Andrew Deonarain of the Torcan Group was referred to me by a relative who was making major renovations to an older home and needed the eaves troughs and down spouts replaced. A contractor himself, he was delighted with Andrew’s work and later recommended Torcan to several of his neighbours. Five of them subsequently hired Andrew to do similar work. Because most of the original eaves troughs and down spouts were still functional, he suggested only replacing the one that had been installed improperly by the builder and by adding leaf guards where we have overhanging trees. He quoted a fair price and promised to complete the work within a month. Two days ago he called to schedule a convenient time for his crew to do the work. They arrived yesterday and completed the job in an afternoon. The eaves trough that he replaced had a span of about 40 feet. So to improve drainage he added a second down spout, giving us one at each end. AND he did not charge extra! In addition, he noticed that the builder did not properly install the soffit at one of the corners of the house, providing potential access for animals to enter the attic.
