    Paid for nothing, Bad Experience

Very Bad Experience. I booked appointment for my washing machine. Technician Come and ask for the service is $280. Even after he doesn't know machine will working or not. and then if any part will faulty then pay for part value. Its mean $ 500 for machine repair. It's better to buy a new Machine. Worthless $80 +service tax= $91. I will never call this company.

They take money without fixing anything

I asked for a service to replace an inlet for my fridge. On the phone the cost was $80 but technician asked for $280+tax to include service till it's fixed. He came, looked and told me that I need to change inlet. I knew that. He did not bring an inlet with him to fix it. So he gave me quote for the part that was 400% above the cost on market. Plus asked for more money to come back and finish the job. Speaking with customer service, they were rude, did not help with options and hung up on me without finishing the call. Don't ever use them. They take your money and don't do anything.

    Kenmore icemaker

Do not use these people. Charged new $285 for diagnosis and said I need a new ice maker for $400. So $722 later I would be fine. No way Jose! Icemaker works fine. I know this for sure as I put water in tray and 4 hours later - ice cubes. I am reporting these people to BBB for what its worth. Very misleading ad on their website. Guy works out of his car - no service truck . I should have known better. Buyer beware

The service charge is a fraud do not hire!!!

I hired this company to diagnose my washing machine after it started making a noise in the spin cycle. They were very quick to call me and arrange a day and time that their technician could come out and assess the machine. The charge would be $80 plus hst and he would give me an estimate. If I were to get the machine fixed the service charge would be waived. The tech arrived on time and I showed him to the machine, gave him a synopsis of what the problem was. He did not want to listen to the video that I took exposing the problem instead, he said he would run the spin cycle and listen first hand. I went to my kitchen and 4 or 5 minutes later he called me back. The machine had been pulled out about 12” and he didn’t run the spin cycle. He told me that he could open up the machine, clean it up and see what the problem was, the cost would be $280 plus hst. He didn’t open the machine, didn’t so much as remove a screw. The $80 service charge is simply a con so that they can get into your house and try to squeeze more money out of you. You will get nothing for this $90.40 except the feeling that you have just been conned. The $280 is the charge they should be selling but, we all know that they would get no business if this was advertised. This was the first time that my wife or I had hired anyone without reading reviews, quite shameful considering I myself have a 99% rating on this site with 245 reviews. Avoid this company at all costs!

    Refrigerator Repair

DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY APPLIANCE REPAIRS!!!. Their Technicians ROB YOU blatantly! We paid $400 for one of their Technicians "Igor" to fix our refrigerator. After being told it was fixed, the application still wasn't working a week later. We tried to obtain their "Warranty Service" but this was unsuccessfully with their horrible customer service. We then agreed to have another technician fix the application and they sent "Kamal". Kamal changed his labour quote from $120 (that was agreed on) to $220 just like that without any explanation on the $100 sudden increase. They still were not able to fix the applicance. I spent over 4 months back and forth with their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE who demands I pay the outstanding $100. It was a horrible experience that took up so much stress and time. In the end, we had to purchase a new appliance.

    Terrible Company

Terrible customer service.! the guy came into my house and was there for 5 min flat. didn't take a screw driver to open the face of the oven or anything just poked his fingers in and quoted me $1800! when i refused I had to paid $90 for the call and I was no further along than before. the GE stove door comes in many parts but if he opened it he can see what would have been required instead he just quoted me on a whole new door! I called to complain and the lady said their service calls representatives don't do any work so your paying $90 FOR NOTHING!!! WARNING... DO NOT USE THEM! After he left I called GE parts and the part I need is $269. I really don't know how a company like this stays in business. my bad for not checking the reviews! Completely disgraceful!

    Dryer "repair" left completely disassembled.

If anyone is looking for a company NOT to call for appliance repair, we just had a terrible experience with Appliance Repair Team. This is the state it was left in. Not repaired. The tech attempted to have "a buddy drop off a part later" , changed the pricing every time they spoke, and when I spoke with their HR to resolve it I was put on a 3way call as if this was grade 8 and yelled at repeatedly, told untruths to and about, and repeatedly asked for my husband to come to the phone even though my husband was not the one dealing with the repair. 0/10 company, technician, and customer service. Absolutely do NOT recommend.

    Beware this company is dishonest

Sent a repair man for a washer and washer was fixed only to break down shortly after. When we contacted the company they said an part was needed and asked us if we wanted to order it. We told them the repair man, Gairmene, told us no part was needed and he could fix it. When I asked for a refund of the repair they said labor is non-refundable and offered a $35 dollar "Goodwill credit"

    Built in oven repair

Technician showed up 30 minutes late outside the 2 hour window. Before he touched the oven said "I've seen this many times with this model, it's the oven timer, Frigidaire is not making these parts anymore so it's not repairable". When I asked about surplus parts dealer or repairing the board the answer was "it's not possible". It took him longer to write up the 80 dollar invoice than look at the oven. It took me 10 minutes to take out the board the next day and take it to the local electronics repair place. They replaced a $7 relay and the oven is working better than ever.

Misled me with a "service fee" and a "diagnosis" fee

Wow, I've never felt like so many reviews echoed my experience with this company! Normally I research a company before engaging them, however I felt that this company was legit because they claimed on their website to repair my make of washer. When I called them they were responsive, sounded professional, and were available at that very moment I called (in hindsight I should've seen this as a red flag). The lady on the phone explained that the service call would cost $80 and that because the scheduled appoinment was within 24 hours that I could no longer cancel that fee. I agreed. Having deal with so many service calls from other companies (reputable as well as mom/pop businesses) for other appliances (eg. furnace, a/c, hot water tank, stove, fridge, ....), I thought that this fee was for the diagnostic. When the guy arrived he wasn't very friendly, but that didn't bother me as I just wanted my washer working again. He explained to me that I needed to pay $280 + tax ($316.40) before he began to "work" to: "service the shocks, service the rotational system, and perform an alignment". He also said that this cost included labour to install the any parts if any were needed, so that I wouldn't pay for labour twice. He proceeded to tell me that in the worst case scenario I'd need new parts, and in the best case scenario he'd be able to fix my washer without the need for parts. In the event that I needed new parts, those would be extra. I accepted it, so he waived the $80. 10 minutes later he was finished with his "diagnosis" and quoted me $998 for a new inner/outer drum with spider. I told him that I didn't want to proceed as that would cost me ~$1300 (including his "service" cost) and that for that price I might as well buy a new washer. He went on to tell me that old washers are better than new ones because they're more reliable, .... I refused and asked if I get some partial refund because I didn't accept his labour to replace the part. He laughed at me and said that he already did the work so no refund would be given. I asked him what work he had done to a broken drum. He said he had serviced it. I asked him what did he mean by "serviced it". He said that he inspected the broken part. Since when does a diagnosis imply a service? From my experiences I know service to be a maintenance of some sort. I told him, "so I paid you $316 to diagnose my issue", and he replied, "and to service it". I pointed at my front door and asked him to leave. It's these kinds of businesses that make you weary of having anything serviced (your car, furnace, a/c, stove, .......). This company is outright DISHONEST. I hope others stay away. It can't possibly be an unlucky chance that several dozen people had a bad experience with this company.
