contact through to her doing the on-site work and final test reporting. Friendly, professional and thorough. She also took the time to fully explain everything to me. Test result was negative so that was even better!! I would definitely recommend Angelina and The Healthy Abode.

    Designated Substance Survey

    I received a last minute request from my contractor for a DSS report so that my project would not be shut down by the Ministry of Labour. Angelina showed up within hours of me calling to take samples and I had the full results in less than a week. Thank you so much for your speedy response! It helped keep my renovation on schedule without any undue delays! I would also like to note that they were both very courteous and professional and provided excellent communication throughout the process in terms of giving me updates on when the lab report would be back. I would certainly use them again for any future projects and recommend them to others as well.
