Mike and his team of professional and polite workers dug out the north wall of my east york home (by hand) because the machine would not fit between the two houses. They parged the foundation then put on a gel coat and a membrane, they then replaced the weeping tile and put in window wells. All this in a timely manner, and after 2 quotes from other companies I know it was a reasonable price. After the clean up nothing was left but their comapny sign on my front yard which I have no problems displaying for a few extra days. I highly recommend this company if u have wet basement problems. And yes after a heavy rain storm my basement is high and dry again and is guaranteed for years to come.

Mike and his crew did an excellent job on the replacement of our existing concrete porch and walkway. The job was completed in just over a week after receiving an estimate, whereas other companies were estimating a 6-8 week wait. The job was a bit challenging — our walkway is very narrow, so they removed excavated material without a wheelbarrow. They used buckets! They also added integrated drainage at my request at the last minute. Kudos to Mike's crew – they were very polite and accommodating. The final cost increased by a small amount at the end of the job – the original concrete was much thicker than he has originally guessed, and this incurred additional labour and disposal. No complaints, I found this to be very reasonable. We are very pleased with the whole experience, and would not hesitate to use Mike again or recommend him to our friends.

Mike did an outstanding job on our basement. The estimate was reasonable; the workers arrived on time and were polite; and the work was finished on time. Mike was very helpful with a few last-minute changes and responded immediately to our concerns. I would recommend him fully and without hesitation.

Read the positive reviews here and took a chance, Mike returned my call right away, came by the same day (even came by a couple times to make sure of the details) and within a couple weeks, was here (even came early) dug right in. Not only was he and crew professional, they went beyond and even repointed a lot of loose mortar joints of the bricks of the garage near the floor. Job was done as fast as he promised, clean job site, and the new floor look fantastic! No problem highly recommending him whatsoever!

As a senior, I am always a little apprehensive about getting estimates from any contractors. I needed my walkway and steps replaced because they were badly broken and pieces of the walkway would heave up making is very easy for one to trip and fall. As they say "an accident waiting to happen'. After looking at the work that was done on Bingham, I was really anxious to meet Mr. Scott. I was completely at ease and got a proper written estimate from him. After long deliberation, (about 10 minutes) I knew he was the one for me. I am so very happy with the excellent work. My walkway is beautiful! Everyone around has complimented me on the fine work. The crew was professional, courteous and respectful. Oh and I must add although I am a goldie oldie, I'm never too old to appreciate 'eye candy'. Thanks guys for a great job.

I need a contractor to replace the old walkways that were broken and uneven causing a trip hazard. I turned to HomeStars and contacted several contractors of which Mike Scott was one. He came out to estimate the job and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I am very happy I decided to go with Mike. His crew showed up a few days later and completed the job as discussed. The crew was friendly, kept the work area clean and was respectful of the neighbours property. Mike Scott and his crew did a great job and improved the curb appeal of my Mothers home.

Got a quote from Mike for a new sidewalk to run beside the house along with some parging and tuck pointing. While not the cheapest option, Mike definitely seemed the most professional and thorough of the contractors that I met. For the most part, the work itself was excellent but there were a few minor issues. After a couple of conversations, we reached a good agreement. Mike is an honest and personable guy who wants to make sure you're happy with the job. As they say, it's how mistakes are handled that matters. Because of that, Mike will be the first person I call for future work and I will recommend him to friends & family.

Mike installed three new sidewalks at our small condo property. Mike provided good service, and quality workmanship at reasonable cost. We would recommend Mike and will definitely ask him to help us with future projects.

Mike and his guys were awesome! We live in a narrow house and they had to do everything by hand. The gentlemen working for him couldn't have been more polite. Highly, highly recommend Mike Scott Home Improvements!!!
