    Blower Replacement

Woke up at 6:45 am to a chilly house. Right away walked over to my thermostat to see it was 17.5 degrees inside I turned my fan from auto to on and quickly went downstairs and heard absolutely nothing. Panic kicked in a my two kids were still sleeping upstairs. I quickly called Reliance spoke with the women and schedule an appointment right away. When the tech arrived on sight I recognized him from a few months ago (Feb) when he came and did my yearly check maintenance check. His name was Bruce and he was such a pleasure to deal with and was happy to see him on site, such a knowledgeable and personable guy. Easy to talk too and asked all questions I had a new part was ordered and installed..exceptionally good service from start to finish.Thank you! Satisfied Customer B

    Furnace, AC & Water Tank

Our home needed a new furnace and Reliance sent a rep over to speak with me. The rep gave false and misleading information which is why we signed the contract. The rep told us that we would be renting the units, we would receive free rent for 9 months, a free Nest, and over $700 in rebates. None of this would be at any cost to us, and all we were responsible for was the monthly rental charges. I asked what would happen if we moved out, if the charges would then go to the new home owner, and the rep said yes. She said YES, that the new home owners would then take on the rental fees and I would not have to pay. The monthly rental charges were almost $300 a month, all of this we thought was necessary because we were first time home buyers and the rep assured us we needed. Two years later, we sell our home to find we now owe Reliance over $10,000 in equipment charges because they can put a lean on our house. We could not transfer the rental charges over to the new owners like we were originally told. Our only option is to buyout the equipment. We had no choice, and we paid out. After the payout we closed our account, or so we thought. We called them the day after the payout to confirm the account was closed and paid out. They assured us it was. Two months after the payout the bills keep coming. Now they say that we owe them money for the water tank. They are continuing to bill us and say that there's nothing they can do EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T LIVE THERE and we have to pay it unless the new home owners take over. Every step of the way, we have been provided false information. The issue is not that I had to pay for something, not thoroughly understanding the contract is my own fault. The issue I have with this company is the that the reps will say anything to you, whether or not it is true. These are not honest people.

    Installed new furnace and a/c

I just had a new furnace and a/c installed. Stephan, Mat and Krystin did a great job. They called ahead, and were punctual. They were very fast as well, the job was completed in about 4 hours. Thanks guys! Also thank you Scott for setting it up.

    Hot Water Tank Rental Service

Attention : TSSA and Homeowners You think you are getting the best? Think again. 6 Pictures down below I have uploaded. I have been paying monthly for 6 years for this when an issue arrives? 1. No pressure test tag!!! 2. Water Mess on floor 3. Replaced gas control but did not level!!! 4. Removed humidifier line, did not reposition before leaving. 5. Boots on at all times, fair enough but did not care to step in water and walk around home with wet boots. 6. No drop cloths positioned.

    Annual service/maintenance

The service technicians are great Backoffice is average at best. Staff are willing & able but clearly customer information on their system only gives the half the history if that. My latest beef is that when I tried to access my account(s) on-line in Apr 2019 the link I have been using for at least 5 years did not exist. When I called customer service I was told that I had not yet applied...they advised they would send me an email with instructions but when nothing appeared I called again & got the same response but I did receive an email promptly. Clearly the company discontinued the previous on-line customer access but no-one thought to inform customers

    Furnace servicing

After the furnace was serviced by Reliance, a Humidifier had to replaced into the system. A technician from Reliance promptly came by and completed the job and overall both technicians who came for servicing and replacement were very competent, helpful and courteous. The Technician Mario who replaced the humidifier also took the time to explain to me the important technical points of the system so that if need be, I could manage independently. Overall, both the technicians were excellent and helpful.

    Reliance home comfort service call

We called to check our furnace etc. as the thermostat temperature was rising and it was unusually warm. We moved to this home only a few months and are becoming with the equipment, including an air exchanger. The technician checked the equipment and advised us to monitor it, as it may on ve adjusting to the warming conditions. He suggested that we start the AC unit soon, to ensure it's running properly. We signed up for a parts replacement and maintenance plan and we're pleased to learn there is no annual contract. We had an Enercare maintenance/parts plan at our former home, however customers are required to sign an a contract that can only be changed/cancelled when it renews.

    Hot water tank

The service man should be provided with a vacuum. Installation date not written on tank. We had to remind service man to put screen cap on outside vent. We had to request that floor drain be capped. The service man was extremely obliging. He completed all requested jobs with a smile.

    Seasonal Service

Yet again, the front line service personnel from Reliance Sarnia have maintained my faith that it is worth paying for the service / coverage plan on my very old furnace and A/C. Jason was a pleasure to deal with. He was professional, efficient, friendly and exceeded my expectations as he answered my questions and provided his honest opinion and suggestions. As such, I am now confident that when I replace these units, I will be going through Reliance in order to do so.
