    Attic Extension : Residential Project

    We were searching for a structural engineer when we were looking to build an attic extension. We decided to hire ASR Engineers after lengthy research, including talking with many engineers and reviewing their portfolios. We had a number of conversations with Anwar and met Anwar several times in his office. Anwar is patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. ASR Engineers exceeded my expectation and Anwar's team is a real pleasure to work with.

    Summer Room Extension

    ASR Engineers helped us patiently through a protracted building permit application process. The team assembled complex engineering drawings and stayed engaged during a prolonged email thread, charging well below market value for this first-class service. Kudos, in particular, to Annette for her outstanding help and to Anwar for keeping his word to see this project through.

    Basement underpinning drawings

    I was very satisfied with using ASR Engineers. We needed to get some drawings done for an underpinning project for our basement. As a person who is new to this, I felt at ease with ASR as they were very helpful, answered all my questions, were very responsive, and also helped with my permit submissions to the City. From the initial contact they were very quick to get out to the house and the turnaround of the drawings were extremely fast, as well. I will have no hesitation to use their services again!

    Basement reno and garage door widening

    Anwar was a pleasure to work with. He understood our request and worked diligently to provide the best solution to meet our needs. Anwar finished everything in a tamely manner with prompt email and phone responses. He also follows the process to completion ensuring the city's requirements are met to the end.     Designed New Custom Home

    I approached Anwar from ASR Engineers with an idea to build our modern, custom home. Anwar and his team were able to bring that vision to life exactly the way we wanted. He was very accommodating of the details I asked for at each stage. He provided a full end to end service with design, structural, HVAC permit process etc. We really enjoyed working with team ASR Engineers and consider them for future project.

    Structural assessment

    ASR Engineers (Anwar) performed an inspection of floor sagging and damaged joists, and provided us with a written assessment and recommendations. The report was detailed, timely, and addressed our safety concerns.

    Responsive and professional

    ASR has done the structural design for underpinning and adding a walk out to my bungalow and collaborating for permit approval. ASR is reliable and responsive and collaborative with the contractors. I would recommend them and I look forward to with with them again.

    Structural report for city inspections dept

    ASR Eng provided timely review of project and all necessary paperwork for submission to City of Toronto Inspections with no issues. Very easy folks to work with and I'd certainly use them again.

    Basement Renovation Design And Approval

    The project involved drafting renovation plans, securing building permits, and completing progress reports throughout the project. Anwar proved to be a tremendous asset and his knowledge and insight into the design and permit process were evident throughout. Anwar was highly responsive, provided solid recommendations, and completed the work faster than expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Anwar and his team for future renovation projects.

    Architectural Drawings for Home Addition

    We were very satisfied with the work we had completed by ASR Engineers. We hired ASR to complete a set of architectural drawings for a substantial home renovation we are planning for. From the moment we initially spoke with Anwar he was able to provide us with a sense of comfort that they would be willing to work with us to make sure the ideas we had regarding our renovation would be well reflected in the plans they would provide. Anwar, Syed and Raymond were accommodating, respectful and professional. The initial attendance at our property to take measurements was during COVID. ASR made us feel comfortable by ensuring only one individual entered our home to complete the task and by respectfully meeting outside in our backyard. Raymond was beyond professional and polite while inside our home and did an impeccable job of taking accurate and thorough measurements. Syed is very experienced in the entire process of dealing with the City, from being knowledgeable about the Zoning review and Committee of Adjustment application process and being able to adequately provide us with all the information we needed to get through the nitty gritty of dealing with the Municipality on a building project. Anwar was always agreeable and accommodating when we contacted him with requests for changes to our drawings and never made us feel like we were being indecisive. He always took our calls, was supportive and never discouraged us about any revisions we wanted to make. As our project continues to proceed through the various steps with the Municipality, ASR has continued to provide us with timely support. ASR provided us with all our planning needs at a very competitive price with great service and support. We highly recommend ASR for your engineering and architectural needs!
