    AC/Heating

    Derek Phung of Reliance went above and beyond in our annual AC/Heating cleaning and inspection. He took the time to explain everything and did an efficient and punctual job. Highly recommended.

    Furnace, Air Conditioner, Electronic Air Filter and Humidifier

    My A/C unit (very old) failed at the end of July 2013, so I initiated the search for a replacement. The weather had turned a bit cooler so I was able to take my time. I decided to look into pricing for A/C and furnace, as my furnace was also very old, and I was sure it was only a matter of time until my hand would be forced. I initiated my search, from both independent installers and full service suppliers. I decided to make in-home appointments with one independent as well as one other full service provider, which occurred prior to my appointment with Reliance Home Comfort. My advisor, Darius Chichgur arrived on time for the appointment, and walked me through all the options available, pricing, rebates, brands of equipment, etc. All was explained in detail and my questions were answered clearly and honestly. At no point in the process did I feel pressured about anything. This was very much appreciated. At the end of the appointment, I was comfortable that the right decision was to go with Reliance, based on the information provided, the equipment offered, as well as the price. An installation appointment was arranged that fit MY schedule, also with no pressure. On the day of installation, Mark and his crew from Sauga Heating and Air showed up right on time. They put down floor protection through the house where they needed to walk back and forth. They went about their business, and completed the installation within the time frame indicated by Darius. No nasty surprises. The job was done to my complete satisfaction. At the end, Mark walked me through exactly what they had done, and explained how it all worked, what I needed to do and what would be taken care of by Reliance. It was clear that they took great pride in their workmanship. I was extremely satisfied with the Home Comfort Advisor, Darius, the pricing of the equipment and programs offered by Reliance, as well as the installation completed by Mark and his crew from Sauga Heating and Air. I would definitely recommend any or all of the above to my friends and family. Thank you Reliance, Darius, Mark and crew for a very positive experience. Now bring on summer again.

    Service Hot Water Tank.

    I had trouble with my hot water tank and called the Reliance toll free number. The lady who took my call was very courteous. Daryl - ID2109 was dispatched. Daryl was very efficient and made sure that I was informed of the insurance, specials and other services Reliance offers. Very satisfied with Daryl's service.

    Hot Water Tank

    Daryl your service technician, came to our home to repair a leak in the water tank. We were very impressed not only with the speed in which he repaired the problem, but with his knowledge, efficiency, and friendliness. This was our first encounter with your service department, and we would recommend Daryl at any time to friends and family. Should we ever require service again, we hope Daryl will be available to us.' Thank you for your prompt and timely service.

    furnace / a/c installation

    Barry (921) and John (2310) were extremely knowledgable and attentive to detail. Barry's experience provided the least intrusive installation of a new forced air furnace and A/C. Their attention to detail allowed our newly purchased home to feel like they were never even there....other than the cheaper hydro and gas bills...;)..Thanks guys! Appreciate your good work. Devin

    water heater replacement

    Not all service technicians are the same with Reliance. we moved into our house in Nov and was told by our insurance that we had to replace our hot water heater to get coverage for tank leakage. We had someone over from reliance and they quoted us over $400 to switch out the water heater because they claimed they couldn't use the existing venting! We decided to hold off on the replacement and then this week the tank started leaking everywhere. We got in a different tech this time, he showed up within an 2 hours of our call. Joey D. ID 977 was amazing. Very polite and courteous but more importantly he was able to side mount the motor on the replacement water heater to take advantage of the existing venting saving us some significant cost and hassle. At the same time when he inspected the venting outside of the home he noticed it was poorly sealed along with a couple of other vents and pipes and took the initiative to reseal all of them. Joey really went above and beyond. It's nice to have your expectations exceeded. If you do get a large quote to replace a water heater get a second opinion and ask for Joey (ID 977) if you can.

    Hot Water Tank

    Daryl was great when he showed up because we had rusty water. Tried a quick fix the first time and than ultimately had to come back to replace the water heater. He was fast and super friendly. I would request him should we have another problem down the road.

    Maintenance check

    Margaret ID#3914 came to service my Lennox furnace yesterday, just for a maintenance check. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the furnace. She was scheduled to come between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m. She arrived at 11:15 a.m. and was finished by 12:15 p.m. I found her very personable and if I ever need future service calls, I would hope to get her again or someone as cheerful and helpful as she was.

    new 3rd floor furnace and air conditioner

    In May of 2013 we hired Reliance Home Comfort to do very tough installation of a new furnace and air conditioner on the on the 3rd floor of our home. I am posting the thank you letter I wrote to them as they did a great job. We dealt with Jeff Parsons out of the Burlington Reliance Office. He was great. Here is the letter: Dear Mr. Parsons, Stephen and I wanted to write a letter of thanks regarding the extraordinary job you and the whole Reliance Comfort team did in reference to the very complex installation of our new furnace and air conditioner in our 3rd floor office. Wow. We still can’t believe you managed to fit it all. Thank you for doing such a thorough job explaining the process, the options and costs involved. You were so completely on top of every detail. Everything unfolded exactly as you said it would right down to the furnace fitting within a matter of a few inches, as you said it would. You explained everything so well and walked us through each step. We had had several quotes on the job and by far yours was the best. Other companies were not even sure if it could be done. Thanks to you , it was superbly done and affordably so. The install technicians were tidy, prompt and knowledgeable. They worked seamlessly as a team in very tight circumstances to pull off an extraordinary install. They were totally professional. We have loved having the new furnace and air conditioner. It is much more efficient than our older one, as you promised. It has been much cheaper to run the air than I expected because the furnace is so efficient. It’s not just us that have loved it. During the last heat wave a few days ago, our neighbours all slept over at our place because it was so wonderfully comfortable. Thank you again for doing such a great job.     water heater review

    I had David Tran from Flan Air to look into my water heater because I wasn't getting hot water this morning. Turns out it was a ball in the valve stuck. David pinpointed the issue and get it fixed right away, didn't even take him 5 minutes! He even educated me on what to do next time and some other little tricks :)
