    AC fix

    The service tech (Josh) was very friendly and super helpful. He was very informative. The AC fan blade was rubbing against the compressor bag. He adjusted the height of fan blade in no time and our AC is running fine.

    Unsolicited Service Contract

    In May my hot water tank of 16 years started to leak and I immediately called Reliance as they had been my go to for any service needs based on their work and professionalism (which is why I still offer them a 2 out of 5 stars for satisfaction). They continuously asked me if I wanted to rent a unit, which was a surprise as I've never rented to own. I continually told them during conversations with the company that I adamantly wanted to buy my tank outright. Within two days I had a new tank installed by a skilled, professional, and friendly repair man from Reliance. When it came time to pay we only use American Express for credit card purchases, which Reliance doesn't accept. I opted to pay by cheque. The cheque was cashed by Reliance without issue for a water tank installed in full. Within a day or two of cashing the cheque, I received a welcome letter (actually 3) to their rental program to which I was committed to pay $19/mth. I immediately contacted the company to try to resolve this error and was told I would get a call back within a couple of days from the regional manager after he had a chance to review and correct the issue. A week passed and I called back to Reliance and was told that they contacted the regional manager while I was on the line and that I would get a call back after his morning meeting. Another week has passed and still no effort to resolve this bogus contract has been made by the company. I did not sign up for this service/contract, I have a receipt showing paid in full, I have the deposit information by Reliance, and yet I'm still no further ahead in a resolution. They clearly made an error and are not willing to stand by it which has severely affected my trust in this company. I'd like anyone considering to use this company that although they do great work, their practices are suspect. To top it off, my hot water tank came installed with a nice "Rental Unit" sticker which I'm still not convinced indicates the unit is brand new. Their practice, at least in Ontario, is to refurbish units for their rental pool (as indicated in one of my phone conversations with Reliance Customer Resolutions Department). I was told that Alberta doesn't participate in this, but leaving me in the lurch like this has raised my suspicions. Hopefully this will engage the company to resolve this issue/practice.

    Heating and air conditioning

    The representative from Reliance was excellent John explained everything very clearly gave us an honest opinion and was very polite and courteous We would definitely recommend John to friends and family

    Furnace Maintenance

    Absolutely horrible service by Reliance. Called them last year to install a new furnace and AC unit. They do the install and leave. The AC immediately breaks down, so now we need to call their Support. Customer service bounces us around to different people until finally we can have someone come take a look “between 4-8pm” the next day. That technician doesn’t even show up, nor do we get any phone calls. We have to call back to get someone to finally come fix it. We buy out the AC and furnace to get away from Reliance. A few months later, gas company calls to say the meter is reading incorrectly and comes to take a look at our furnace and gas line. Setup was incorrectly done with Reliance and now threatening to shut our gas down unless Reliance comes back to fix it. Reliance can’t find our file and questions if they even did the install in the first place. Support finally finds my name and sends the wrong technician to inspect our line. We now have to call back to get the right technician in, and Reliance now tells us there will be a cost involved because of their own mistake. Do not go with Reliance; horrible service and ineptitude.

    Colin is a hard worker. Fast and efficient with a good sense of humor. He was courteous and polite. His workmanship was excellent right down to the final cleanup. Keep up the great work. Rob Duench St. Jacobs

    Ian was the technician that came to service my AC he was exceptional he communicate very well and tell me every step of the way what he is doing I am very satisfy with his work

    Excellent services, very professional team

    Non-urgency Service Call made in the evening, got settled within hours to my entire satisfaction. A well and professionally trained team explained to me clearly the problem and provided solution on spot, whole job with equipment replaced within one hour. Amazing !

    AC leaked

    New AC installed last year by Reliance. Noticed a leak this morning. Technician came quickly, identified the issue, did the fix. Advised to monitor to ensure no further leaking. Technician friendly and competent

    Water Heater Repair

    Didn’t expect service to be scheduled so quickly. Our tech Nick, was very courteous and polite. He worked quickly, efficiently and was very informative. Couldn’t have asked for better service, thank you!

    Hot water Heater not heating

    Greg was knowledgeable professional clean and friendly and we loved his hair. He made suggestions and implemented corrective actions to prevent the pilot from shutting off again. A job well done!
