Geoff was on time for the inspection, he was very friendly and thorough and he was happy to show us things that he'd found so we could make sense of them when we looked at the pictures in the report. He didn't once make us feel dumb about any of the questions we asked (as non-handy home owners). He had his report to us by the following day and it was very detailed but easy to understand. Highly recommend him!

Geoff ,of R.E.I. Service, was on site promptly at designated time. He was received by the owner of the property and my brother, a professional contractor, who I asked to oversee and aid in the inspection, as I felt I lacking in the construction vernacular which could prove valuable in understanding all communications to transpire. Geoff was very receptive to request and positive to all interactions. My brother reported that Geoff was very thorough in the service being provided and pleasant to work with. The inspection took about 2 1/2 hours, at the end of which Geoff reviewed his impressions with both me and my brother and indicated all his orally reported findings would be followed up with a written report in a few days. The written report was received as promised and proved to reflect his thoroughness. I was very pleased with both the professional work done and the pleasant manner in which it was conducted. I was very nervous at the thought of purchasing an older home and knew I would need the right home inspector to ensure everything was gone through thoroughly. I searched the internet for reviews on good home inspectors and Geoff Latham's name came up with REI. I made the decision to hire him based off excellent reviews and I am so glad I did! Geoff was extremely personable, explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions. You know the job is being done right when time is taken and not rushed and after a 4 hour process of inspecting my new home I feel completely at ease that Geoff and REI have given me all the answers I need. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection done right!
