    Install of a HRV system (Todd Downey)

    We recently retained Reliance in Brantford to install an HRV unit in my personal residence. We had been struggling mightily with condensation build up on the base of our window sills. I had previous experience with Reliance (hot water tanks) so I figured I'd give them a chance with the HRV. Although I had concerns about the install (had to be reinstalled and rewired), I DID NOT have concerns about my contact at Reliance (Todd Downey). He was professional, courteous and very punctual. He was confident and knowledgeable about the product and promised if it didn't conform to my expectations, he would work to ensure we were satisfied. Any questions, please just ask.     Furnace Replacement

    Our salesperson Todd Downey was incredibly helpful! He was there within two hours of the call we made when our furnace died and we had no heat. When he arrived we were immediately impressed with how friendly, personable and professional he was. He explained all of our options and the benefits of both renting and buying. As an added kindness he left us some space heaters until the Reliance crew could come and install our furnace. Totally unexpected and much appreciated! Would recommend Todd and Reliance to our friends and family in a heartbeat.

    Home comfort system (furnace and A/C)

    In early December we made the wise decision to invest in a home comfort system through Reliance. Our Sales Rep, Todd Downey was extremely throrough in walking us through the process and provided alot of education to inform me on what the best set up would be for our house. I was blown away by how quick the installation took place. Many places take 6-8 weeks....we had both our new furnace and A/C unit installed 2 DAYS after the order was placed! We could not believe the difference it made to our home air quality and comfort. My only regret is that we did not contact Todd sooner! In addition to the vastly improved comfort, we are also really looking forward to seeing the cost savings from the improved efficiencies the Reliance products offer.

    Insurance on furnace

    Mr. Mike Macarthur suggested that I insure my furnace monthly to cover any repairs that might occur. I called Reliance and set the monthly program up. Thanks Mike for taking the worry out of furnace repair costs.

    Hot water heater

    WARNING!!! Do NOT deal with Reliance Home Comfort for hot water heater rentals. It has been a nightmarish experience. We've been trying to get a copy of our rental contract since October 2012, only to be told it doesn't exist over 3 months later. They said the telephone conversation we had when the heater was ordered is the contract. Previously they said several times that they would send the contract in the mail. They will NOT provide copies of the phone conversation, even though they said they would. They have raised prices without warning, given false information to us repeatedly, will NOT pick up the water heater as they said they would, will NOT terminate the agreement as they said they would, and have given us the run around for months. They are the worst company we have ever dealt with. We're filing a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Services. Only after I filed formal complaints with The Ministry of Consumer Services, quoting the Consumer Protection Act 2002, and the Better Business Bureau did Reliance close my file. The contract NEVER arrived.

    Furnace repair

    I'd like to let everyone know of how convenient it is to rent a furnace from Reliance. Everything is in the 'package' I was offered few months back. It saved us a lot of money. We even got the rebate that we were told about at the time of purchase! My positive experiences with Reliance do not end here though. We recently had a problem with our furnace. It seemed to turn on and off by itself. We immediately called Reliance knowing that we wouldn’t have to pay for repair because this is covered in their service. An hour and a half later, a repairman from Canadian Air Systems arrived. The furnace wasn't malfunctioning when he checked it, but he did something to it and it started working properly after that. I appreciated it that they kept their word about making their maintenance and repair services free to their customers. The technician also appeared knowledgeable and resolved the issue at once. He no longer explained what happened to the furnace, but it really doesn't matter. It works perfectly fine now. Besides, I am an old man. I don't really need any information that I won't understand!

    furnace repair

    had repair done on furnace. when he was done he noticed a rotted fitting on my waterheater. he fixed it right away before it lets go and floods my basement, i would have never known until it happened. thanks for saving me a massive headache. and didn't even cost me anything!

    new furnace and central air

    Reliance Home Comfort has provided me with a new high efficiency furnace and central air package for my home at a great monthly price and they have gone well beyond my expectations from sales visit to installation.Great job! I would highly recommend Reliance.

    Furnace

    I signed up for the Reliance Home Comfort Plan and I am glad I did. My furnace kept shutting off so I called Reliance and booked an appointment. Joe arrived right on schedule. He is professional and knowledgeable and soon had my furnace up and running again. I highly recommend Reliance. Thanks Joe!

    Water Heater Repair

    I was having trouble with my water heater since the day we moved into our new home. No matter how long we kept the water turned to hot, it never heated up past lukewarm. I called Reliance, and after asking a few questions, they told me that an external GTA service company - whom work for Reliance - will call to set up an appointment. I received the call within the next 10 minutes of ending my call with Reliance. The repair man was sent to my home by evening of the same day. He not only showed me what/where the problem was in the water heater, but he also showed me how to temporarily fix the issue - should it happen again. He was also very helpful in leaving me guidelines as to what I should tell Reliance, the next time it happens. My water is now hot to the touch! Thank you so much Reliance
