Excellent detailed crew who were very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us answer questions from nosey neighbors and the final backyard stonework and gardens looks amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Very disappointed with the final product. Armour stone wobbles in a few places. Large gaps that we where advised would not be there. We called in and they said they would fill them. One individual came out with a handful of rocks. There is a lot of cracks in the stone, looks like they will split soon. It’s tough to have straight horizontal lines but this wall in that respect very disappointing. They put very little base down for sod, makes it tough to aerate with stone and rocks just below surface. This was down about 2 years ago, time is showing their quality. When calling in about concerns, they want pictures. Guess to busy to send a rep to document and share with their installers.

Second time we employed Birks as a result of a recent move. The owner sought our input, offered his advice setting out specific patio stones shrubs and trees along with the reasons why. The work team were customer service oriented, respectful and polite. Yes four employees who gave it their all diligently working and completing project in two days. The completed project shows pride and professional workmanship.

From quote to payment, and everything inbetween. Each person we talked to was friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. We will definitely be working with Birks Landscaping in the future on another project.

My new walkway and front steps were installed the week of August 20 - 24, 2018 and looked great. Lezlie was good to work with and the crew worked hard and were very pleasant. HOWEVER - On May 29, 2019 I was doing yard work and noticed the polymeric sand was cracked and shrinking away from some of the stones in one area - maybe a dozen stones involved; this is an invitation for weeds and ants to find a home! I immediately called the office, explained the problem to Jen and she said she would talk to the boss. I got a voice message the same day from her telling me the boss says the sand is not covered under the warranty but they could tell me the name and colour of the sand and I could fix it myself. I called back that day and told Jen that after paying that amount of money their response was unacceptable. The back of the Contract Proposal states under Section 4. Stonework, point a. Stonework is guaranteed for a period of 2 years and under point e. Use of polymeric sand included. Nowhere does it say the sand isn't included in the warranty. How would the stones stay in place without the sand; it's an integral part of the "stonework". What does the 2 year guarantee cover? She said she would check with the boss again and call me back. I didn't hear from anybody so I called again June 11, 2019 and Jen apologized for not calling back. I asked her to talk with the boss again or have Lezlie come over and have a look at the area in question. Later that day I had a voice message from a "Private Caller" and it was Lezlie telling me the sand is not included in the warranty but when she's in the neighbourhood she'll come and have a look; no indication of day or time and no way of calling her back to set an appointment. While Birk's upfront service is good and they're quick to take your money, their follow up customer service is non-existent. I am extremely disappointed and will tell people considering hiring Birk's to steer clear. UPDATE JUNE 14th: Lezlie came by yesterday and told me she had just found out about my concerns the previous day. She reiterated the fact that the sand is not covered under their warranty. She looked at the area involved and said the sand may have cracked because there is a very slight slope in the ground but she will arrange to have someone come out and take care of it. Rob came out this morning and explained what he was going to do. When I got home this afternoon I checked out the repair, it looks great and is now re-enforced by metal edging. I'm sure if I had talked with Lezlie initially this problem would have been dealt with promptly hence the change in my rating.

We saw Birk's Landscaping on a Houzz website. I called for a quote. The next day Lezlie came out. She was professional, personable and gave us a great idea on what to do. We decided it was a go. The crew showed up. Three nice polite and professional young guys. Ryan, Mike and Ken. They did their job methodically, and were very organized. They cleaned up every day at quitting time and then arrived early each day. Job was done in 2 1/2 days. New walkway, lovely patio, new sod, new pea gravel border . Everyone did an excellent job. Will certainly hire them again if we need any more work done.

Completely customer oriented and professional - creative design and took the time to answer questions and get our input and then executed professionally, on time and a great result. Very skilled and capable company.

Birk's turned our backyard dream into a reality. Lezlie did a great job of drawing up the blueprint, and Ray and his team made it come to life. Everyone was very professional, the job was completed in a timely manner, and we are smiling ear to ear with the finished product. We highly recommend this company.

Great crew, good communication, attention to detail, respectful, work started and completed on time, beautiful design, even neighbors commented on clean up. Highly recommend. Great customer service. I was included in all the plans and even some changes without issue.

We had Birk's in the fall of 2015 to fix up our dated front and back yards. They came in and designed such beautiful walkway's and patio's. In the front, they covered the porch in flagstone, and made a beautiful curved walkway out to the driveway. They were able to cut a nice curve into the driveway so the walkway seamlessly connects. In the back they took out our dated stone patio and put in a beautiful new stone patio. The patio wraps around both sides of the house out to the gates. They made us such an amazing spot for the BBQ. Birk's was able to efficiently utilize a lot more of the space than we had used before. We couldn't have imagined our yard could look so good. We have been so happy enjoying the now beautiful outdoors at our home. What a change. Thank you Birk's!
