    Reliance sales reps are negligent at best...or just plain misleading

    Reliance sales rep, Justin quoted a $400 rebate. He never did the paperwork on his end to set this up with the province. This was an important part of the decision to sign the contract with them. I contacted them asking to fix this and never heard back from them. After multiple calls they just gave excuses and did not offer anything in return. They are very good at calling to collect if you have a $100 balance in your account though.

    AC installation went bad fast

    It has been a really warm summer this summer so my husband and I decided to rent an air conditioner from Reliance. We have a hot water tank with them and they seemed to be the way to go. The gentlemen that were here to install were very nice and were efficient in doing their job. They left me and my two kids, I thought, well off. I went for a walk a little after they left and got home to a place that smelt strong like a gas leak. But, I shrugged it off and thought it was nothing. But it was a strong smell and it was not going away. I turned off my AC unit, openned some windows and got my gas company to come and see if there was a problem. And there was, a serious leak. The guys that came and installed the AC unit had to disconnect my furnace to put an AC unit underneath and then put the furnace on top. However, they left me with my furance disconnected wrong, leaving me and my two kids breathing in toxic air. Along with a list of other things that they had not finished properly. I called Reliance in the morning and I was put on hold 20 times and they told me they were not sure that they could fix the problem. After convincing them that all I wanted was to get the problem fixed and for them to help me. They reluctantly gave me an appointment. My gas will be turned off if they don't come and fix their mistake and that makes me upset- this is not my fault. They should want to do a good job and leave families happy and comfortable. We will see if they actually do it right this time. I will update once they come next Monday. Fingers crossed. I am very happy that I called when I did...people die of toxic gas....I am happy I caught it in time

    Sales and Service

    Our hot water tank failed. We decided to replace it with a rental from Reliance. The service tech (J) and sales rep (T) were fantastic to deal with. They both went out of their way to be more than helpful and suggested best options for us. They also explained their protection and maintenance plans without applying any pressure. Great people and a product that gives peace of mind.

    Service

    Rocco was very professional and very knowledgeable. He was efficient and friendly and cleaned up his work area when he finished. I would would not hesitate to call again if needed

    Ac

    Simon was a 10 star salesman. However, the over the phone customer service was a zero. I originally called about getting an ON Demand water heater installed. Had quite a detailed conversation with the woman. Then added AC quote as an after thought. I scheduled an appointment. Simon the AC guy showed up. He was great and is an asset to Reliance. But he was the only person sent out to my house. No hot water man. I called Reliance again expressing my disappointment with them. I was put on hold forever. I then got more annoyed and told the man I had been on hold forever. I had waited around for nothing and then wasted phone minutes on hold. He said he had to find the next available day for another consult. Put me on hold. I hung up after 10 minutes waiting. He hasn't called back even though he has my number and knows what I need. I will try again as I need the new water heater but it is very frustrating. Once again, Simon was great. I ordered a whole new furnace and AC through him and would recommend him to anyone.

    a/c, furnace and water softener installation

    This week, I had a new furnace a/c and water softener installed in my home .. All Reliance techs, installers and rep were so wonderful to work with. Very helpful, knowledgeable and professional from advising me on units, to installing and to the cleanup. I would recommend Reliance to family and friends

    Water tank

    I had one of the worst experiences with Reliance Home care, as a renter of the water tank or has stopped working twice in the last two months. The last time I have a wedding to go to at 6:30. The water tank stopped working once again. I called them they can only provide me an appointment the following day, how is that good to me when I have a wedding to attend at 6:30?? They say they provide 24/7 service total bullsh*t. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They can take there tank, will never deal with them again!!!

    New Air Conditioner and Furnace arranging details with sales person and installation.

    Details clearly outlined with all options considered by Mark. Respectful. prompt and knowledgeable. Cancelled appointment with another company as I was confident to continue dealing with Reliance. Service providers in the past have been equally competent and friendly. This is a company upon which I feel I can rely. Adam and Luciano just installed my new furnace and air conditioner. They were so respectful and efficient, explained everything regarding how they work and how to program the furnace. Specifics regarding protecting the air conditioner inside and out. Would never have thought to turn the breaker off when the air conditioner is not needed!

    A.C. insrall

    From start to finish I had a good customer experience mainly because of good communication and professional attitudes. The salesman. Was able to call ahead when delayed at another jobsite. He explained my options in detail and didn't pressure me. the installers were very professional and patient with all my questions. The were keen on educating me about how my HVAC system works.
