Replace a leaking hot water tank

One of my rental properties had a leaking hot water tank. I called on sunday evening to report the problem. An appointment was made for the following morning between 7AM and noon. The representative called at 9AM and arrived 10 minutes later. He was very professional and thorough with the repair. The tank was replaced and the job was done in less then an hour. Thanks that is why I deal with RELIANCE on all 25 of my hot water tanks.

Service call to fix incorrect installation

Reliance came 4 years ago to install a rental water heater. Last week, the gas provider was out and tagged the water heater. He said it was incorrectly installed, that all Reliance cares about is raking in customers and then does a shoddy job. Called Reliance and they said a service tech (from a private company) would be out the next day. He was there when they said he would be and said he could do the fix for $50. I said no way because it was their fault for incorrectly installing it in the first place. He said he'd have to call the office... he did and proceeded to do the repair at no charge. It seems to be fixed now, but I can only give this 2 stars because a) it was incorrectly installed, and b) they tried to make me pay to correct their own error. :-(

    Furnace and AC service

Adam serviced our furnace and air conditioner yesterday, august 8, 2012. He did an excellent job and everything was spic and span. He even cleaned out the drain in the basement floor. I would like to have him come back again next time.

    Central Air repair

I purchased the heating and cooling home comfort plan from Reliance and am so thankful that I did! I turned my central air on for the first time this weekend and nothing happened. I called Reliance first thing on Tuesday and they set up an appointment for a repair person to come Wednesday between 7-11. The repair person arrived within the time frame and fixed the problem with the central air. From the time of the first call made to reliance to the time that my house started cooling down was just a little over 24 hours. I am so happy with the service I have received from Reliance and highly recommend their home comfort plans!

    Service to Hot water tank...

We called Reliance Home Comfort to service our hot water tank, informing them that there were seven people who relied on the service. The first time they never showed up. They claimed to have called, but didn't get an answer. With five teenagers in the house, I'm not surprised no one answered. Someone may have been on the phone already, or they may have simply ignored a call from an Unknown Caller. I was not informed that my scheduled appointment would be cancelled if I didn't answer the phone. I expected Reliance to honour its appointments. The seven of us were without hot water for a couple of days. When we rebooked, the same thing happened. They may or may not have called. No one answers Unknown Caller phone calls. We had to call the dispatcher at Reliance three times before someone was finally sent...late. Our first call was Wednesday night. We finally got our hot water back on Saturday night.

    Job Done..

We had Reliance Home Comfort repair our Hot water Tank, and was happy they were on time for this last appointment. However, in the winter when we wanted service our concern was they said would be a delay of 2 days before repairing. They did fix, just the delay was concerning.

    Leaky A/C

We noticed that our A/C was leaking and contacted Reliance for support. They sent a technician to our home who advised us that a replacement coil unit was required. Reliance shipped the part to our home and we scheduled an appointment with a technician to perform the installation. The technician advised us that he had to weld some of the metal in place to make the unit work properly as the connection did not align properly - which made our house smell really bad. The technician was at our home all day and subsequently called in another technician to assist him. To make a long story short, the end result was that the technician damaged our insulated vent tubing and the end job looked liked something MacGyver would have put together with a tone of tape. Moments after the technician left we noticed that the unit was leaking and we immediately contacted Reliance. I explained the situation to the customer service agent and he put me on hold to connect me with customer resolutions and the line was disconnected. I called back again and had to explain myself all over. The second agent stated that she could not help me and transferred me to customer resolutions – what a waste of time. I was then transferred to an IVR system and finally reached a third agent who advised me that the department was closed. I called Reliance the subsequent day and was on hold for over ½ an hour as they stated that they could not locate the service record for the work order that was performed.... They finally located the work order but ONLY because I provided the reference number on the paperwork that was left beside the unit by the technician. We now have to be inconvenienced by having another technician come to our home to assess the situation and what about the damage????
