    dishwasher

Not happy with the service. Paid the money up front and the problem is still not resolved. When I called them back they said I needed another 600.00 part to solve the issue. I was not told about this at the time of supposed repair. I was assured that the problem would be gone in a few days. Not so.

    Dryer

Called, they said $80, tech came and immediately changed the story to $280 plus parts, charged a $110 for a $10 part. Very pushy people, I STRONGLY recommend NOT giving them your business, it's a ripoff shop.

    Dishwasher Repair

The wait time for service was exceptional. The technician (Vitaly) was very personable, informative and a careful worker, i.e. I had no concerns that he would scratch the floor or cupboards. I couldn't have been happier with the service.

    Refrdgerator Repair

Called for appointment after no shows from other companies. Vitaly arrived as promised and did the servicing of the refrigerator. Explained the problems to me. He was very courteous and professional. He tried to save me money by advising me that there was a part that was not in good condition, however he got it working for now. He advised me that it might work for 1 week or 1 year and if I called for the part at a later date, I would only be charged for the part. He told me what the cost of the servicing would be before he continued and he told me what the price of the part would be, if needed. That helped me make a decision on proceeding with the repair or buying a new fridge. It was working when he left, but unfortunately not the next morning and I am waiting for the part and trust that the service will continue to be as good as it was from the beginning. I am still satisfied with the service even though it cost me $280.00 and the fridge isn't working. Vitaly did advise me of this situation. And I feel that I paid for the servicing that he did to get it working. Thank you and keep up the good work. Next chapter of this saga is that Vitaly came back as promised and installed the part that he told me was not in good shape when he serviced the fridge the first time. As promised I only paid for the part $210.00 and it was installed for free. He once again told me that the fridge was working when he left and to give it 12 hours to reach maximum temperature. I took his word for it, although I now believe that on both occasions the fridge was not working as he told me. I had no way to know whether it was working or not until it got cold (I had a thermometer inside the whole time. The fridge never worked from the moment they came in a serviced it and put a new part on it. It still is not working and I put $560.00 into a old fridge. They now tell me that it must be the compressor to the tune of another $900.00 dollars. Had I had this information from the beginning I would not have bothered with repairs on a old fridge. I did not know that it would be a trial and error process. I trusted that when they came in and determined the problem that they were telling me the truth. I know now that they were not and I have paid them $560.00 for the work that they have done, however apparently it did not solve the problem and my fridge is still not working. I should have asked if their work was guaranteed at all, which would have protected me somewhat, however I am sure that they would have developed a system whereby as the consumer I have no protection against their schemes for money. It is only my word against theirs that the fridge was working when they left and I trusted that. I should not have because it has never worked throughout, the temperature inside has never varied, which is the proof for me. Buyer beware. When I called them to see if they were prepared to do anything further, I was told that it must be the compressor, which is the first time that was every mentioned to me and how would they know that over the phone when I called to say my fridge was still not working. I was never told that there was a possibility of it being the compressor. Armed with that information I would not have continued to do a repair I was told that all they could do was give me a price on a new compressor ($900). I have not called them back and I make this review to warn others of this event. Use this information wisely. I was also given some kind of membership for free which was to give me a discount on parts, etc, which did not happen and they did not stand by that. I would not use them again and do not feel they are reputable.

    Dryer Belt

Forearmed is forewarned. If only I'd read the reviews here first. My experience so exactly matches the previous posts that it is scary. Right down to the labour price of $280.00 plus tax for 20 minutes dismantling my dryer, and, then a quote of $230.00 for a rubber dryer belt. Yes. That's right. A. Rubber. Dryer. Belt. The custormer service rep was rude and angry when I pointed out that I could just buy a new dryer for the price of the belt and installation and queried their pricing. I cannot give this company a low enough rating in all realms. I would, on the other hand, highly recommend that you never (ever) use this company to service your appliances.

    dryer

Tech came and "repaired" dryer belt. Cost $316. It then worked for about 3 seconds when i tried to use it. The tech told us that he had repaired the old belt, if it didn't work call back and they'd install a new belt, with no charge but the cost of the belt, about $40. Called S4A back and was told that a proper repair would cost another $380. Had another company come do the repair, he showed me how the previous "repairman" had deliberately stuck the old belt together with a piece of electricians's tape so it would fail within seconds. Repaired the unit properly, charge $115. Then i found that S4A have 77 active complaints about them with the BBB, using a similar pretense in many cases. Avoid this company like the plague.

    Washing Machine Door Hindge

Part - 230 Labour - 280 Based on the quote we could have only assumed that the tech would be onsite for about a half-a-day, and that's only if my wife assumed that they maybe had a labour rate of roughly $65/hr, needless to say she trusted the tech. In reality he was there for 15 minutes, when when I called the office to shed light on this situation the office manager got extremely angry that I'd question this, continued to blame my wife for accepting the quote (I guess my wife should know their trade better then they do) and hung up on me. So if you don't mind lousy management and paying $1,120/hr to their tech for labour then go for it, but I wish I would have handled this one myself because I would never have agreed to that, I would have questioned the length of the project. Bottom line most people wouldn't know how long it takes to complete the work and only a dishonest company would take advantage of the public this way. I will be trying to get this out to as many people as I can.

    Stove Repair

I made the same mistake as others. I should have checked out this company out. Service technician says it is $280 + Tax as soon as he walks in the door. Then he will advise of any parts that are needed. Their office sends out a credit form you must sign and pay for 50% for parts before they will order. RUN!!
