    Thoughtful, thorough plumbing job

    Our shower faucet stopped working close to midnight last night. My husband and I tried desparately to fix it as the water would not stop pouring; we had to shut down the water to the whole house. We knew we needed to call someone. We have two kids under four and are on a very tight budget. We called this company immediately based on the HomeStars ratings and reviews. Mike was here promptly at 9am this morning, fixed our problem expertly, and even tackled another. There was some risk involved because had he not been able to fix it (it wound up being quite a serious corrosion problem that we were totally unaware of) it would have been a huge, expensive, wall-breaking job. Mike was patient and persistent, trying hard to keep it a smaller, solvable job. And he did just that. He fixed it, saving us a considerable cost. Then, when I asked if he could take a look at a broken pop-up plug, he did and, again, a corrosion problem that had eaten away at the whole plug system. He quickly ran up to Home Depot, picked up the part, and fixed this too. He insisted upon triple-checking. The bill came to $380, which although more, of course, than we'd hoped given this problem came from out of the blue for us, he was very fair and looked to save us money where he could. We will not only use their services again, but recommend them happily. (As a nice, small addition, Mike is also a hobbyist beekeeper, and sold me a 2lb container of absolutely gorgeous wildflower honey for $20.)     Clogged sink drain

    We had a clogged kitchen drain, we called Drain Rooter and Mike was able to fix it the same day. We highly recommend this company for their respectful and effective service.

    Leaky pipe

    Had a leaky pipe in our garage. Mike came over, assessed the situation, and fixed without any issue. His service was prompt, professional and polite. I would recommend this company without reservation and will be calling them again should the need ever arise. Thank you!

    Master Bathroom Plumbing Rough in job + pipe rerouting

    I contacted DrainRooter Plumbing to receive a quote for a plumbing job I needed done. We were renovating our master bath and looking to change out the Vanity. After tearing out the floor and old vanity I realized the configuration of the drain pipes and water pipes was not going to work. I needed the pipes to be tucked into the wall rather then coming out of the floor. There was a also a crack in one of the water pipes caused by the demo. Right away within the same day my email was responded to, and I was able to schedule a time for a plumber to come by and asses the job. The estimate/assessment was free and they sent someone out as early as the next day. DrainRooter sent over Mike, who is very professional and figured out what needed to be done quickly and efficiently. After we discussed the job and price (which was reasonable considering the work required), we agreed to go ahead with the work. Mike went to work right away getting supplies and explaining every step which needed to be taken. Mike would also communicate often about what he was doing and why, it was good piece of mind to be part of the process. The job required cutting away some wall and floor to access the pipes. Several water pipes and the drain pipe needed to be replaced and redirected. Mike was able to complete the job in about 4-5 hours and installed new valves. When he was complete he inspected the job and checked for any leaks etc. Overall we are very happy with the job done and the price payed was inline with the quote. I would recommend DrainRooter to anyone in need of a plumbing job done.

    Toilet flooding

    I awoke to a flooded third floor bathroom, pouring down through my second and first floor ceilings. Mike came promptly and identified the problem immediately. When I asked if he could do the snaking and toilet replacement the next day, he agreed to come back, even on Canada Day! Thanks.

    Plumbing issue fixed

    We had a drain backup when we were using the washing machine. After it happened the second time, I called Drain Rooter based on the positive reviews from this site. On one of the worst weather days of the year, Mike from Drain Rooter was able to stop by within an hour or so. He tried a few things to inspect the problem, but discovered an even bigger issue with our plumbing. He eventually diagnosed the issue which required a lot more work, and said he could come to fix it the very next day. He didn't charge me anything for almost 2 hours of work on the first day, as he said "I didn't fix anything". So his crew came the next day and was able to replace some damaged piping under our floor. He was transparent with me every step of the way, offered realistic advice, and the cost for the work done was on the low end of our expectations. I would not hesitate to call Mike back for any other plumbing issues we experience (hopefully not too soon!). Thanks!

    kitchen drain

    My kitchen drain was draining very slowly, so I called DrainRooter. It was arranged that a plumber would come out the same day. Mike arrived, assessed the situation and ran a snake through the drain. The drain worked but not as well as Mike wanted it to work. He was not happy with the results, so did not charge me. He said to call if it gets worse. It did get worse, so I called. Mike came back. The drain was a troublesome one. My house is old and the plumbing for the kitchen goes all across the house and drains to the opposite side. Needless to say, it was not an easy fix. But, Mike persisted and my drain works! He worked very hard to find a solution to the problem that was not going to cost thousands of dollars to replace pipes. He was professional, thoughtful and kind. The price was more than fair for the hours that Mike was at the house. I would highly recommend this company, if Mike is any indication of their quality of work and professionalism. Thank you again.

    Main Drain Clog

    Our main drain was clogged, and the water level was elevating. The technician from Drain Rotter came on time (sorry, forgot your name, and it is not written on business card) , did his job Problem was served in mere 20 minutes Efficient and accurate job. Thank you!

    Rework of laundry room plumbing

    After waiting for 5 hours for a no-show other plumber, I called around and DrainRooter was able to have someone come that evening, saving what would have been a wasted day on our renovation. John was here within 2 hours (of which 1.5 was during Friday evening rush hour along the 401). We had a friend move our laundry pipes and drain the previous week, but weren't 100% comfortable with whether the work was done correctly. John was able to point out what was correct and which items were not, and explained the codes and how the plumbing works, while explaining what he needed to fix and why. Everyone knows that you should never leave plumbing to a non-professional, and we know that, and still we tried. In the end, we would have had a burst pipe, causing much more damage. (John showed us the pipe that would likely have broke and explained how he could tell.) He had his work done neatly and quickly, and cleaned up the area well, and at a good price. DrainRooter and John were very helpful to keep our renovation schedule on track and save a potential future big expense! Thanks so much!

    Faucet Replacement

    My faucet was leaking and they were recommended by my friends. They did great work, friendly plumbers and fair pricing. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely call them again.
