I had an Hvac company do an improper install of a new tank less water heater which lead to a lot of mold in my basement. The Mold Guys were very quick and efficient. They did a fantastic job cleaning the basement and belongings as well as continuing to check in to ensure satisfaction. Their team were very careful and respectful of my home as well as being extremely friendly and easy to get along with. Even the team at the office went aboce and beyond to please me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I contacted the mold guy after being so frustrated with work that an insulation company did in my attic. They had blocked my soffits in my home and my family were becoming so sick, We did an air quality test and was told we had mould in the attic. We contacted Mold Guy and Kaye was so professional, courteous and helpful. She sent a technician to my home the following day-Ross came and gave us a thorough explanation of what the problem was (thankfully-not overgrowth of mold) and recommended some very creditable, professional company to help me further. I cant say thank you enough for all this knowledge that you have imparted to my family and I. Good people/companies still exist. Thank you so much for your time and for extending your services to my family and I.. Our home is breathing much better and we can all be at peace knowing we have taken a step further in taking better care of our home and the Air quality in our surrounding home. TRUST ME GO WITH THE MOLD GUY. Enough can't be said about the service from the Mold Guy. We recently purchased a home built in the 80s that had wood panelled walls and burgundy carpet in the basement with that familiar "musty" smell. About 10 min into removing some of the panelling I came across some mold. and then some more. and then some more. Right away I hopped on my computer and starting doing days upon days of research on mold and remediation. I came up with two things: 1) it's best to let a professional assess and if required, remove the mold. I'm an aspiring DIYer and believe me this is something left to pros unless you are absolutely certain that the problem is minor. 2) Go with someone you can trust. Unfortunately the 2nd part was hard so I relied on Homestars to lead the way. I ended up spending the money to get multiple assessments and quotes and at the end of the day went with the company that was the most competitive and knowledgeable (a combination not common these days). That's right - QUALITY and PRICE. And responsive. Lucas came by with short notice, ran tests and inspected our basement. He had the same recommendation as other mold specialists and Kay came up with a quote that blew others out of the water. They even removed an old freezer (that smelled like death after I took off the door) and some other pieces of junk. At the end of the day, we had our basement partially demolished down to the foundation, with all the mold being completely removed. No more musty smell. The removal crew was courteous and professional and Kay was knowledgeable, responsive and a delight to speak with. I have two young kids and wasn't going to take any chances with mold. Going with the Mold Guy was a result of a TON of research and consultation and I encourage you to leverage off the time and money I spent to make the right decision and go with the MOLD GUY.

Basement cold storage room was leaking for a long time. It had been foolishly insulated with a vapour barrier and dry-walled by the builder years go, allowing dampness and moisture and rot to build up.. The room need to be cleaned up by having everything removed down to the bare cement which was sprayed and prepared for the installation of a inside liner by another contractor. I was impressed by this company. Booking was easy, they arrived promptly and removed everything efficiently and with minimal mess. Overall, very professional.

I hired a roofing company to replace my roof and upon inspection, they advised me that there was mold on the plywood covering the attic. This unexpected news obviously caused me a huge amount of stress and anxiety both from a financial and a health perspective. I called the Mold Guy company and spoke to Kay who was wonderful, calming and very efficient. She quickly arranged for Ross to pay me a visit the same day in order to assess/estimate the problem and she encouraged me to call her back if I had more questions or concerns. After Ross investigated everything, he gave me the most wonderful news that in fact the mold was from a long time ago, had dried out and was totally dormant and not dangerous! Ross was extremely likable, professional, trustworthy and an excellent communicator. He answered all of my questions and provided excellent advice to pass on to the roofers while doing their job the next day. I suspect that some other mold treatment/environmental companies may have recommended that some unnecessary work be done. If I ever come across anyone who has any mold issues, I will strongly recommend that they call The Mold Guy immediately! A very huge thanks to Kay and Ross for their support and information during this stressful time.

Lucas and Cameron were sent to our house from Mold Guy and did an amazing job. They were on time, completed their work in less than the estimated time and fully cleaned up everything and took with them without leaving any mess behind. The company felt with our problem promptly, professionally and with a great attitude

I called the Mold Guy based on the reviews I saw on HomeStars after I found a leak from my dishwasher and I wasn't sure how much water had gotten under my tile and laminate beside where my dishwasher is located. The young man that came to my condo was very polite and helpful. He checked the mold levels on the floor and in the area where I had had my leak and found the levels were acceptable. He suggested I get a dehumidifier to lower humidity overall in my condo, which I did and it is helping tremendously. He also checked a couple of other potential problem areas around my condo such as my bathroom and den (where condensation builds up). He was very patient, answered questions and totally professional. The service was great. The only improvement I would suggest would be for The Mold Guy as a business to have a lower rate visit for minor issues such as mine (i.e. a half price visit). The service I received by phone to make the booking was also excellent. I would recommend this business to my friends.

I phoned The Mold Guy to get an inspection of my basement done at the end of October, 2014. Ross showed up the same day, 2 hours after I called. He was fantastic. He was calm, approachable, knowledgable and funny. His assessment assured me that I did not have a problem and his expertise verified it. He also continued to communicate with me over the last few weeks. He's fantastic. Don't hesitate to use Ross if you have a problem or if you just want piece of mind.

We had mold and mushrooms growing in our basement beside/behind our washing machine which we thought was coming from the shower stall in the bathroom on the adjacent wall. Overall, I was satisfied with the work performed and the removal with a few exceptions. The workers were supposed to arrive at 9 am and despite me calling ahead to tell them I had to leave the house at 9:40 am for an appointment, the workers arrived late due to traffic. I had to leave the backdoor open for them to enter, which I wasn't happy with. Second, they quoted me for a full day of removal but the work only took half a day but I was still charged for the full day, so I feel that they might over quote on purpose and then use excuses like "We put on an extra guy, the work wasn't as bad as expected , the guys worked fast to get done because it's Friday etc." If you hire, ask lot's of questions about the quote, e.g number of people, what happens if it takes longer/shorter etc.

I had an old basement leak that I had neglected for a couple of seasons (without further issue, but potentially carrying mold) and a new one in a different area of the house that required immediate attention as a consistently damp carpeted area. I received a visit from Ross, who explained in terms that a building/construction layman such as myself could understand what was necessary immediately and in the longer term to remediate both damp area issues effectively. Kay and Erin in the office were a pleasure to deal with and were able to schedule my work at a time that was convenient for me. The work was undertaken on time, on budget and all cleaning of the affected areas was undertaken very professionally. First rate work undertaken by a customer conscious Company!!
