Large from window and bedroom window( fairly large )

The windows are an excellent addition to my home with added warmth and soundproofing. The installation was easy and quick, considering that the day of installation the outside temperature was -9C.The installers paid considerable attention to detail in the installation process, particularly as one windowis14ft.wide. They left my home and outside grounds in immaculate condition. I certainly would hire this company again.

    patio door job

We highly recommend West Coast Windows - in fact we have referred them twice already and both referrals turned into complete home window replacement jobs and both referrals were extremely happy as well! Our experience (three times now) is one thing, however when you refer a product or service to friends, neighbours or family, you feel responsible too, so when they also have a great experience, that means something. Keep up the great work, West Coast!

Friendly, professional, efficient service and a quality product. Our new windows gave our older home a face lift, plus the improved R factor and noise reduction are a noticeable improvement. Very Happy with West Coast Windows and would recommend them to others looking for window replacements.

    Great windows

We are extremely happy with the quality of windows and doors we received from West Coast Windows! We looked at a lot of manufacturers and visited many show rooms before making a decision. We chose West Coast Windows as they are manufactured locally, they install their own products and have an extremely strong warranty which is posted on the website. The windows turned out even better than we thought or were expecting and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any friends or neighbours.

    Amazing service

We decided to have our windows replaced with West Coast Windows 18 years ago and are very happy with our choice. They stand by their products 100% and have just come out to fix a glass issue free of charge even after the original warranty had expired. I cannot say enough about your firms commitment to quality, warranty and outstanding service.

    Window replacement

Quality of windows is superb, no issues whatsoever. Installers worked diligently and at the end the installation was really proper. However, we think the project didn't run smoothly due to poor planning. Troubles started when the measurements were done incorrectly and all 6 windows came small. The installers mastered to fit 4 out of 6 by building a wooden casings around which ultimately made the trick but unfortunately also made an already small bathroom window even smaller. Surprisingly we were told that we would've had to pay for re-manufacturing that window if we wanted it bigger. This explanation didn't make any sense to us as we expected proper measurements in the first place and not excuses. The other 2 windows had to be re-manufactured anyway as building wooden casings wasn't a viable option. Naturally we didn't have to pay again for those 2 windows, however when they arrived a couple of weeks later the glass of another bathroom window wasn't obscured as ordered. It had to be re-ordered and replaced at yet another time. We had the crew come in 3 times instead of what was advertised as a one-day job. Not easy to rate the company performing as described, there is definitely a room for improvement when it comes to planning and managing. However with that said we say we are satisfied with the quality of product and end result which combined with a lifetime warranty allow us to recommend the company for similar projects assuming those organizational issues will be fixed.

    Doors, windows - sloppy craftsmanship

The quality of their products are good, and our first experience with them was positive. However our second time with them for all our doors and remaining windows was very disappointing. Extremely sloppy craftsmanship, excessive caulking and filler used, and left for us to "clean up". The trim boards around our door aren't cut at the proper angle and leave a gap at the door jam, the board is warped, and we had to request someone come back and clean up the mess they left. French doors are difficult to lock, installer told my wife "you have to give it a tug to lock it". Also they need to be more thorough with ensuring customers have all relevant information and not assume we've visited the showroom and know everything about the product. Very simple things could have gotten them 5 stars instead of 2, but at the end of the day what we remember is what we see when the installers leave, and that was extremely disappointing.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Chad Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback on your experience. We take any feedback very seriously as it helps us to improve our installation techniques and services. We recognize your concern about the caulking and filler on the wooden trim surrounding the entry doors, however our first priority with all of our windows and doors is proper weatherproofing to make sure you get the most durable and long lasting installation possible. When you previously contacted us about your concern with the sealant and filler we sent a service team back to inspect these items for you. In addition to the exterior weather seal we also like to provide a tight seal for the doors weather stripping. When you are pulling the door shut and locking it, you are feeling the weather stripping compress against the door giving you the most energy efficient seal. With all doors there is some play with the deadbolt strike plate, which can be adjusted to make the door close with no resistance, however the compromise would be a loose weather seal and poor energy efficiency. We understand that you assumed the entry doors would come painted, although there was no discussion of painting the doors or a selection of a paint color. During all of our in home consultations we aim to provide homeowners with as much relevant product information as possible, but we also provide homeowners with supplemental information through our detailed estimates, the estimates cover page, our door and window catalogues, our website, and our showroom. All of these resources particularize all components of our wide range of products and installs, and in this circumstance they all detail how all entry doors only come primed not painted. We would like to encourage you to contact us if there are still items with your install you are not pleases with, as is the case with all of our installs we are committed to your project and would be happy to continue to work with you to find a solution you will be happy with. Thanks The West Coast Windows Team

Window replacement and french door installation

West Coast Windows replaced all the windows in our solarium (14) and installed a french door. The estimator was responsive to our needs and requests. He worked with us to get the right product. The installation team was friendly and professional. They offered tips and ideas for finishing the interior as well. After the install, the estimator followed up to make sure everything was OK. I would definitely use them again.
