    Structural Services & Permit Drawings

    I had worked with Anwar for the past almost 2 years. I can't even begin to explain how great he was. Simply put, he is one of the best person I've ever met so far. But that's putting it very mildly. Simply saying that he is a great engineer would be a huge understatement. I highly recommend him to everybody who's going to renovate a house or build custom home.

    Structural Assessment

    Anwar was very helpful to assess our basement foundation wall and one load bearing wall. We were under a tight deadline and his team was very accommodating in providing his assessment and documentation for our timeline.He is very though and an excellent communicator.

    project

    I needed a site inspection report to get approved by City in Kitchener very quickly and Anwar's prompted response - even working in the weekend resolve to close the permit which was very much appreciated. He also submitted the report to the city inspector which saved me a lot of hassle. I found him very professional, knowledgeable, responsive, empathetic, meticulous and a great team to work with. He understood my situation and took the extra steps to make it as easy for me as possible. I would highly recommend ASR Engineers and would use them again in a heartbeat.

    Opinion on ceiling vaulting and wall

    Had a structural engineer come out to provide an opinion on whether we could vault the ceiling in our master bathroom and whether we could take out a wall. The engineer was able to easily confirm for us that the wall was not load bearing and let us know why. For ceiling it was very tough to get a straight answer from him. He kept explaining the importance of permits for both us and himself. We explained we knew this and were not planning on doing any structural work without one but he kept bringing it up. We just needed a straight yes or no but he kept evading the answer. When we finally got a answer back it was a maybe and we needed to get him drawings of our house and pay ~$1000. Then he could tell us definitely if we could remove them and how we would need to add support to the building for this. Appreciate this may have required an additional cost but was VERY hard to get a quote out of him. Outside of that he was very nice and gave us advice on how to minimize costs of our renos which we appreciated.

Any structural element renovation inside the house require building permit. I am sorry if you feel I have pushed you for the permit. It was easy for me to comment on load bearing wall rather than the ceiling. I can't check the ceiling properly because it was hard for me to see other-side of the ceiling. The quotation we provided was to prepare a building permit drawing for removing wall and ceiling of approx. 2800 sqft house. Once again thank you very much for your business.     Side entrance drawing

    We retained ASR engineering to provide drawings for a permit for a side entrance in our home. Anwarus communication was excellent, and he was thorough explaining what needed to be done. He also followed up along all stages of our project and made us feel comfortable and confident that he would handle all issues. Overall we had a very positive experience.

    Front Porch, Car Port, Back Deck Design Plans

    Working with Anwar was a very positive experience. He has keen knowledge of design ideas and suggested new ways of thinking about my front porch, back deck and carport plan. His drawings were very detailed. He is very much knowledgeable about city permits and how to obtain them easily and quickly. He was available for ongoing questions once my construction began till its done. I highly recommend Anwar and his organization.

    Porch Expansion

    We were so worried when City showed up with a notice that our Porch expansion wasn't done as per code. We tried contacting a few people to help us out without any success. Someone suggest Anwar from ASR Engineers and viola he just got it done for us in no time. No questions or concerns were left unanswered and all were expediently addressed. His drawings and ideas were innovative and truly took into consideration our needs and requirements. We would highly recommend Anwar and the team at ASR Engineers Inc. for any home expansion or renovation.

    Retaining wall

    Anwar was outstanding to work with. He made himself available on short notice and went above and beyond to assist us in getting our project properly planned and finished in a timely manner. His work was efficient and very well put together. Most importantly, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He gets my strongest recommendations and I hope to work with him again on future projects, should we require an engineer.

    Garage design

    Their team was very prompt in coming to see me in regards to my project as I had a stop work order. They wasted no time in getting the drawings done and they were done in a very timely and professional manner at a very reasonable price. They were very honest and open right from the start and outlined all the options for me...they meticulously explained all the bylaws and all requirements that would be needed to submit the drawings. They also did their best to provide me with excellent options that wouldn't require me to spend extra money...in fact, they always tried to save me money. They are very knowledgeable and are very service oriented...the team always answered or returned all my calls, whenever I called them for questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this company. I am very pleased with their professionalism and I would certainly hire them again for future projects.

    Floor Plans

    This company done alot of drawings for my other clients on commercial or residential in 2018. And every drawings were done on time and professionally. Also, always reply emails or calls immediately.
