Mathew and Ben have built an impressive team of professionals. They are honest, and displayed exceptional customer service throughout the process. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends. Thanks Basement Builders for creating some much needed space for our family.

2 words to describe our experience with Basement Builders: Blown Away When we were finally ready to build our basement, no one we knew could refer us to a competent basement development company, so we consulted the Home Stars site and Basement Builders were at the top of the list with rave reviews. We had a good feeling after the initial phone call with Don, but once he came to our house for a quote, we were immediately put at ease and decided that we would look no further in terms of shopping around for another quote - a true testament to the trust established from the start of the project. Every step of the way with this build was professional - from the list of rules posted at our door (outlining their expectations for their trades), to the Cost Certified interface (online program for choosing options for flooring, cabinetry, etc), to the attention to detail from all the trades. Not once thoughout this project did we worry about something being done right and on time, in spite of the Corona Virus presenting itself halfway through our build. All of the employees, including site supervisors and owner, took all the necessary protective precautions (i.e use of gloves, distancing, etc). They even had an employee come and disinfect all of the doorknobs after a trade had left. The communication between trades and owners was seamless. Every employee knew exactly what they were here to do and did it in a timely manner. Sometimes we had one trade come in and only minutes later, the following trade scheduled was coming in. The site supervisors were here on a regular basis to oversee the work during/after it was done. The trades were all very friendly and happy to engage in a conversation - genuinely great people. It was obvious that they thought highly of the company as we heard things like "Basement Builders bend over backwards for their clients" and "a great company to work for". The level of communication that the site supervisors/ owners had with us was outstanding. The few minor issues we had were quickly taken care of. As soon as we would communicate with the supervisors or owners, we would receive a response literaly within a few minutes. Now that we've seen with our own eyes how much is involved in developing a basement, we are without a doubt thankful that we hired a professional company instead of trying to manage it ourselves. We are thrilled with the outcome and considering that we've added another 700 square feet of living space to our house, it is absolute value for the money.

We recently had our basement developed by the Basement Builders. From start to finish we were impressed with their professionalism, including respect for our home, design expertise, and management of sub-contractors. Their responsiveness to any questions was prompt and any concerns were dealt with timely and satisfactorily. The project was completed on budget, on time, and with a very high level of quality. We would not hesitate to recommend their services.

From bare minimum cement unfinished to beautiful finished we are happy happy . Contractors were all polite and friendly Any concerns were quickly dealt with, even on a friday night at 8pm on a long weekend!! Quick replies and courteous staff

Basement Builders just finished renovating our basement and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with them. The quality of the work is fantastic and we’ve been getting tons of compliments on the finishes. Overall the whole team was very easy to deal with. Someone was always available to answer our questions and communication wasn’t an issue. The contract was clear and straightforward. The project finished on time and on budget. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Basement Builders to anyone looking to get their basement built.

Starting with the initial meeting, Mathew and Ben shared creative layout ideas for our space, did a comprehensive walk-through of the process, and were very enthusiastic about developing our basement. The process moved very quickly once we signed on with them. Trades started coming to our house a few days later, and were extremely professional and tidy throughout the project. The basement was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, and in the timeframe we had discussed. Mathew, Ben and Chris are all extremely customer service centric. When contacted, they would pick up the phone immediately or text answers right away for any questions we had. We typically got a reply from Mathew within a couple of minutes! We love the new space, its exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Basement Builders - thanks guys!

We hired Basement Builders based on meeting with Mathew and Ben! During our experience we were floored with positive answers from both Mathew and Ben! Alongside every contractor that entered our home. Not only were they all professional, they cleaned up after every time they entered our home. We knew exactly when they would be here. No surprises no unknowns. Each contractor for plumbing, painting, electrical, flooring, drywall was hands down professional and knowledgeable! Everytime we had a question, it was answered immediately! Everything we discussed happened. We are very impressed with the service and most of all the quality. The wet bar, fireplace, under the stairs development for the children all done immaculately. Our home is complete and so is the magic. We can say the magic is now fulfilled throughout our home. We are so grateful for Basement Builders! We will always refer Basement Builder's. In our experience a basement can make or break your home and for us it made it even better!!
