Central Air Installation and Repair
Theres a couple of reasons stopping me from giving a rating of 10 stars.
First, the the contractor hired by Reliance to install our central air unit did a poor job. They left a mess outside by the compressor as well as downstairs in our basement by the furnace. After putting in the coil they didn't reseal it very well because when turning on the the fan, air was being blown out through the seams on the duct area. They also seemed to be in too much of a rush to take the time to walk my wife on how to program the thermostat, like we were told they would do by the Reliance sales rep. Tommy.( who did a great job in helping us make the right decision on what unit to buy)
The unit installed never worked properly ( we had it for three weeks) and I was forced to make a service request via on-line. Though they were prompt and friendly in setting up an appointment there was a communication breakdown between their service call centre and the service techs, as no one showed up for the scheduled appointment. After that mix up I was tempted to have them (Reliance) come and take out their faulty equipment and refund my money. What stopped me was the staff that I dealt with. Tommy and Eddie were fantastic.
Once, another service call was arranged, the service tech that came out was Eddie. He conducted himself in a professional manner, he was friendly, helpful and informative. He took the time to explain what he was doing. He took some readings from the unit and informed me the compressor was dead.
Too Reliance's credit, they gave us a brand new unit as opposed to just replacing the compressor.
Eddie and his helper Derick were the ones who came out to install the new unit 2 days later. I wasn't there but my wife was and she was really pleased with the service that Eddie and Derick provided.
If not for those two issues I would have given a 10 Star rating.
