Well I want to start off by saying my wife and I had a wake-up call on this subject.my wife first noticed a bedbug on the floor in our washroom near the end february.she freaked didn't want to tell me straight away.because I would have also freaked.so looking on Google quick search found a pest control guy.he said all the right things to make us feel calm.he said spraying chemicals is the best way .he would spray our whole house and furniture.and this is safe for my family once it dries.of course we went along he told us after we need to sleep in our beds to sacrifice ourselves to get bitten .maybe for weeks.i came when he started spraying we cheked my master bedroom furniture he didn't see anything nether did i.reasuring me this is going to be quick easy spray.after the spray $1200.i stared looking up homestars.i know should've done that first came upon Mohamed and spoke to him right away I felt ok this guy knows what he's talking about.as.all his reviews said.he came for a visit promptly.and first this he showed me was our headboard was infested .he cheked the rest of the house.and found it was concentrated in our master bedroom.furniture.he suggested options that would be cheapest he felt bad we had Paid this other company.$1200 .and we proceeded to go ahead with his recommendations.to date no bedbugs Mohamed called and came for a checkup .made us feel confidant and secure and educated.hes a gentiman and we're thankful we found him .thx Mohamed.

Mohammed was absolutely fantastic and was the only saving grace when I was 9 months pregnant and thought we had bed bugs - it ended up being bat bugs which is very rare (got them from our cottage) is much more manageable. He came at the last minute on a Sunday night (thank you!!), was professional, calm, extremely thorough, and an absolute expert. I was even able to text him after he left with any remaining questions. And, if we did have bedbugs, he was going to do a treatment that was thorough, safe for the kids, and measured. I would HANDS DOWN recommend him and am so grateful for all of his help. It's been a few week since Mohamed (Bed Bugs 101 Canada) came to inspect space in my home after a tenant complained of bites. He was highly recommended by a neighbour who had a bed bug problem, as he was very thorough and solved her problem permanently. I had in the meantime caught a tiny bug that looked very much like a bed bug. Mohamed, being a very knowledgeable entomologist, immediately recognized the insect as a carpet beetle, similar in size to bed bugs, informing me that they do not bite/feed on humans, but live on or in dusty areas, like boxsprings and rugs/carpets. But that hypersensitive people may have allergic reactions to their presence, ie. , very similar or worse than bed bug bites. Funny enough, I was having problems in my own bedroom with a rash 6 months previous that 9 doctors could not figure out after having my house inspected by a canine for bed bugs. The problem with canines is that they only look for bed bugs, period. Hiring an experienced entomologist will look for all critters that may be causing distress or just annoyance. Lo and behold, not only did my tenant's room have carpet beetles, but so did mine; mystery solved. I vacuumed, encased both beds, washed my area rugs and put specialized cup traps on the feet of my bed. Carpet beetles are more common than you think, but you would probably never know you have them unless you were having allergic reactions to them. Mohammed followed up two weeks later to make sure everything was good. I wish I had hired him sooner. Canine's success rate is far from perfect and only a thorough inspection by a specialist, not a technician, can really get to the bottom of your pest issues.

We unfortunately had to call Pest Solution Services because I got what seemed like insect bites on my elbow and forearm. I found a bug on the sofa that upon googling looked like a bed bug. We searched Homestars and called one of the top rated services the next morning. Mr. Akram came that same evening. He confirmed that we found a bed bug. He did a very thorough inspection of all the bedrooms and sitting rooms and provided us with a lot of information about bed bugs, where they hide and what precautions we needed to take. I work at a downtown hospital and take public transit and was told that bed bugs are very common in these locations. After the inspection, Mr. Akram did not find more bugs, thankfully. We got covers for our mattress in case and got pheromone sensors to monitor. Several weeks later, I found four more bites on my upper legs. I was fearful that there were more bugs though there was nothing obvious in the sensors. We turned the house upside down carefully searching for any signs. We found what may have been nymph stage bugs in the sofa, and what may have been more evidence of bugs in another sofa. At this stage I was thoroughly upset and fearful that we had bed bugs. I started to clean and steam mop everything frantically and did many loads of laundry! We called Mr. Akram and after a few email exchanges and some emailed photographs, Mr. Akram visited us again. He did a careful inspection and found nothing. He said the bites on my legs were unlikely (because of the location) to be from bed bugs. He confirmed that what we thought were signs of bed bug feces were actually from spiders. He instructed us on how to best steam clean to make sure we get everything, though he reassured us that we definitely did not have an infestation. By our own choosing, we got more sensors, interceptors for the bed and sofas, and covers for the pull out sofa. It's been several weeks now, and no new signs. We are very thankful to have found Mr. Akram and would recommend him to anyone in this situation without any reservation. He is truly a professional who is knowledgeable and applies a scientific approach to his investigations. Beyond this, he is exceptionally kind. He is very sincere in his wish to help. He understands the stress and fear that comes with bed bugs and takes the necessary time to provide the needed education and to reassure his clients. In spite of the stress in this situation, we also appreciated Mr. Akram's sense of humour (which is very needed in these situations!)

Muhammad was extremely helpful during this stressful situation. As soon as we realized we may have had an issue we called him right away after the stellar reviews we saw on HomeStars. We were not disappointed. Muhammad is the best!!! He came and assessed our apartment the same day we called him. After finding signs of bed bugs he treated the apartment the very next day. It has been two weeks and we are bed bug free! Not only did he do a great job in quickly removing bed bugs he also supported us during this stressful situation. Joe Bruno of Snap Pest Control recommended Mohammed at PSS because I had only a couple of bites. I had an inspection for BB done today. I was very anxious to simply go forward with a steam treatment, but Mohammed told me it was not necessary. Instead: - he helped me to put the mattress and box spring cases on - he took the time to explain things about bedbugs I did not know (the like wood beds, not metal; they must have a feeding to move to the life stage or they will die; the signs of live infestations; ...) I am still going to put everything I have in sealed plastic and vacuum and steam and not allow anyone in my home, but that's just me. I feel so much better. Hope this helps.
