We have hired A Cut Above for two painting jobs. Both times the services was very efficient and professional. The painting was completed quickly and the finished product looked great. Clayton and Kelly are very polite and tell you exactly what they need to get the job done. Their rates were very reasonable for the quality of work that was achieved. This pair definitely comes highly recommended on our part.

An awkward space to paint - 2 storey with stairs to basement. Clayton agreed to my choice of paint, arrived on time, explained what and how he and Kelly would do the work, used full drop cloths and did a careful, quality job. Very reasonable price.

Clayton and Kelly painted the whole interior of our home last may. They were very professional, on time every day and very easy and accommodating to work with. The whole job was completed in only four days which was amazing considering the amount of work. The finished product was absolutely beautiful and it made our home look like a new home. My husband and I were referred to Clayton and Kelly by my sister, after they painted her condo. We asked them to do a custom paint job of our baby girl's nursery and we couldn't have been happier with the result! Clayton and Kelly are knowledgeable, meticulous and extremely efficient. They left their workspace tidy at the end of the day and provided us with honest feedback on their progress. Both Clayton and Kelly are very nice and friendly people. They both have a good work ethic. They were very diligent, always arrived on time and completed our job as per schedule. The quality of their work was very good.

My wife and I were looking to have several rooms in our home re-painted to remove colours chosen by a previous owner. These rooms had various degrees of drywall patching that needed to be done as well. We interviewed four painting companies in Ottawa, all of which seemed very nice and offered competitive quotes. We chose Clayton & Kelly (A Cut Above Painting) because they took a great deal of time explaining their method, the materials they would use, their clean up process and they gave us a detailed Excel spreadsheet quote describing each step of the project. Their price was very competitive as well. They gave off a very positive and energetic vibe when we met them and this carried on throughout the project. As for the project and work itself, their painting was precise with even coverage and sharp cut lines. They did a very good job on drywall patching some challenging areas where there were multiple holes created by old A/V and speaker wire panels from the 1980s. They were happy to do additional work that we requested during the project that was not part of the original quote. They gave us daily feedback emails with lengthy room-by-room descriptions of work completed and work outstanding. These emails were written with unusually high quality for a contractor (no offense to other contractors, but spelling and punctuation is often not their strong suit). After all, we were extremely satisfied with the results and we did not give 1 penny before the project was complete and they personally gave us a tour through every room. We will most certainly re-hire A Cut Above Painting in the future and would recommend them highly.

Our house was built in the 1920's and the wood and previous paint were not in good shape. Clayton and Kelly worked diligently to give us a quality job. We are delighted with how the house now looks. Clayton and Kelly are hard working very pleasant people. We enjoyed having them around.
