    New Furnace

We had a great experience from the initial call made at 11 PM when the furnace broke down to the installation of a new one. The Senior Service Technician, Amit was wonderful. He arrived on time and was increadibly knowledgeable about the products. He was patient with us while we deliberated on his valuable insight and helped us make the best decision for our particular situation. He then followed up after the furnace was installed to ensure that we were completely satisfied and didn't have any other questions. The two men who installed our furnace, Jonathan and Adam were also fantastic. They were on time and extremely professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and it's staff to anyone!

The service person was punctual in arriving to our residence and was very courteous and friendly. He did a very good job in fixing the problem and also did a thorough yearly check up of the air conditioner. Job well done! Thank you.

    leaky DHW tank

How many techs does it take to fix a leaky drain valve? No this is not a joke..... 2 techs in one day and neither can fix the issue. They say because there is no floor drain or sump that it must be done by a plumber. Now I am not sure about what others think, BUT I am pretty sure plumbers can use a pail just as easy as a reliance tech can. So as the call was made at 630am and first tech at 1pm, second call at 7pm, second tech at 930pm. So the tank has had almost all day to drain on it's own onto the floor with customer left to clean up the mess. Spoke with several customer service reps and they said there is nothing they can do, so I got a bucket and did the impossible! Walked up stairs and dumped the water outside. Now finally they can come and fix the tank. Thank you to Julius though, (a CSR rep) who has taken it on his own to track this and make sure it gets completed this time. Hopefully excuse free. This has to be a first, as I have never heard or read anything like this happening before. I do hope some sort of review of these "technicians" can be done and perhaps some training on what a bucket is used for. As a side note, a friend of mine told me that an in-line water pump can be used to solve issues like this, and it may not be a bad idea to have liquid based service personnel carry that tool in their work vehicle.

rental furnace, water heater and air conditioner

I have had nothing but problems!! First reliance left me without a furnace til Dec. 20th and no heat in my house at all. once it was finally installed it flooded my basement twice in the first week. it has broken down every winter and it takes reliance a few days to come fix the issue. sometimes no body would even show up. Again i was left with no heat!! water heater went and i was left with no water in the entire house for 5 days because the shut off they had to the tank didnt work. Once again my basement was flooded! the air conditioner has also broke down every year!!!!! last summer it took 7 service calls over a 5 day period to get that fixed. And it went again this summer. No Frustration guarantee???? never been more frustrated!!! No Lemons Guarantee?????? Pretty sure lemons are all i have. Energy Savings? not likely since the installation was poorly done and there are air leaks in the new duct work! The Right Call. Guaranteed? Try the WRONG call. Guaranteed!!!!! I have never been more disgusted. As a young first time buyer i feel i was taken advantage of. I was mislead. and thought this was a rent to own situation not rent for life! and now i have recently found out there is a lien on my house put there by reliance. I have already paid over $5000 in rental fees and now they say to buy out of the agreement is $8000. Really????
