    Furnace repair; replacement

    My 10-yr old, high-efficiency Trane furnace needed repairs. I was on the Reliance heating protection plan, so someone came to replace the circuitboard. It worked for 2 weeks, then the igniter went out. Something to do with the new circuitboard. A new igniter was ordered, delivered - but it was the wrong part. After some back and forth with the courier Reliance hired, it came a few days later and was installed. That went a week later. Very frustrating experience. After all that, they told me parts were too hard to find for this furnace and it needed to be replaced. I did some quick research and was satisfied with the price and product they proposed - a Rheem unit with a 5 yr warranty. It was installed the next day, which was great. Unfortunately the installers damaged a carpet and wall in the basement. Fortunately they paid me for the damages, although it was still an inconvenience. Lots of ups and downs. In summary, I had a good experience with all technicians and the saleman, but I was frustrated with the courier employed by Reliance (they mixed up the part with another order, making me wait an extra day or two), and the installers - a different company. I think Reliance needs to be more selective with its subcontractors.

    Fireplace Maintenance

    My Fireplace is on a maintenance contract as it is one of our main heat sources. When I called Reliance they first told me it wasn't covered on the contract with my furnace. When I explained that I don't have a furnace the call had to be escalated to the supervisor. I would not give the Reliance call centre a high mark. Having said that, when the service technician was dispatched I was extremely pleased with the service. The technician deserves five stars*****. James L., number: DAA2881, was knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to listen to the client and was able to resolve the problem quickly. Excellent customer service by James. Your system should allow me to put in a rating for the technician. Thanks!

    water heater

    Mr. Ali was very capable to do a great job fixing the water heater quickly . He was polite. He saved our day which we were very concerned for a possible gas leak. Thank you

    No hot water for 3 days

    It has been 3 days, and we have no hot water. Called them on sundayand was told technician will come on monday to fix the tank. The guy comea in Monday morning and tells me the tank needs to be replaced so we will get the tank tomorroq between 10 and 2. I had an important appointment at 1 30 so told him to make sure the guy comes in early. He was like no worries I have put the note. On tuesday, i waited till noon and called them to inquire about the technician. The lady there tells mw that our morning guy did not show up so the other technician is on his way. The technician shows up at 1:15 , and tells me that he does not even have the right tank to fix it. Called them again and was on wait for 30 mins , and qas told that the technician will now come on wednesday and will fix it. Ridiculous!!!! We live in Canada and its december and the water is freezing. There customer swrvice ia messed up and they dont have enough technicians to cover them.

    plumbing repairs

    Had a leaky pipe changed in the kitchen. Was quick and professionally done. Considering that the work was covered by my insurance plan, I am very satisfied with the service.

    Sales Knowledge

    In the spring of 2016, I was not hassled, whatsoever, by Reliance Home Comfort, when I decided not to change my furnance. That was awesome! No one likes a pushy rep! Come winter, I decided to get 'er done. The sales Rep, John C., called me immediately. His knowledge of various units, applicable deals, the programs available & identifying what I actually need [vs pushing the most expensive unit] was impressive! He listened & answered my questions thoroughly, without hesitation, and the information he gave me on rebates/grants was enlightening [I had no idea]. John made all the arrangements, with the contractors, to get this done as quickly as possible, too! Basically, Reliance Home Comfort is a pleasure to deal with & my sales rep, John C., made this a pleasurable experience! Thank you for making my family & I comfortable once again! :)

    Fast and Efficient Fix to my Water Heater

    When my hot water seemed to be running out too quickly, I called and was sent a technician the next day (Kevin from Durham Handyman). Technician was fantastic - friendly, polite, fast and super quick at diagnosis and fix. Everything worked great and no follow-up was required. Happy to have my hot water back. I would recommend Durham Handyman and also was happy with the customer service provided by Reliance.

    Water Tank Instalation

    The installer Brad # 4249 was very good and I was impressed with his dedication to get my somewhat difficult up grade done on the first visit and in time!

    Furnace Repair

    Our gas furnace seemed to be working but just wasn't putting out enough heat to keep up with the -30C cold snap we were experiencing. We endured a couple of evenings at 15C, but it felt colder. Reliance came in on 24 hours notice, and had the furnace cranking out heat in no time. Under our furnace maintenance plan, there was no extra charge. A less reputable company might have convinced us that we needed a new furnace. Great value and great service!

    Furnace Repair

    Absolutely impressed with the service provided by Dave M. . It was professional, timely which is normally the best one could hope for. It went beyond that in that I was provided with invaluable information that made me comfortable with the work required, but also will help me make better choices moving forward.
